Also four antibiotics I.v. I left hospital on Sunday night went to regular appt at pain management Monday morning and failed it for suboxone which I had to google because I didn't even know what it was and when finding out knew for sure I had not taken something that would make my pain meds not work. After being kicked to the curb I poured over hospital papers and wondered if prednisone could cause a false positive. I lost my pain management over this and considering I got out a day early just to go to this appt ## I m wondering why this would happen considering the only ingredient in prednisone is prednisone. ive never heard of it being prescr...
My doctor just started me on a round of steroids. She said not to take my naproxin with it. Forgot to ask if I can take my flexerol with it. Can I do that ? ## Hello, Carol! How are you? Yes, that should be fine, as long as your doctor approves. The reason she told you to skip the Naproxen is because it and Prednisone both increased the toxicity of each other, which could result in overdose issues. The FDA lists the typical side effects for Prednisone as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, acne, fluid retention and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm trying to get into a endocrinologist but it takes time I would like to know how to taper down without all the pain. How long to take 20x2 before I start to taper ## Hello, Marie! How are you? It is normal to have some withdrawal effects when you stop such a medication, even with a taper. As reported by the FDA, it may include rebound pain, insomnia, diarrhea and weight changes. You shouldn't continue taking it for a longer taper, unless your doctor instructs you to do so. What steroi...

Can taking pulmison and celestemine during early pregnancy affect the baby? ## Hello, LisaE! How are you? Congratulations on the baby! :-) No, these should not be taken during pregnancy, due to the corticosteroids that are in them, Prednisone and Betamethasone, both have been classified by the FDA as being in pregnancy category C, because they've been unable to rule out there being any risk. The FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, acne, irritability and insomnia. Actually, I think after over 1,000 years, it has likely lost most of its usefulness. LOL! My bottle just says take two by mouth every day does this mean I take them both together at once or twice a day? ## Hi Ashley, Usually when dosing instructions note that you should take two pills daily, it is either referring to 1 pill every twelve hours or both pills in one sitting. I'm surprised that it doesn't actually clarify this on the packaging label though. In either case, from what I've researched, most of the dosing guidelines for Prednisone are "1 pill orally every 12 hours", depending on what condition you're using it for. I would however recommend confirming this with your doctor, since every case is different. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Prednisone Details I hope this info helps! ## I was given Prednisone 20mg take 3 tables by...

I'm sorry that you've been ill. Prednisone is a steroid class medication that is used to treat inflammation, allergic reactions and immune disorders. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, acne and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with?
