I purchase Topzole p40 . Is there a generic which I can purchase over the counter, " pharmacy " everytime I need to get a prescription ? ## TopZole contains the active ingredient Pantoprazole, which is a "prescription-only" medication here in the US; used to treat erosive esophagitis and other conditions involving excess stomach acid. A family member of mine takes Prilosec (Omeprazole) - which is regarded as an over the counter alternative for these same types of conditions. I'd imagine though, that it may or may not be quite as efficient compared to its prescription counterpart, but certainly worth a try if you need something for excess stomach acid. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Omeprazole Details I hope this helps!

can pantoprazole cause dizznessand effect the heart rate so it runs low.? Is there any mediciations that will conflict with thiis medicine? ## Generally dizziness is something you can just assume as a side effect of most medications, there are few exceptions that aren't known to cause it. And as to the low heart rate, if you're taking this and experiencing that, then you need to contact your doctor immediately. It may mean that your magnesium has dropped to a dangerously low level, which can sometimes occur due to these PPI medications. Learn more Pantoprazole details here. As to medication interactions, I couldn't possibly list them all. However, if you post back with the specific ones that you take regularly, I'll gladly check for you. Sir, i would like to know the US FDA approval date for pantoprazole with levosulpiride combination tablets(pantocid-L). kindly reply me. ## When it comes to any medication or product, the U.S. FDA doesn't give out approval dates ahead of time, because they have no way of knowing if they will approve something. Doing so requires that it pass a lot of safety testing. Additionally, Levosulpiride has never been approved by the FDA or Health Canada, so it is doubtful that it will become available in the U.S. or Canada anytime soon. I've been prescribed pantoprazole 40mg for recurring gastritis and while I find they are wonderful at removing the gas, hunger pangs and nausea I am still experiencing the upper abdominal gnawing pain in my stomach (albeit to a lesser degree than before, but it is still present everyday). I have no weight nor blood loss and am otherwise healthy. Do I need medication changed or could something else be going on? Thank you ## Well, I myself have a lot of experience in this area, I suffered from it for years and was misdiagnosed quite a few times, until the fact that it was gastritis was actually stumbled upon by an intelligent ER doctor. Anyway, the PPI medications can actually cause that type of pain as a side effect, so that actually may be what's causing it. The same thing happe...

Hello, I was prescribed pantoprazole 40 mg to help with my stomach pain. The medicine did make the pain leave. However, after the 8 week course my doctor reduced the dose to 20 mg and told me only to take it when necessary. I was taking 20 mg for only two days before my symptoms returned and I was forced to return to 40mg. I have an appointment scheduled with my doctor soon but I am scared that I might have stomach cancer( 39 year old female). What should I expect at mh appointment. Is a relapse normal so soon after reduction in dose? Thank you. ## Well, I'd say that it isn't time to panic, calm down and relax. There are many other conditions that can cause stomach pain, that aren't stomach cancer. I have experience in this area, several years ago, I started suffering severe...

I recieved a prescription for Pantoprazole Sodium DR 40mg. But my pill looks completely different from what I've had in the past and is different from the descriptions I can find on what it should look like. I have a white, oval tablet with "97" imprinted on one side. The imprints vary between red or black in the same bottle. What do I have in my hands? Any help is appreciated. ## How did you look for it, did you just do a search for what Pantroprazole should look like, or did you search for that imprint? The imprint is what enables a pill to be identified. If you just search for examples of what it should look like, you'll not likely have much luck, since this is a generic medication and most sites don't list all possible options. It is the correct medication, this ...

I quoted the paragraph below thinking it may be of help: "Kidney function: The kidneys are responsible for removing pantoprazole magnesium from the body. If you have reduced kidney function or kidney disease, discuss with your doctor how this medication may affect your medical condition, how your medical condition may affect the dosing and effectiveness of this medication, and whether any special monitoring is needed." I TAKE TECTA DAILY, HOWEVER I DO SMOKE AND DRINK BEER, WHAT KIND OF A DIET SHOULD I FOLLOW. AM CURRENTLY TRYING TO QUIT SMOKING.bnre ## Hi Claude, Tecta (Pantoprazole) is a drug used for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), which works by decreasing the amount of acid made in the stomach. If I were to suggest anything that may be of help in curing this condition (GERD), it would be to to clean out and detox your system. Acidity can be caused by a number of issues, but is more commonly related to your diet, stress levels, and smoking. I would focus your attention on eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, staying hydrated (consistently pee clear), exercising at least an hour a day to get your lymphatic system flowing, along with getting plenty of rest each night.
