I take 4 10 milligram percocet a day and 3 15 milligrams of oxy cotton a day how can I show up positive for cocaine in my urine test and positive for methadone ## I am 100 percent positive I do not do cocaine. I need my medication. can't go a month without them. the er doctor wrote for phenegran and 20 5mg lortabs. I call his office 3x' s and the on call dr. never call bk so im being punished for it. what do I do? I don't dr shop. I must of posted my problem somewhere else on this site, sorry but I can not think straight. For 6 years I have taken oxy's for RSD. Something I never heard of in my life until after 4 surgeries, including titanium cage, in a period of less than 2 years I developed firery burning sensation in right thigh. The edema made my legs look like tree trunks. Nothing could touch that leg. Being a female I was able to switch to wearing skirts and sleeping with blankets held up with a contraption. No matter how much Vicodin or hydrcodone I was given nothing touched the pain. I was given dilaudid a year ago for rotator cuff surgery. My physical therapy was an incredibly challenging recovery with pain meds required and the vicadin was not enough. I have some leftover 4 mg of the dilaudid. Theoretically, and statistically it is recommended to throw out all unused pain medications. I am mindful not to take it daily. I have no side effects and no desire to take it on a daily basis. I have tried clonapin and ativan for anxiety and they feel most helpful as a sleeping aid. With my occasional (2 to 4 times a week) one 4 mg dilaudid, I feel relaxed, calm and incredibly productive. Will the side effects of MS Contin, (eg nausea and tiredness ) subside after time. I AM TAKING HYDROCO/APAP 5-325MG TAB 1 PILL EVERY 6 HRS FOR PAIN I AM IN TEARS. ISN'T THERE A STRONGER PILL FROM DR. ## Yes, there are many stronger pills. You should call your doctor and tell them that your medication is not helping the pain. I hope you get some relief soon. ## Hi Gary, Post #1 is right about there being a lot of other options for pain relief; many of which are stronger than a 5mg dose of hydrocodone + 325mg of acetaminophen. If it were me, I would talk with my doctor about upping the dose of hydrocodone to 7.5mg or 10mg, since that is considered to be the "next step up" in terms of potency. From there it seems like oxycodone, opana, dilaudid, fentanyl, extended release meds, etc, are reserved for more serious or long term cases of chronic pain management.....

I've been on a fen patch for five years due to Pernicious Anemia and nerve damage amongst other things. No other pain relief have worked and I can't absorb through the stomach so need it through the skin. Its been gradually raised and now I an bear it. But I'm always feeling tired,jittery and forgetful though these are symptoms of PA as well. I'm thinking I might start to feel more normal if I stop the patches.I'm fed up of the horror nightmares too and forebodings.
