Rhodes/purdue Buprenorphine Hcl 8mg Rp B8 Vs Roxanne 54 411 (Page 25)

Updated
I have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name:
*roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411
*hi tech- 8 ^(arrow)
*mylan- M924
*teva (allergen/activas owned) crooked b 799
*actavis- moon 153
*sun pharma- 460 white round
[And the brand new released generic made by Purdue and distributed by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals the new Rhodes generic]
*RP b8- white round bevelled and pretending edges.
I currently have had a smooth switch to the Roxanne/westward and declined mylan, actavis, teva, hi tech, sun pharma as most research and reviews conclude the Roxanne/westward generics the 54 411 seem to be best reviewed. I was unable to find the Purdue/Rhodes pharma newly released generic RB b8 imprinted generic. All I know is Rhodes and Purdue are professionals in the process of making quality meds and not just quality meds but pain relief medication, as they even were the company to CREATE oxycontin. I was able to come across one image of them on the web and they look very similar to the Roxanne 54 411s in size color and mostly shape except for the rhodes/Purdue ones protrude or kind of pop out on each side beyond the bevelled edges. They look really well made and on one side they have RP and otherside b 8 which the b and 8 are fairly far apart. I have been doing great from switching from brand films to the Roxanne westward 54 411s so far. I'm hoping to get some feedback by next month on these newly released rhodes/Purdue generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg. They are the newest and just released October 2017 and look very shinny and quality made. I'm hoping someone here who has tried both the Roxanne/westward and the new Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8 tablets. I am going to try and have my pharmacy special order the new Rhodes generics made by Purdue again imprinted RP b 8 white round shinny tablets fairly similar to the Roxanne but look better quality imo but do not have much experience with generic just brand and am very well versed on pharma companies and their medicine and their quality each one has.
Has anyone tried these new rhodes/Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8? How would you compare them to the Roxanne 54 411 tablets... I hope for a response or it will be trail and error for me when ordering Rhodes next month if i stay on this route and will see how they compare to the Roxanne/westward but will not be til a month away. Please if you have any experience with these generics and especially the new rhodes/Purdue one let me know. Again I was able to locate only one image of them and they look great. They do not look small like hi tech more like a combined Roxanne and mylan with the shininess and how they pop out on each side..they look a little larger like the mylan and Roxanne not small like hi tech or teva or activas they are round tablet imprints RP b8 with b and 8 fairly far apart. Any feedback would be great and I would want to switch to rhodes/Purdue from roxanne (now westward being a factor) generics as they make quality are new just released and approved this year 2017 of October and no one how even mentioned them yet that I can find. With westward buying out Roxanne and them making changes a new generic made by Purdue may be just the one we have been waiting for and needing..again on the 54 411 ones now and looking for feedback on the new Purdue Rhodes ones and if the switch from Roxanne westward to rhodes/Purdue would be better maybe with better quality as they have always been a great and reputable company who makes outstanding drugs. Any feedback would be great.

Hi david,..just curious about your statement about the original brand, when I started taking this medicine way back when only brand name was around, the suboxone was orange stop sigh shaped, and the subutex was white shaped not rounded with what looked like a cross was on one side...so I'm just confused when you called subutex orange?..
I just got the RP 8 I don’t like them at all!
I liked the 54/411 or the hightec 8 arrow.
I go thru Bartells and I have not been happy I had the orange one terrible made u feel like withdrawal and very irritated
Re: Goozer (# 670)
What's going to end up happening is rhodes pharmaceutical is going to take over the buprenorphine market. No more that we hype up about they're good they're better they're the best the more the price is going to go up. My uncle is a pharmacist. Watch what I tell you. He owns a mom-and-pop pharmacy in a very small town that I'm not going to disclose. Cardinal healthcare distributors is the manufacturer supplier. A bottle of 30 is what they come in and they cost around $2.12 per pill so you will likely pay $250 or better for 90 of them. We keep talkin on here just like my uncle said and every pharmacy on this side of f***ing egypt is going to jack up the price on rhodes when it becomes the only manufacturer because the other ones expire on the shelves. So that being said let all these other people like what they want, know what they want and let's just stick to our purdue pharmaceuticals aka rhodes pharmaceuticals, better known as the manufacturer of the best pain medicine on the planet. Stop talkin about it so much before everybody has to suffer cuz I only pay $172.50 for a 90 hour probe exam tablets and 90 rhodes pharmaceutical tablets in the sealed bottles with the silica packets in them to keep them fresh and the manufacturer expiration date on mine that I got on the 26 has got them expiring in 6 months december 2019 keep that in mind when y'all keep posting all this s*** when the next time you go in there and it's $500 for the prescription like reckitt- bixer had it for the strips $10 a piece with a little known drug called naloxone that can give you diabetes and massive f***ing migraines and then turn around and get mad because their patent ran out after 10 years and somebody else was allowed to get a generic in there y'all say what you want to if you want to reply to my comment put my name in there I have a presidential debate with you about it.
Re: Best sub generic Hunter (# 673)
I get mine at a mom and pop Pharmacy that's way out of my way because CVS wouldn't order them. CVS would pretend they were only able to get certain brands. It's a pain driving all the way to this little place but I've never had a problem with them not having the meds they said they would order for me when I show up. CVS would say they were ordering me whatever brand or say they had plenty till the next day when I would be in to fill then I get there and oh we don't have enough and can't order more or whatever. Something would always happen! I say CVS just because I've tried all the chain pharmacies over the years and rite aid way bad, Walgreens was super rude and had awful brands and Walmart was just a nightmare.
Re: Bobby (# 672)
The Rhoads are available no matter what they say they was not prepared for the supply demand of them but a shortage is not likely to happen again... my uncle is a pharmacist at his own mom an pops chain an its cold hard facts from Cardinal Health distributors which by the way distributes to CVS Walgreens and Walmart it's their main manufacturer and distributor.
Re: Goozer (# 663)
I called my pharmacy yesterday to have them order my bupe and after I had to explain to the lady that I have them order specifc brands for some reason she looked in the computer and saw Rhodes was available. She out me on hold apparently to ask the owner if I could have that ordered ( who do you think gave me the ok to have it ordered every month to begin with) . Anyways I should have the Rhodes this month when I pick up my script Monday. Hopefully!
Re: Bobby (# 669)
Concurred AND agreed.
Re: Davidjw1 (# 666)
I get both and honestly Rhodes last 2 times longer and is at least 2 times the strength when compared to himka 54 411. Ran this personal test on both brand compared to each and even to other brands and Rhodes is best out there as of now. I do have a strange feeling a new generic is in the works but we shall see and until then will be sticking to Rhodes much better than the 54 411 being dished out
Re: Davidjw1 (# 666)
I've taken every generic bup every produced over the last 13 years. Unfortunately with the lack of the name brand and really high quality generic like the old Teva's which I loved there are only two brands that are okay IMO. I liked the old Roxanne brand before they changed the formula.. it was the average brand for a long time. Now I've tried the Rhodes for 6 months straight before it went on back order and I have had the hikimas the last 2 months. To me the Rhodes brand is a little stronger. It doesn't seem to last quite as long I've noticed but again hikima has gotten better since they first became hikima when I got them those were awful! They must have switched back to the original formula. Anyways they are both good but the Rhodes to me has more of a clean feel. I'm going to do an other comparison if I can get the Rhodes brand this month. Maybe Rhodes made improvements. Well see but it's not a huge difference between the two of them right now.
Re: Tim (# 667)
Everyone is different. Unless they've reformulated to more of an uplifting of sorts I'll stay with the Hikma. They work best for me and my lifestyle. Thanks. Wasn't sure if I was missing something. I know of others that prefer Hikma, too. I emailed them to suggest making an equivalent of the old orange stop sign subutex that they'd take over the generic market. But for some reason those will not be around again. Too bad too. Those were the best!
Re: Davidjw1 (# 666)
I totally agree with you. Rhodes made me tired too. I tried the “less is more” with them and it still did not work as well as the Hikma.
Re: Bobby (# 665)
Hi Bobby, you've been taking these for a while now. What about the Rhodes is it that makes you prefer them to Hikma? I tried the Rhodes for a couple of months and went back to the Hikma Buprenorphine for the past 6 months. I like how they guve me a little lift and elevate my mood and also keep me pretty mellow too. The Rhodes seemed to make me more tired after awhile. So I went back to the Hikma. Maybe they were too strong? I'm curious if this new batch is any different/better. My pharmacy can get me either Rhodes or Hikma as long as they're in stock. CVS has been able to get Hikma but they screwed me once by giving me Sun Pharma crap even when it's clearly stated on the screen "Westward Hikma Only". I trusted them but when I got home saw what they gave me. So it was then (2+ years ago) I found a compounding pharmacy who have been so great to work with that can get any brand available and subsequently got Rhodes for a couple months for me. I was a little dissapointed though. I guess we're all different. So far the Hikma have been great compared to Sun, Akorn and Actavis Buprenorphine. What trash that stuff is, for me at least.
Re: Goozer (# 663)
That's really good news! Hopefully I'll be able to get my pharmacy to order them. I'll have to tell them that I confirmed that they should be back in stock when I call next week. Sometimes they can be dismissive if you are not keeping up and staying informed with this stuff. Very good news!
Re: Dr3w (# 654)
Greenstone which is brand name xanax-best, then brackenridge, then dava (par), then activas for alprazolam
Re: Hazey (# 662)
Yes the Rhodes is back in stock. I notified everyone in post back they would be back in July. Filled mine they are back for certain. Think a new generic may he available soon hopefully
Re: Hazey (# 661)
I can confirm that I recieved Rhodes 8 mg bupe this time so its official they are back!
Re: Bobby (# 660)
Called Rhodes and they said they are available and to have my pharmacy order if they dont already have them. Called my pharmacy immediately after that call and they said they had them in stock. I go in later this afternoon and will confirm when I have them in hand.
Re: Hazey (# 658)
You called Rhodes and there definitely available all over now? Hopefully my pharmacy will tell me that they can order them again in 2 weeks when I have to call them a week beforehand to make sure they order me my meds so I will be very happy when I can get them again.
Re: Sinner85 (# 657)
CVS has Hikma now.
Called Rhodes and they are back in stock. Also called my normal pharm in OK and they have them available l!
