Actually, I think after over 1,000 years, it has likely lost most of its usefulness. LOL! Sorry, I couldn't resist the joke, typos are so much fun. :-)
Either way though, medications do lose efficacy with age, so it would actually be best to dispose of it and see your doctor for a new prescription, if one is needed.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness and insomnia.
