My pain management doctor has gone MIA (Dr. William Knight, Metairie, Louisiana). He has gone- there's no trouble reported to Louisiana Medical Board. Just gone. The 3 months worth of prescriptions he wrote me for Norco & MS Contin are almost gone too. I can't find a new pain dr. here (on the Mississippi Coast or New Orleans) who will take my Obamacare OR even take cash-pay patients. Additionally, I take a (low) dose of Xanax prescribed by the psychiatrist I began seeing with the onset of my chronic pain (bicycle crash). I am trying to find a doctor in san francisco, ca that isnt going to be a huge hassle in prescribing oxycontin....anyone know a good doctor? I have full insurance ## I am not familiar with doctors in California, but if you have a legitimate reason to have it, you may just want to look into pain management clinics. They are generally more open to prescribing such medications, than regular doctors. Most doctors have to worry, because they government closely supervises their prescribing practices and they are held responsible if found to prescribe certain drugs for invalid reasons. I have sever neck and shoulder pain and have a pill that is from 2013 and not sure it is for pain. I'm a long time chronic pain patient and I need to find a pain management dr. in or around Moss Point, Ms. The problem I'm having is that I just got discharged from my previous pain management clinic because I failed a pill count. I get sick on the hydromorphone made by Mallinckrodt. Can anyone recommend a different and better manufacturer? ## Any except Arobindo brands. I have received Mallinckrodt Adderall that were so weak I had to double the dose to get it to work. And I usually take half the recommended dose of other brands. Aurobindo is the only manufacturer that I have found that’s worse than Mallinckrodt. Something in those meds makes me physically ill. ## All generic meds have fillers. That’s probably the reason you get “sick”. Taking it for 3 yrs, back pain getting worse on 2 per day. The state is clamping down on opioids. What could my doctor prescribe for me at this point? ## Even with the clamp downs going on, your doctor can still prescribe necessary medications, they just have to be careful how much they prescribe and make sure there is a legitimate reason for the patient to need them. If the person has a possibly fatal illness, such as stage 4 cancer, such restrictions set forth by the DEA, exclude them. Too many doctors were prescribing pain medications, without verifying that a patient had a real reason to need them. The tablet you've mentioned is the 5/325mg dosage, so if your doctor things it may help, there is a 7.5/325mg dose and a 10/325mg that they could prescribe for you. The FDA classifies...

Hello~I'm on oxy 80's and dilaudid 4mgs which are prescribed for back pain. The oxys alone don't help at all. I get dilaudids tomorrow, but will be out of oxys. Would like to know what this pill is. It's a blue oblong pill with t123 on it. Not sure if it's Tylenol PM or something like that before I discard it. ## Is the marking possibly T 129? If so, it is manufactured by TimeCap Laboratories, and they list it as containing 15mgs of Diphenhydramine, which is used to treat allergic reactions, anxiety, and insomnia. Hello. I'm needing to take tramadol & co-codamol, but have bad constipation. Any thoughts on sticking to tramadol only maybe? Best wishes. ## You can discuss that option with your doctor, it really depends on what works best for you to alleviate your pain. However, in many cases, opioid related constipation can be alleviated by just increasing ones fiber intake through foods, or a fiber supplement. Along with the risk of being habit forming, these medications may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? ## You can get an over the counter stool softener or ask your doctor to prescribe one and make sure you are drinking lots of water. That should alleviate your constipation.

It has poison listed on the label of my bottle of liquid morphine sulfate for intravenous use. It is an outdated bottle, but is it safe to use? ## First never use expired drugs! Secondly liquid morphine is deadly if taken or used improperly so why wouldn't it be considered a poison. ## Jeff is correct. Most medications are considered poisons, if used improperly, in excessive amounts, of by those who shouldn't be taking them. What precise markings are on the label are you talking about, though? Most pharmacies don't use one that just says poison. I am a diabetic person, i would like to ask if ALAXAN is good for severe pain ## Has your doctor recommended that you take it? Alaxan contains 325mgs of Paracetamol and 200mgs of Ibuprofen, so it can help with pain, but if it's severe, its really not going to do a whole lot to help. Hey guys. Found this in my house inside a bag of marijuana. Any ideas? It's a round yellow pill (regular/light yellow). It has a capital i on one side and 55 on the other. I can't find anything on any sites. It's not particularly small, about the same size as a round generic ibuprofen. It's not scored; just has the above imprints. I am currently on 4 30mg oxycodone ir a day and 2 2mg dillaudid a day. I've had 2 major surgeries and I'm I'm only 24 and day in day out in extreme constant pain. My question is would switching to OxyContin the new formula be as effective? Does it have the same euphoria or is it less effective than what I'm on? If anybody can help me out with that I would appreciate it. ## One thing I can say right off the bat is that Oxycontin is an extended release formula of Oxycodone. Some people say that it's not quite as potent as its immediate-release counterpart, but offers much longer relief in return. Well unfortunately I really messed up and started taking OC twice a day 12 hours a part. I worked my way up to taking 40-60 mg in the morning and 80 mgs at night. i originally started using after severe depression and anxiety and wanting to feel better to fill an emotional void left by a really bad year in my life which led me to start using. No BS here, I wanted to feel better and unfortunately started using and am on week 14 of my addiction.
