Rhodes/purdue Buprenorphine Hcl 8mg Rp B8 Vs Roxanne 54 411 (Page 26)

I have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name: *roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411 *hi tech- 8 ^(arrow) *mylan- M924 *teva (allergen/activas owned) crooked b 799 *actavis- moon 153 *sun pharma- 460 white round [And the brand new released generic made by Purdue and distributed by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals the new Rhodes generic] *RP b8- white round bevelled and pretending edges. I currently have had a smooth switch to the Roxanne/westward and declined mylan, actavis, teva, hi tech, sun pharma as most research and reviews conclude the Roxanne/westward generics the 54 411 seem to be best reviewed. I was unable to find the Purdue/Rhodes pharma newly released generic RB b8 imprinted generic. All I know is Rhodes and Purdue are professionals in the process of making quality meds and not just quality meds but pain relief medication, as they even were the company to CREATE oxycontin. I was able to come across one image of them on the web and they look very similar to the Roxanne 54 411s in size color and mostly shape except for the rhodes/Purdue ones protrude or kind of pop out on each side beyond the bevelled edges. They look really well made and on one side they have RP and otherside b 8 which the b and 8 are fairly far apart. I have been doing great from switching from brand films to the Roxanne westward 54 411s so far. I'm hoping to get some feedback by next month on these newly released rhodes/Purdue generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg. They are the newest and just released October 2017 and look very shinny and quality made. I'm hoping someone here who has tried both the Roxanne/westward and the new Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8 tablets. I am going to try and have my pharmacy special order the new Rhodes generics made by Purdue again imprinted RP b 8 white round shinny tablets fairly similar to the Roxanne but look better quality imo but do not have much experience with generic just brand and am very well versed on pharma companies and their medicine and their quality each one has. Has anyone tried these new rhodes/Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8? How would you compare them to the Roxanne 54 411 tablets... I hope for a response or it will be trail and error for me when ordering Rhodes next month if i stay on this route and will see how they compare to the Roxanne/westward but will not be til a month away. Please if you have any experience with these generics and especially the new rhodes/Purdue one let me know. Again I was able to locate only one image of them and they look great. They do not look small like hi tech more like a combined Roxanne and mylan with the shininess and how they pop out on each side..they look a little larger like the mylan and Roxanne not small like hi tech or teva or activas they are round tablet imprints RP b8 with b and 8 fairly far apart. Any feedback would be great and I would want to switch to rhodes/Purdue from roxanne (now westward being a factor) generics as they make quality are new just released and approved this year 2017 of October and no one how even mentioned them yet that I can find. With westward buying out Roxanne and them making changes a new generic made by Purdue may be just the one we have been waiting for and needing..again on the 54 411 ones now and looking for feedback on the new Purdue Rhodes ones and if the switch from Roxanne westward to rhodes/Purdue would be better maybe with better quality as they have always been a great and reputable company who makes outstanding drugs. Any feedback would be great.
Re: Lauren1509 (# 655)
Not sure where you're located but I went to a mom and pop pharmacy and got hikma which aren’t that bad.
Re: Lauren1509 (# 655)
Of all brands of buprenorphine? Or just Rhodes?
Re: Sinner85 (# 634)
I just dealt with that from Wal-Mart.they told me they were back ordered and dont know when they'll have more!
Re: Goozer (# 10)
What are the best brands of Alprazolam in your experience?
The patches are supposed to be great. Did you feel sick initially from buprenorphine? Suffer any side effects? My doctor said that initially a person will "not feel well" and wonder to what extent. I have been on high dosage Fentanyl for 17 years and my body is soo used to it! Need an alternative, pronto
PLEASE stop all the shorthand communication. I cannot understand what you are trying to say. What about buprenorphine are you referring to? I assume you are not talking about patches.
Re: Bobby (# 650)
Bobby my pharmacy supplier is Cardinal health. They think end of July. It was supposed to be end of June. Rhodes Pharma customer can give you a more definitive answer. You can Google it. I would call. I've emailed RP before and took two weeks for a reply. Also there customer service will probably ask for the NDC number for the 8mg generic Buprenorphine. It's on the bottle or Google "NDC number Rhodes Pharma 8mg Buprenorphine". I have seen it posted here too. I believe Goozer and/or Charlene have submitted it in their posts, too. Hang in there the Hikma would be best until Rhodes start shipping RP B8 Buprenorphine. McKesson is a big time distributor too. May want to check with their CS. I've always been treated politely with the CS of these manufacturers and distributors but they will want the NDC number since they have a lot of different medications.
Re: Davidjw1 (# 648)
Ok thanks. Yea let me know when they get back you please.
Re: Bobby (# 646)
Hi, I agree with you on the hikma brand now, I get mine at CVS Ever since the Rhodes has become unavailable..I get 90 a month and I get the original sealed bottles..the pills definitely look way different from before we all found out about the Rhodes..my pills are very shiny, nice, with no chips at all..they even feel stronger, I say that because even though I am allowed 3 a day sometimes I forget about the 3rd one. And skip it..save it for a rainy day...or what if I'm ready for my refill and for some reason it turns out to be a hunt..but I have to say that's never crossed my path so far...except for the hunt that Rhodes has put us through..I don't know what I will do if the Rhodes comes back to my small area..because right now at CVS they have been good to me..and they don't like people bouncing around from one pharmacy to another..my doctor asked me about once, I had to explain why..it's because I don't just settle for what's out there anymore, I'm paying good money and I want the best..
Re: Bobby (# 646)
I emailed my pharmacy for an approximate fate last night. I'll get back with you soon. Stay well.
Re: Davidjw1 (# 644)
Thanks for the Rhodes info. I'm looking forward to getting those again.
Re: Davidjw1 (# 644)
I have been able to get hold oh hikima the last two months. They seem to have gotten alot better since they were first released under the hikima name. I think they changed them initially and then back again because these pills I have now are not the same as those first hikimas. I know Purdue is partners with Rhodes but it seems to me rhodes has their own giant factory here in Rhode island where I live so they should be able to produce enough. I can only get the hikimas at a little mom and pop far away from me which is the same place the was ordering me the rhodes. CVS is way too unreliable with these meds. Either they pretend to not be able to get certain ones or they say they ordered them and didn't get them yet. Other times I've gone in after doing everything I can to make sure they had the brand I wanted put aside for me on a certain day and when I went in they would say "someone came last night ohh so sorry we can order more for blah blah blah". I just go so sick of it! I was friendly with the girl who did the ordering there then also and it didn't always mean a thing. This is the only medication I have to go through this with. I wish I could take Suboxone because it's so much easier to find. Back in 2006 when I first went on the Suboxone pills it was soooooo...! much less stressful as every Pharmacy had them. Even when I switched to Subutex in 2009 i was able to get the brand name most of the time and Teva if not. Roxanne was the last resort back then lol wow how good I had it. I never thought it would be like it is now. Greedy phamactical companies have created a problem now they have created another problem by pumping out inferior products not caring how it will affect the people who need it. You know they sure as hell made sure the old oxys were strong and as high quality as possible! I'm just in a pissy mood when I think about what they did and got away with in this sub market.
Re: Davidjw1 (# 644)
Thanks for all your info that you have been sharing with us. You seem very knowledgeable with your information just like goozer is...this is my favorite post to visit out of all the other medschat groups..is always full of information...not to mention because of this page I was blind to buprenorphine, what I meant by that is even though I have been on this medication since 2007 I used to just go to the same pharmacy, just once or twice did I switch. From this page I have learned that you don't have to just settle for a pill. You can search around and find the best two generics out there..and for that I'm pleased..I used to always go to Walgreens and they always have the same thing which I hated actavis..so kudos, for you're full of information. Thx.
Re: Charlene (# 643)
Hi Charlene. Yes I was happy to get my friend Hikma back and also hear that Hikma has assured everyone the back order issue should not happen again. They're now called Hikma, on the bottles too. I assume the agreement when Hikma purchased Westward that included the use of their name has run out or is not necessary legally anymore. Hikma is the parent company from Jordan originally and grew to multiple facilities in the World. Westward was there foot into the USA market to eventually purchase Roxane along the way. So here we are now. Rhodes I'm told ...still end of July before availability. Who knows what their deal is but we all know their parent company has lawsuits up the wazoo over Oxycontin lies. But Hikma is readily available but limited availability still at CVS as of 7/7/19. Bobby call around first. Hikma can be found. I got my 90 today. Thanks again Charlene. I feel sooo much better too. The films just tore me down. Naloxone I imagine. My body has been used to Hikma almost two years and didn't appreciate the switch. I had no choice. I was out and Sun and Akorn were only thing available and those are pure trash for me. The generic films were ok but in the morning I always felt sick. Hikma I wake and sleep great. Again much cheaper. Be well. If I hear about Rhodes news I ll let you know.
Re: davidjw1 (# 641)
Well welcome back david!!,..I have been going to CVS for hikma ever since I'm not able to find the Rhodes..I get 90 a month so I even get the sealed bottles..they are shiny with no chips ..they are just beautiful looking pills..I noticed before we all started searching for Rhodes the hikma brand my pills used to be chalky, no shine at all..seems like the buffed them out now because they are clean looking pills now...so I just wanted to say hi, I'm happy you're at peace now with all the hunting around for our medacine is ridiculous..
Re: davidjw1 (# 641)
Did you or anyone hear anything new about when Rhodes will be back? I have the hikima and they are fine but I do prefer the rhodes. I heard may initially then August and July also...
Re: davidjw1 (# 639)
Looks like it is just Hikma brand now. New bottles say Hikma no longer Westward-Hikma. I have decided to get the Hikma again. There was not enough difference to warrant the extra $140 and my Doctor feels eliminating the naloxone is also good. So I pick up my good friend Hikma tomorrow. Save the films for rainy days :) Got some good news that Hikma has confirmed there will be no more back orders of their Buprenorphine. Hikma came around in 1978 in Jordan in the Middle East and eventually grew to Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia then came to USA by purchasing Westward then Roxanne and now are called just, Hikma. I was always curious about that name and where it originated. Very happy to not have to stress anymore. I did some digging with CVS since Hikma is their first choice now, that as of 7/7/19 Hikma was on limited availability to them. So I don't trust them. I have a compounding pharmacy that can get me Hikma through their supplier Cardinal health anytime now. However Rhodes is a couple of weeks away still. Hang in there everyone. Call around, Hikma is available now.
Re: davidjw1 (# 639)
R&B who made the original Suboxone is being sued for changing to the strips for no good reason other than they were losing exclusivity on the market. Right before Suboxone went generic R&B funded their own study to say that Suboxone pills (Which they still happily sell in Europe and are trying to get approved in china) were all of a sudden a safety risk to children. This was just to get a new patient for the film version of Suboxone. Then they started bribing and pushing the film's on doctors hard. So that's why we can't get a brand name Suboxone pills or Subutex pill anymore. Greedy !!! also totally obvious what they were doing even people who know nothing about the industry. Unreal what they were allowed to get away with.
Re: Charlene (# 638)
Hi Charlene. I actually like these a bit better than the Westward or Rhodes. But we all fortunately are different. Many folks can't deal with Naloxone. But so far the generic films by Sandoz are in my opinion the same as name brand and most of us know Sandoz got Indiviors blessing two days after they lost to Dr Reddys in February. They are a bit more costly. But at $86 for 30 film after my drug discount card ($243 without for 30). Beats the $11 a film for name brand. The generics are exactly the same as name brand Indivior. Manufactured by the same company too. My opinion they only tweeked them enough to warrant approval as ageneric and different packaging. Took one 6 hours ago and I am still a happy camper so to speak. However if my pharmacy can regularly get the Rhodes or Westward again then I will possibly go back. If you check on here two years to the day, almost, the posts are of this same backorder BS in 2017. Started in May then full on back orders in June. So theres something amiss this was beee...fore the "Opiod Epidemic" was made so newsworthy so I don't buy it. I really hope they will get there hands and head out long enough to see the light. Theres billions to be made on a genuinely quality generic buprenorphine product. I believe most of us didn't use in a way that there is a need for us to need Naloxone. And cheaper too. They make so much money now. "Demand has increased", so they say.... c'mon who buys that BS. Never ran out of pain meds? Bring back the orange stop signs from back when they first came out and whoever does will be top dog in generic Buprenorphine sales. They worry about subs and bupes being abused. Good luck trying to control that. People will buy somewhere else. So cut the crap people and take care of those of us that just want to stay normal ...for us at least.
This medicine saved not just my life, but everything that matters to me. Wife, job, friends, family...So what if you get a little boost. Coffee does too. Better having us get that boost albeit brief too, than boosting your car for a few blues. Right? Helloooo!!!! We are good folks that got caught in their trap. I really wish I could function as well as I do now without this medicine. But I had been trying to do that for over 40 years off and on from Codeine 3 to Oxy 80s, with a lot of wreckage and baggage on that journey to hell and back!!! Manufacturers I know you read this. Wake up. You want to make a good name for yourselves...???? then make an American made quality product that is always available and you will never worry about money ever. You never ran out of Oxys?? Right? Come on we're not stupid. It will more than cover all the lawsuits. Make it affordable. Do it right. Appease the government, FDA and all those watchdogs. And you will have a clear conscience and one big fatass bank account!!! Win win all the way. I guarantee you!!! that if you create an equivalent or at least very close to the old Subutex Orange Stop Signs of before. You will be numero uno Like Indivior was/is. (1.8 Billion in Suboxone film sales in 2019) Picture surpassing that? Never ever heard a complaint about the old stop signs. NEVER EVER!!!!!!! Sorry Charlene this whole backorder thing reminds me of how apathetic these people are to genuinely good human beings that want to do the right thing for the most part. Hell exists and they had a foot on our ass and another on our neck. Now... they're doing it again. So wrong wrong wrong. Sure there are some that abuse it but that's part of the journey to what's really needed. Awareness in all that we do to stay in touch with our innate nature to be kind and compassionate. Take care.
Re: davidjw1 (# 637)
Bravo,.my friend, well said!,I get it,..every month close to my refill date my stomach rolls.,thinking what am I gonna get this time around ?? Obviously hoping for the hikma, or Rhodes..???, then start thinking oh gosh, what if it's neither and I have to put out some money for something else, and then we all know what's to follow,..a lousy month.. it get old after awhile,..I don't know why I say it like that?..it's never happened to me anyways..since I have been following goozers..group here and learning of the Rhodes generic..I however used to get Walgreens generic, orange half moon, and I hated those..I just never thought to hunt around for a medacine before.i mean once in a while I'd get a thought and wonder if possible anyone would have hikma around because I hated the orange ones so bad..see here by me the white once were hard to find..but I hunted for the Rhodes....forever.....finally got lucky... for maybe 5 or 6 months...then they are gone, hard to find..again....then I read here that even the hikma might be hard to get, idk, maybe I got lucky because I have been able to them with no trouble at all...but I'm still to upset enough to switch it up, I have always felt more energy from just the buprenorphine product without naloxone in it. So I'm here to stay, on the other hand I'm very happy for you...at least you can end the game of chasing for awhil.i do get real sick of the chasing game though, I chased my high for a very long time, and now I'm still chasing!..
