I have been taking hydrocodone and oxycodone for chronic severe pain for several years and I feel completely satisfied when I can take the proper dosage established for my pain. I do not feel a need to raise the dose of this medication, once the right dose was given to me, that seemed high enough to "fix" my pain, that dose seemed to work, as long as I took it as prescribed, I was so thankful to be able to move again and not feel the serious pain getting in my way, it worked like a charm, and I really never felt any need to increase the amount or frequency of this medication even though I have taken it pretty much the same for almost 17 years, for extremely aggressive Osteoarthritis, with a lot of bone and joint damage, with fibromyalgia. I have had to have several joint replace...
I have taken different varieties and markings of tramadol and notice some work better than others and some make me sick. Does tramadol come in different makeups. ## Hello, Sadie! How are you? I'm sorry about the experiences you've had. They all contain the same active ingredient, but the inactive may be different from one manufacturer to another. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, there can be slight variations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic to another, so some may have a little more than usual, which could explain why they made you ill. Is there anything else I can help with?
Small pink pill..10 mg..I am allergic to red dye so is it in it? ## Hi Annie, I'm assuming that you're referring to the round pink pill with "K | 56" on one side and blank on the other (made by KVK Tech), is that correct? If so, this 10mg oxycodone tablet is reported to contain "D/C Red No. 27" dye, among the following other inert ingredients: Lactose Monohydrate Corn Starch Microcrystalline Cellulose Silicon Dioxide Sodium Starch Glycolate Type A Potato Stearic Acid I hope this helps!
i do not get relief from this pain medicine, what is the deal ## Hi baby, Unfortunately when it comes to choosing an appropriate pain medication, there's a lot of room for trial and error. If your body is accustomed to another manufacturer's versions of this, then its ineffectiveness may be attributed to the different binders/fillers that are being used in this particular tablet versus others. That's my theory anyways, given that nothing else is changed on the label when you switch between different manufacturer's brands/generics. The only thing I'd encourage patients to do in light of this, is to kindly ask the doctor to be more descriptive on the prescription he/she writes, in order to pick out a specific manufacturer that you feel works best from past personal exp...
I take oxymorphones (opanas) and assumed it would show as morphine. But my dr pulled me to the side today at the pain clinic and grilled me for popping for morphine on my drug test. It was scary! So the answer is you will get busted because opanas dont synthesize into morphine and the test will definitely show the difference. I will not make that mistake again.

My pharmacy just refilled my oxycodone 30mg Rx with kvk tech instead of Caraco mfg. They look the same and have the same 224 imprint. Does anyone know if this is the same company and same medicine or if it is indeed mfgd by two different ones. If so, what are your thoughts? Caraco has always worked well for me, do you think I should return them? I didn't realize they did this until I drove the hour home from my dr and the pharm where I fill this Rx. ## I have been using BECAUSE you can't get a different co. around here. I have called over a big area. Does your meds have hydrochloride in it? They have changed your meds. This is so you don't feel high so they say. for me don't work for me has a lot of Tylenol in it. So see if it has ingredient in it. ## Hello, Rocky! How a...
I am looking for doctor able to prescribe my oxycodone in col ohio. I am a recent amputee with a dead hip bone and just had major surgery on my left leg wich has left some bone exposed. However, as I'm getting ready to be discharged my surgeon says find someone to prescribe pain mess and says a pcp can do this for now. I'm terrified please help. ## Hello, Leas! How are you? A PCP can technically prescribe such pain medications, but due to the new directives set forth by the DEA last year, most of them will not, especially for new patients. In most cases, even for existing patients, they will only prescribe for a short period of time. Do you have a PCP that you've been seeing regularly? If so, they might be willing to help, for a short period of time, while referring you to p...
Has lp on top 145 below it.told it was vicodin???the other side smoth.the pill is white n round. ## Hi tru, Most Vicodin/Norco pills I've come across are usually white oblong tablets, but this white round pill marked with IP 145 reportedly contains 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone bitartrate + 200mgs of Ibuprofen. It's NOT Vicodin/Norco, however I think the Ibuprofen may make for a good alternative for those who can't tolerate Acetaminophen, due to potential liver problems. The manufacturer is listed as Amneal Pharma. I hope this helps!
I've been trying to find out if it is still hard to get pain meds filled in fort Myers FL. My husband and I are going to be retiring there this year and I've been on oxycotin and oxycodone for 15 years so this concerns me greatly. Could someone please tell me if this is true and is it also hard to find a doctor to take over my meds ## Hello, Elizabeth! How are you? That answer to both of your questions is yes. There have been many posts about people in Florida having problems getting such medications. Even if they have a doctor that prescribes them, getting them filled can also be very difficult. The FDA classifies Oxycodone as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and consti...
I want to know the difference between and 40mg and a 60mg of op oxyicotin? ## Hello, Dana! How are you? The dosage is different, as listed by the FDA, one contains 40mgs of Oxycodone and the other contains 60mgs of Oxycodone. However, both are in a time released formulation. But one is 20mgs stronger than the other. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Yes is exalgo 32mg stronger than oxyicotin 40mg and what's the medicine it contains what's it made of? And how long has it been on the market?

I have been using OxyContin for over ten years- always chewed it. My back is f----d up from bad surgery (Doc lost his liscence, I lost my life. I'm always in pain, I ran out of my usual pain meds i take, and my pharmacy wont fill it 3 days early, so someone suggested to try this so I wont be in pain, and now I'm frightened....I think I will throw the rest away, any suggestions on what to do to flush this out my system???
Updated in Fentanyli have fever i am allergic to paracetamol what can i take i am 49 year old ## Hello, Margarita! How are you? I'm sorry that you're not feeling well. If your doctor approves and says they are safe for you to take, you should be able to take a NSAID, such as Ibuprofen/Advil. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, headache, dizziness and stomach irritation. Are you on any medications?
Can't this be use for swollen gland under my jaw due to sinus drainage? ## it will help with the pain but not so much for swelling. try alleve or motrin for swelling.and an ice pack ## @Tissue, RE (post #1): Acetaminophen is an anti-inflammatory drug, so I don't see how it wouldn't help with the swelling. If it didn't, that would certainly contradict its drug classification, no? Hydrocodone on the other hand will probably only help with the pain aspect. However if you're (original poster) on the lookout for other anti-inflammatory agents to help ease a swollen lymph node, I would encourage things like herbal tea, ginger, raw coconut oil, and raw honey, along with Turmeric. Certain Essential oils may also prove to be beneficial depending on which one's you work wi...
d on left side f on right side and 8 underneath D F 8 ## I just received the same thing from a online pharmacy in the Philippines. Hello. I've been taking 100mg daily of Tramodol as directed by my physician for the past 2 years. I was traveling abroad recently and suffered from horrible migraines that lasted multiple days. A local pharmacist gave me a medication that helped, but it has 8mg codeine in it. If I have been taking both tramodol and codeine, how will it show up on a drug test? It's either a 10, 12 or 14 panel test, so it could be pretty thorough. Thanks in advance for any help.
Updated in CodeineHi. I started taking Oxy for my back pain about a year ago. I noticed an added benefit was a general energy lift and of course kept taking them even after my back was healed. Not daily at first, of course. However, a year later I was up to about 50mg per day give or take a few mg either way. Today is day 2 of no oxy's from a 4 day taper. Feeling ok. I've been taking immodium and kratom off and on throughout the 2 days and even though I'm not 100%, I know it could be much worse. A little sneezing, rls and just a general achy feeling. I do have some Xanax that is helping me sleep at night so thank God for that. I don't know how I would do this without sleep. For anyone going through this, please hang in there. I've noticed that when I get the craving really bad, I can ...
