Rhodes/purdue Buprenorphine Hcl 8mg Rp B8 Vs Roxanne 54 411 (Page 22)
UpdatedI have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name:
*roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411
*hi tech- 8 ^(arrow)
*mylan- M924
*teva (allergen/activas owned) crooked b 799
*actavis- moon 153
*sun pharma- 460 white round
[And the brand new released generic made by Purdue and distributed by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals the new Rhodes generic]
*RP b8- white round bevelled and pretending edges.
I currently have had a smooth switch to the Roxanne/westward and declined mylan, actavis, teva, hi tech, sun pharma as most research and reviews conclude the Roxanne/westward generics the 54 411 seem to be best reviewed. I was unable to find the Purdue/Rhodes pharma newly released generic RB b8 imprinted generic. All I know is Rhodes and Purdue are professionals in the process of making quality meds and not just quality meds but pain relief medication, as they even were the company to CREATE oxycontin. I was able to come across one image of them on the web and they look very similar to the Roxanne 54 411s in size color and mostly shape except for the rhodes/Purdue ones protrude or kind of pop out on each side beyond the bevelled edges. They look really well made and on one side they have RP and otherside b 8 which the b and 8 are fairly far apart. I have been doing great from switching from brand films to the Roxanne westward 54 411s so far. I'm hoping to get some feedback by next month on these newly released rhodes/Purdue generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg. They are the newest and just released October 2017 and look very shinny and quality made. I'm hoping someone here who has tried both the Roxanne/westward and the new Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8 tablets. I am going to try and have my pharmacy special order the new Rhodes generics made by Purdue again imprinted RP b 8 white round shinny tablets fairly similar to the Roxanne but look better quality imo but do not have much experience with generic just brand and am very well versed on pharma companies and their medicine and their quality each one has.
Has anyone tried these new rhodes/Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8? How would you compare them to the Roxanne 54 411 tablets... I hope for a response or it will be trail and error for me when ordering Rhodes next month if i stay on this route and will see how they compare to the Roxanne/westward but will not be til a month away. Please if you have any experience with these generics and especially the new rhodes/Purdue one let me know. Again I was able to locate only one image of them and they look great. They do not look small like hi tech more like a combined Roxanne and mylan with the shininess and how they pop out on each side..they look a little larger like the mylan and Roxanne not small like hi tech or teva or activas they are round tablet imprints RP b8 with b and 8 fairly far apart. Any feedback would be great and I would want to switch to rhodes/Purdue from roxanne (now westward being a factor) generics as they make quality are new just released and approved this year 2017 of October and no one how even mentioned them yet that I can find. With westward buying out Roxanne and them making changes a new generic made by Purdue may be just the one we have been waiting for and needing..again on the 54 411 ones now and looking for feedback on the new Purdue Rhodes ones and if the switch from Roxanne westward to rhodes/Purdue would be better maybe with better quality as they have always been a great and reputable company who makes outstanding drugs. Any feedback would be great.
Re: goozer (# 420)
and make sure you have cash handy. these orivaye drs ans clinics woukd rather see money than an insurance card. you can try like a ihc urgent care clinic or just a IHC clinic tell them what the situation is and ask for the rx after getting the vibe. When researching best suboxone doctors or best pain Drs or best ortho doctors in my area look for ones that just have their names and are not connected to anything else or any other clinics but Google just shows their name and contact info contact them and see their availability and if they can help as well. u don't have much to lose on that but always have the cash handy they like that not insurance cards
Re: T (# 418)
Oh my goodness, they definitely should have weaned you off. Wow. Yea its withdrawals are worse than heroin withdrawal and I know. I'm sorry you had to go through that. And yes the combination of opiates and benzos can cause CNS depression. This is why drs will usually not rx it if you are on pain meds. This is hard for me because I need benzos as I have agoraphobia and had severe panic attacks. It's hard. Sometimes I wish I had rx oxycontin and morphine but I would miss and need either valium or xanax. I am very aware of how s***ty the withdrawal is. It is severely no fun and worse than opiate wd.
Re: Bobby (# 417)
it is the same for me brother lol it blows my mind when peeps like mylan and sometimes teva but everyone's different I guess lol
Re: T (# 418)
have one in review for you we should connect someway and yes the combo causes cns depression more on reviewed message coming and yes worse withdrawal than opiates by far and thank you I look forward to feedback
Re: goozer (# 423)
I’m not depressed at all. I’m on anti-depressants, and been on them for over 26 years. It’s been because I have bi-polar disorder. Not the one with the schizophrenic tendencies. I’ve been in remission for 13 years now.
T (# 424) --
Sorry for any confusion I was not saying you have to pression just that the combination of opiates and benzodiazepines can cause CNS depression and that's why doctors do not like to prescribe them together but legally they cannot tell you that you cannot have a benzo with your opiate there's a new law that just came out stating doctors cannot not prescribe benzodiazepines because the patient is on opiates but the combination itself can cause serious CNS depression I didn't say you were depressed sorry for any confusion

And yes some feedback on that new blue Alprazolam by Breckenridge would be wonderful feedback. And yeah I've tried almost every antidepressant there is there no go for me they cause suicidal and homicidal tendencies in people make people aggressive but they do also work for people some of my best friends have been on them their whole lives but I will never again take an SSRI or ssnri or tricylitic antidepressant these drugs are horrible for the body
Re: goozer (# 427)
I’m sorry about the way anti-depressants work for you. There are more than the Serotonins and the Tricyclics out there. I won’t go back on any Tricyclics ever again. Those caused me to get fat and made me moody. There’s also other types of medication they use for other things that aren’t anti-depressants, but are used for it. Here’s a example: I’m on Lamictal, it’s a seizure medication. It’s prescribed to me for my bi-polar disorder. This medication is what has kept me in remission for 13 years. Prior to that I was up and down, in and out of the hospital. Another one is Topamax it’s a seizure medication, but it’s prescribed to me to help me with my migraines and for the Ehlers Danlos Syndrome I have because of pain. My migraines haven’t been as bad since I’ve been on Topamax. I still get them.
As for your the blue Xanax bars your talking about, I think I’ve said this in a previous post, I have a friend who has severe anxiety attacks. They are on a very high dose of Xanax. If any one would know about those blue Xanax bars this person would. I’d be more than happy to ask them, on your behalf. Just let me know all the particulars about them and I’ll get right on it.
Re: goozer (# 426)
Yea I've been on both buprenorphine and benzos for 9 years now, first Xanax then Klonopin now. If your tolerance is low I can see not taking both but for me I've always had anxiety problems so without my Klonopin I'm a mess. I had a awful sub doctor for about a year back in 2013 who I only went to because he accepted my insurance. Previous to that I was very happy but they only took cash and I had lost my job. Anyways this guy was the biggest jerk ever! He supposedly had been a pill addict a long time ago and he thought he knew everything. He wanted to take me off my xanax and he would belittle you in front of other patients and the office by keeping his office door open. It was a nightmare! He eventually messed up my prior authorization request by continually sending my old insurance company the wrong sub dose. Instead of saying I was on 4 8mg tabs a day he said I took 2 a day because he kept bad notes. Everytime I went in he would ask how many do you take a day 2? I would say not I'm on 4 a day #60 a month with refill and he would say of ye ok. So yea he kept sending over the wrong dose. I kept calling to he insurance company who kept telling me to call the office. I called the doctor's office and the receptionist argued with me over what does I took!!! Finally she said I'm gonna have the doctor call you back and I was sick at this point from not having any subs for a day or two. He called me back and was so condescending and told me I'm bothering them and I'm not his only patient that they can't spend all day on me... Then when I told him why I was calling he must have realized he screwed up and instead of owning it he told me it was my fault because I had him write the script that way. I was furious!! That's the way you would always write out that dose because you can't get more than 100 buprenorphine pills at a time so they have to be split up 60 with 1 refill. Anyway I found a new doctor but my insurance used that as an excuse to lower my dose to 2 a day. I've since got it up to 2 and a half a day but this doctor messed up a lot. Just had to vent when I read you talking about benzos and doctors not wanting to prescribe them with opiates.
Re: Bobby (# 429)
Bobby that sounds exactly like my very first suboxone doctor to a t. he one time had me bring in my xanax to count and then was like well I'm going to hang onto this much for you then he was like no that wouldn't be legal and I was like yea I'm done with this Dr. his secretary was a non medically trained elderly woman who once would not give me my refills because the Doppler said I picked up my medications twice in a month. I had to sit down and go over their monthly reported doppler sheet to show her ibdidnt and if she would have just looked both runs on the Doppler were same date med time dosage and NDC number pretty much had to show her i onky got my meds once and the Doppler duplicated the first time it was just blah. are you serious but then again had I not got into see him I may not be here today. so everything happens as it should and for reason but wow I feel ya brother
Re: T (# 428)
I'm very familiar with topamax and lamictal lamictal is not so bad good for bi polar and seizures but the topamate or topamax I truly do not understand and anyone could handle that drug in their body. I am a huge no fan of topamax the wife and I had such a bad experience with side effects in it honestly like that of ssri anti depressants side effects thanks for feedback and glad it works for you but topamax is a huge no for me.

Re: goozer (# 432)
does anyone have experience with carisoprodol soma and what feedback on generics would they reccommend? I have been on the dan 5538 activas formerly watson soma for few years and qualitest prior to that. anyone think there are a better generic? any feedback on blue alprazolam 2mg breckenridge made?
Re: goozer (# 433)
I have. I was on it for years. Then all the sudden, I was taken off of it when, I was put on my psychotropic medications. Now I’m taking Robaxin. Soma was a great muscle relaxer for me. You have to watch yourself with it, because people have accidentally o’ed on it. I never did. I’ve always taken less than what I’m prescribed, not unless it’s absolutely necessary, I need it. I’m going to see if my pain doctor will put me back on Zanaflex. I was on that muscle relaxer before I went to California last December. It seemed to work the best for me, out of all the ones I’ve been on. Flexural didn’t really work for me. Neither did Skelaxin. Those are the only ones I’ve been on, I can think of right now. If you are worried about taking Soma, just try it first, if your not happy with it, then ask your doctor to put you on something different. Usually doctors will put patients on Flexural. Why I don’t know. I never benefited from it at all. Some people do. Good luck and I hope you have a good out come with Soma, like I did.
Re: goozer (# 431)
I don’t have any problem with Topamax generic brand name Topiramate. I’m only on 75mgs. Are you sure your not thinking of Neurotin generic brand name Gabapentin? That’s a seizure medication as well and that’s the one I had trouble severely. They tried to give that one to me in California. I said, Nope, I ain’t messing around with that wicked medication again. It made me feel very depressed and I felt like I wasn’t totally conscious. It was a weird feeling. I’ve never felt that way on Topamax. But as I’ve said before, medication has different effects to everybody’s body.
I’m happy with Lamictal. This is the medication that’s kept me in remission, for so long. I was on Trileptal in the beginning, but I started to get to depressed on that one too. So I got taken off of it. I was used a guinea pig at this Clinic I use to go to. The psychiatrist I had, made me mad by treating me with all these different medications. None of them worked and I kept asking him to put back on the medications I was on, before I started seeing him, since they worked for so long. The reason why I had the problem in the begin with them is, I stopped taking them to save me and my husband money. It was a big mistake. Anyway this doctor had gotten me so mad about these different medications, I had to fire him. So I did. I don’t know if any other patients have ever fired a doctor, but I did to this doctor. I’m happy with the medications I’m on now and they vey minimal now. The less the better.
Re: goozer (# 432)
If your looking for a muscle relaxer that also will get ride of withdrawal symptoms baclofen is great. My wife was put on it a about 6 months ago for migraines but didn't take it alot so I looked into it when I had run low on my subs. I heard people comparing it to clonodin ( which worked well for me years ago). Anyways I was pretty sick and nothing was touching it so I took 10mg and I felt much better after a bit. All in all it's great in you ever run out or low on subs. I don't know exactly why it helps so much but it will take the edge off enough to where you can actually function and sleep at night. Just thought I would put it out there.

I have been on the Roxane/Westward 54 411 Bup’s for 4 years from the same pharmacy. 5 days ago they refilled it with the new Rhodes ones. I have not had the same experience as you. I am not in withdrawal, but definitely feel worse and have a lack of energy. I haven’t asked my pharmacy why they switched yet, but I will. So are the westward ones still being made? If you know who carries them, that would be great. Everywhere I call seems to have the small hi tech ones. I saw you are from SLC and I’m on the border of SL and Utah county. Thanks for your help
Re: TenRing (# 437)
A local yay! Rhodes is just like brand name subutex my friend but everyone's different. Himka makes the 54 411 ones now and they are not good quality imo. I have on deck Roxanne westward and himkas and Rhodes and Rhodes kills them all out the water except for the og old Roxannes which cannot be found, I just have some left. Himka makes them now and Rhodes is identical to brand but everyone is different. I know where to go if you need help finding himka 54 411. They are everywhere. A lot of pharmacies are trying to rid them and keep to Rhodes. Happy to help, just lmk.
Re: TenRing (# 437)
I have Roxanne westward and himkas and Rhodes. Rhodes is identical to brand name subutex. Strange it did that. Everyone is different. But I have all 3 kinds of 54 411 and rhodes and only the og Roxanne comes close to Rhodes. I can tell you exactly where the imo crappy himkas are. They are everywhere in u county and slc. Keep me posted.
