Rhodes/purdue Buprenorphine Hcl 8mg Rp B8 Vs Roxanne 54 411 (Page 47)

Updated

I have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name:

*roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411
*hi tech- 8 ^(arrow)
*mylan- M924
*teva (allergen/activas owned) crooked b 799
*actavis- moon 153
*sun pharma- 460 white round
[And the brand new released generic made by Purdue and distributed by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals the new Rhodes generic]
*RP b8- white round bevelled and pretending edges.

I currently have had a smooth switch to the Roxanne/westward and declined mylan, actavis, teva, hi tech, sun pharma as most research and reviews conclude the Roxanne/westward generics the 54 411 seem to be best reviewed. I was unable to find the Purdue/Rhodes pharma newly released generic RB b8 imprinted generic. All I know is Rhodes and Purdue are professionals in the process of making quality meds and not just quality meds but pain relief medication, as they even were the company to CREATE oxycontin. I was able to come across one image of them on the web and they look very similar to the Roxanne 54 411s in size color and mostly shape except for the rhodes/Purdue ones protrude or kind of pop out on each side beyond the bevelled edges. They look really well made and on one side they have RP and otherside b 8 which the b and 8 are fairly far apart. I have been doing great from switching from brand films to the Roxanne westward 54 411s so far. I'm hoping to get some feedback by next month on these newly released rhodes/Purdue generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg. They are the newest and just released October 2017 and look very shinny and quality made. I'm hoping someone here who has tried both the Roxanne/westward and the new Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8 tablets. I am going to try and have my pharmacy special order the new Rhodes generics made by Purdue again imprinted RP b 8 white round shinny tablets fairly similar to the Roxanne but look better quality imo but do not have much experience with generic just brand and am very well versed on pharma companies and their medicine and their quality each one has.

Has anyone tried these new rhodes/Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8? How would you compare them to the Roxanne 54 411 tablets... I hope for a response or it will be trail and error for me when ordering Rhodes next month if i stay on this route and will see how they compare to the Roxanne/westward but will not be til a month away. Please if you have any experience with these generics and especially the new rhodes/Purdue one let me know. Again I was able to locate only one image of them and they look great. They do not look small like hi tech more like a combined Roxanne and mylan with the shininess and how they pop out on each side..they look a little larger like the mylan and Roxanne not small like hi tech or teva or activas they are round tablet imprints RP b8 with b and 8 fairly far apart. Any feedback would be great and I would want to switch to rhodes/Purdue from roxanne (now westward being a factor) generics as they make quality are new just released and approved this year 2017 of October and no one how even mentioned them yet that I can find. With westward buying out Roxanne and them making changes a new generic made by Purdue may be just the one we have been waiting for and needing..again on the 54 411 ones now and looking for feedback on the new Purdue Rhodes ones and if the switch from Roxanne westward to rhodes/Purdue would be better maybe with better quality as they have always been a great and reputable company who makes outstanding drugs. Any feedback would be great.

Exactly!! I didn’t like the Rhodes product at all! I haven’t tried the hikma 54/411! Roxannes were the best in my opinion. I use hi tech. Those are the only ones I like anymore!!
Right Goozer?! How you are doing?! Happy 4th and be well be safe! Has anyone gotten the virus?!?!

Re: Goozer (# 11) Expand Referenced Message

Hi I was hoping that ypu could gove me some feedback as to how you were able to obtai. A script for alprazolam while on subs? I was on alprazolam years ago but now they won't prescribe them to me [many of drs] they have stated that I'm unable to take both@the sametime and would have to choose one or the other? Which i didn't understand considering my past anxiety disorder etc etc but being on a medicine that is for addiction recovery they say this is why they're unable to do so? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm in northern part of VA...if you would know of any Drs in the location that would do both please let me know or if someone out there reading this sees this thread reach out to me I've been through alot struggle everyday w anxiety/depression/ptsd/bipolar lost my brother gma n papa all within 13days in 2007 its been very rough

Re: TT (# 923) Expand Referenced Message

Hello, I can’t tell you why mr doc agreed when I asked him for something for panic attacks but I was on Suboxone at that time about 5 years. I honestly wish he would not have because now I’m addicted to them and kicking them is worse than heroin, cigarettes, alcohol, anything I ever took. I’m slowly tapering off, I’m almost at half of what I was doing in 3 months. Hoping to get the f*** off them ASAP. Also I live way up north.

Re: Goozer (# 3) Expand Referenced Message

I am on the RPs and have had the 54 411s. I'm my opinion, the 54 411 tablets taste better because of the little bit of a sweet taste, but that's the only difference I can tell. My pharmacy tried to charge 60 bucks more for the 54 411s. I'm always given the RPs.

My pharmacy just recently switched me to the new R P b 8 White ones that you’re talking about. I like them a lot better. To me either stronger and when you put them in your mouth it doesn’t accumulate a lot of saliva like the other ones. To me I think these are the best the newest and the best

I’ve been on the 54/411s for years and recently my pharmacy has switched over to the RPs and personally I think they are too strong. I know a few others who prefer them now as opposed to the 54s

Re: Kk (# 928) Expand Referenced Message

They are very strong. Instead of taking a half, take 2mg and it will be great for ya. No need to switch, just take less of a strong one. They are the best.

Re: Ciejai (# 925) Expand Referenced Message

They do but they taste better because there is less buprenorphine in them..so they are weaker but taste better. You want taste or potency?

Re: Goozer (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

I was on westward then actavis. I like actavis so I stayed on that for 4 years. Last month I got my prescription from the pharmacy and I instantly knew they changed manufacturers because the bottle looked different. The bottle is just like westwards. The B8 works really well in my opinion. Plus it is larger than westward. all honestly, it’s the same as westward.

I forgot to tell you, I’m also on sleeping pills (hypnotics) also from same doc.so I get 45 subutex (Rhodes), 45 x 2mg xanax (whichever I can get at different pharmacies as I have hard time getting them filled all same day). They say they have to order them or some s*** so I go to different pharmacy...and 30 Dayvigos. I have severe insomnia all my life. Thanks and I hope you find a caring doc who can write them for your anxiety.

I actually just got the new RP b8s and I honestly think they're the best. They also contain the most Bupe. Its like 8.72mg or something like that. I've had the Orange ones and they're absolutely nasty and the 54/411s and nothing compares to the NEW RP b8s. My favorite by far. I'm down to 4mg currently so I break it in half until I drop to 2mg. They dissolve very fast and hit you faster than any other brand of Subutex. That could just be me though I only weigh 150 LBS. Just figured I'd put some input! Respect.

I have been on buprenorphine 8 mg tabs for approximately 15 years For pain. I get my medications filled at a mom and pop pharmacy and they always are able to fill it with Rhodes. The Pharmacy told me today that I will have to get a letter from my current position explaining why I am not taking Suboxone. They told me that buprenorphine 8 mg tablet can only be supplied to pregnant women. I live in North Florida and I do not understand what this is about. Has anyone else heard of this? I am definitely going to talk to my pain doctor about sending the pharmacy the letter that they requested. I cannot take Suboxone because I am allergic to the naloxine which is in it. The buprenorphine 8 mg is what I take daily and have never had any problems with it. Can anybody please give me a quick answer thank you

Re: Goozer (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

I live in cook county or Chicago, and everywhere I go to pick up my subutex, I always get the same kind everytime. The 54 211. They work perfect. The only crazy thing I like about the small 8 plus the arrow cause they felt exactly the same or stronger than when I took an old OC OxyContin or a Roxicodone 30.... I couldn’t tell the difference.

Re: Jenb (# 4) Expand Referenced Message

I wanted to get an opinion on the Purdue/Rhodes pills. I recently filled my prescription and picked up my script. I was excited to try this brand as I usually get the Hi-Tec ones. I picked up the script, popped the seal, and noticed they were really chalky, and not of good quality. I’m worried that they’re some sort of counterfeit version of the Rhodes brand. The pictures I found online seem to reflect that the pills are solid and shiny, quite the opposite of what these pills that I got are.

Noticed when I went to sleep I was beyond tired and felt almost like I had been poisoned. Any advice or help??

In any sealed bottle, tablets will be powdery. If you don't like that ask to be put in a orange bottle.

Re: Han (# 935) Expand Referenced Message

When I first started taking Suboxone I got the same effect from all my favorite pain meds, sadly the longer you take subs the more that good feeling effect will fade, now taking a half is pretty much like my cup of coffee and taking a whole will make me tired

Re: Goozer (# 937) Expand Referenced Message

A sealed bottled doesn’t mean chalky and dull. The manufacturer of the medicine shows that the pills are supposed to be shiny and solid and even the spacing is off. The RP imprint is close when it’s supposed to be far apart and same with the b8. The pills are supposed to be shiny and solid, I’m thinking they’re a fraudulent medication. {edited for privacy}
