Pain-o-soma Blister Pack No Imprint On Pill? (Page 6)
UpdatedRound white pill no imprint? HAB pharmaceutical licence #48/ua 2006
Kat,
Ive had 6 spinal fusions and 3 in my neck. At 42yrs old, I have Osteoporosis, which is horrible at my age and Im a very active and outdoorsy guy. Anyway, I had been taking a soma/aspirin, codine compound that worked great. Tat med had been discontinued. So, Im having to get 2 separate Rx to make the 1 compound that I was getting.
Never mind, long story short, Ive been trying to find 350mg Carisoprodol. Ive heard that they are bogus and Ive heard that they are perfectly fine. If you are an experienced Rx user, worth the money or are they garbage?
Hey guys, I see a lot of posts on this blog about Pain O soma from Hab pharmaceuticals in india. I am a verified patient of this version of soma and can tell you from a medical benefit it is way better than the 350 mg Watson somas you get in the US. I have been suffering from chronic back pain for the past 2 -3 years, and have tried every muscle relaxer on the market you name it. The 350 mg Watson brand somas you get in the US were ok and for me lost its medical benefit after 3 days of use. These pills from Hab work for me because I use them for medical benefit only. A lot of you are asking what are in these pills because they are unmarked. They are filled with a compound of 200 mg carisoprodol and 325 mg regular old aspirin for anti-inflammatory properties. I hope that info helps answer a lot of your questions...
I take Soma too and got the weird blister pack from some place in ROUND ROCK, TX! Or at least that's what the return label said. I've never heard of this place! I got the same blister pack that said Pain-O-Soma and the pills are large & white with line on one side. I've bee prescribed Soma before and these are definitely different! (Like many doctors, mine won't prescribe them any longer even though I've bulging discs in 5 places). The real Soma has a distinct smell and works very quickly. This does not! Anybody know what this really is? And has anyone gotten their prescription from Round Rock, Texas?? I keep seeing that they're from India..
Re: Pamela (# 17)
There is still a way to get a prescription for them if you haven’t yet
Re: Pat (# 5)
Pain o soma is a 500 mg generic form of carisoprodol. It is the same exact stuff we get here in the united states manufactured by Watson. The FDA and the CDSCO or Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (india's FDA) actually work together and echo the same standards in drug manufacturing regulations. So if you see USP on a blister pack that stands for united states pharmacopeia (Your drug has been approved by the FDA). The thing you have to keep in mind though is the pain o somas contain aspirin. The aspirin is coated over the carisoprodol so you may not feel the effects of the soma until a few minutes when its dissolved in your system. The exact ingredients for pain o soma are 200 mg aspirin and 300 mg carisoprodol, so keep that in mind. Its not like you're getting pure 350 mg soma like you would if you got 350 mg soma from the dr. here in the states. The 350 mg pro somas i'm not sure of their formula but i'm sure its probably the same ratio standards. In my experiences I actually prefer the soma coated with the aspirin because the aspirin has anti-inflammatory properties that help. I would definitely not take soma and operate heavy machinery because you do lose motor functions. Its like being drunk without being drunk, its a weird feeling to say the least. Rest assure though, the Hab Pharma soma is really good stuff. They are a legit company from india, and you can see their manufacturing center on youtube vids. Don't be fooled by these immature responses about soma and how s***y they are, etc... I've been taking this brand of soma for a long time, probably a year and a half now, and not once have i been disappointed. When I first took it though I was super worried that i got sugar pills because I didn't know at the time they were coated with aspirin. I took 3 of them and lost all ability to stand, they were that strong in the beginning. All in all, you don't have to fear, if your blister pack label says Hab pharma on it. It is good stuff.
I haven't taken Pain-O-Soma (350mg) in years but recently filled a prescription for 70 which came in a pop pack from here in the US, not from out of the country. Yes, there are no markings on them so I had it's contents analyzed and it's fine. They work better than what I get at Walgreens. I know how it is when you fill a prescription for something and you want it to be what it is supposed to be and it doesn't turn out that way with different manufacturers, brands and generics. No BS five star rating all the way. If I could do 10 star rating I would cuz I'm like completely surprised, so just passing on the word.
I get the watson 350mg somas...but my inquiry is which is the best generic..ive only has watson and qualitest and not even sire which is the best but always get watson..any feedback for USA generics only?
Re: Keith P (# 8)
I'm with you man. I have disc problems that are pressing on my nerves. Thankfully my doctor agreed with my 1st time asking for merely tramadol. It's crazy that tramadol is now looked upon in the same group as oxy 80's, etc.! I, too, was fortunate to discover Hab Pharmaceuticals. I have 300 ol-tram that work perhaps more effectively than the U.S. brand. I have been reading how Soma has been a life saver to many with severe back issues. And so, tomorrow I'll pay $144 for a total of 300 Soma tablets (350 mg).
To Jordan - I have been on 350mg soma, not the soma compound but regular somas for 19yrs and I was dispensed pain o soma in a blister pack of 70 and they were just as effective as the domestic brand from Walgreens or if not better. Regular somas only have 350mg or 500mg of soma in them. The soma compound you take has 200mg of soma + 325mg of aspirin. And some soma compounds also have 16mg of codeine in them. So regular somas are much stronger and would help a lot more than a soma compound! I hope this helps u some. If u need more help just let me know.
I filled my prescription pain-o-soma. 500 x 350 mg tablets for $58 including shipping. And yes, they are good.
Pain-o-soma manufacturd by HAB Pharmaceuticles in India is GREAT. Just take it on an empty stomach and then eat something high in fat about 20 minutes later. Get your metabolism going by going on a short jog/jumping jacks, etc) and I guarantee any bad reviews will be squelched. Cheers!
Re: Keith P (# 8)
Yeah l ordered some somas & got the pain o somas
o they seemed ok but wore off faster then I remembered when my Dr used to prescribe them now they are getting stupid and won’t anymore because they are scared. They don’t care about you (the patient)
Re: Franklind (# 112)
I would say anything HAB and especially their Soma, IF it is even real Soma works best if you take two, which defeats the idea that these work good, and leads one to wonder what is really in it? India makes many legal and safe medicines, I could never stand behind these. A few posts down you see someone scored 500 for $89, proof again these are not legit
Re: Echo (# 2)
The only thing my doctor will prescribe is Baclofen. It might as well be sugar or aspirin for all the good it does. I have never taken more than six at one time, but I can confirm that even taking two extra pills of the prescribed four pills to be taken across the day, I get nothing from it. I used to take SOMA. It helped my neck pain when it was coupled with OxyContin. And when they attacked OxyContin, they also went after SOMA. I have taken Carisoprodol - it is nowhere near as good as SOMA, but it does help some. I never tried more than two at a time, but it might be an interesting experiment. Perhaps adding one pill at a time over the course of a week - it could be worth exploring.
Re: Michelle (# 114)
Michelle, it is not suggested to take 2 or 3 at one time as they are hard on the liver. Carisoprodol is the active ingredient in Soma?
Re: EDDY (# 115)
Been getting my choice of Pain-o-Soma, or Prosoma 500mg tablets at .07 cents a piece from a couple of different pharmacies in India for 3 years now. I personally prefer the Pain-o-Soma. They ARE as good as any Carisoprodol tablet in the US... Guaranteed!!!! Usually only takes one to one and a half to ease my discomforts. Be very careful if you haven't taken any in a while. Anything over two will likely have u shaking, n "Soma Shuffling"... the usual side effects of overdosing on Carisoprodol... Be safe friends!!!!
Arent all somas non coated i always get white powder all over my rx bottle? I hear what ur saying tho. Got some coming looking forward to trying for my dystonia.
Re: EDDY (# 115)
Sorry to have taken so long to respond. All of these drugs purport to be Soma. I looked into having the chemical structures of the meds I get from India defined, but it is very expensive. I have not found them to be helpful and have stopped buying it.

"Anything over two will likely have u shaking, n "Soma Shuffling"... the usual side effects of overdosing on Carisoprodol"
Those two Indian brands you mentioned are the worst Soma on the market. That shaking you're feeling is the arsenic coursing through your veins
Re: Keith P (# 8)
