Oxy Loses Is Glitz Eventually

Hi. I started taking Oxy for my back pain about a year ago. I noticed an added benefit was a general energy lift and of course kept taking them even after my back was healed. Not daily at first, of course. However, a year later I was up to about 50mg per day give or take a few mg either way. Today is day 2 of no oxy's from a 4 day taper. Feeling ok. I've been taking immodium and kratom off and on throughout the 2 days and even though I'm not 100%, I know it could be much worse. A little sneezing, rls and just a general achy feeling. I do have some Xanax that is helping me sleep at night so thank God for that. I don't know how I would do this without sleep. For anyone going through this, please hang in there. I've noticed that when I get the craving really bad, I can talk myself out of it with just some positive reinforcements. For me personally, yes it's some physical but much much more mental addiction. I am doing this alone as my husband has no clue of my little secret nor anyone else. I am counting myself lucky as there were many times that I wanted to take more and more, but I kept to a low dose being scared of severe addiction. Not trying to minimize the amount I took, it's an addiction plain and simple. I just felt the need to communicate with others that it's one day at a time. Sometimes it's just one hour or minute at a time. I encourage each of you trying to kick this monkey off of your backs. Hopefully if I'm not feeling too bad tomorrow, I can post an update. Thank you for listening!

Thank you for taking the time to let people know what you're going through. Don't minimize your habit, even though it's pretty low. It's still high enough to where you are feeling it, or so it sounds. Keep up the good work! Went through this myself several months ago and it was so worth it. I feel better than I ever have in my life. It's funny that you mentioned the energy part because that is what I related to when I saw your post. I think it was the same allure for me. I could get so many things done and focus so well. Anyway, hope you keep us updated.
