Ritalin, Topomax, Adrenal Failure, Exhaustion

I have been diagnosed with ADHD and Adrenal Fatigue. I take 5 20mg Ritalin in the morning. I also take 100mg. Of Topomax at night for prevention of migraines. I am exhausted ALL the time. The Ritalin barely keeps me awake till noon. I've tried both Provigil and Nuvigil and both made me tired. Adderal did the same as the Ritalin. Any ideas??? I'm sleeping my life away!

Adrenal Fatigue is usually related to stress and over activity; which in this case, it sounds like both are related to the ADHD.

Narrowing it down in this sense can help you focus your primary goal on treating the ADHD and not so much the adrenal fatigue that is likely a result of the tension ADHD may be causing.

If it were me, I would use both herbs and essential oils to treat the ADHD; so that I would not "also" be experiencing side effects of prescription drugs on top of the ADHD symptoms.

I honestly think this would be the best way to go; but you'd have to consider switching off the prescription drugs and replace them with natural herbs and essential oils. Are you open to trying alternative medicine?
