My physical therapy was an incredibly challenging recovery with pain meds required and the vicadin was not enough. I have some leftover 4 mg of the dilaudid. Theoretically, and statistically it is recommended to throw out all unused pain medications. I am mindful not to take it daily. I have no side effects and no desire to take it on a daily basis. I have tried clonapin and ativan for anxiety and they feel most helpful as a sleeping aid. With my occasional (2 to 4 times a week) one 4 mg dilaudid, I feel relaxed, calm and incredibly productive. But I also feel like maybe I am an addict (in denial) and need to check myself into a rehab. In all honestly I have tried anti-depressants and the anxiety meds listed above and dilaudid do...
I find in my car one small white pill one side got Ultra and the other side one line in the half, any body knows what's is this? ## @Adrian, Looking on the internet, there don't appear to be any specific details stating what this tablet is, so part of me thinks it may have a foreign origin. I also wonder whether there is any chance that it may say "Ultram" as opposed to "Ultra"? Ultram is a brand name of tramadol here in the US, which could make this a prime suspect. Do you recall where the tablet was originally purchased from or what it was "thought to be" since you found it inside of your own vehicle? All clues may be helpful. ## Ok I just found the same pill. A small white round pill. It only says ULTRA on one side and a line to split it by half on the...
is watson 861 a lortab 10? ## No! A blue, round tablet with the marking of Watson 861 contains 12.5mgs of Hydrochlorothiazide and 20mgs of Lisinopril, both of which are used to help treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Side effects may include: nausea, headache, dizziness and dehydration. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help with? ## I switched to this pill a week ago. Is it possible to get hives? I've never had hives in my life but came down with this last weekend. The only thing i've done different is switch to a different manufacturer due to my drug plan through the mail order program. My local pharmacist said that may be the case.
Will the side effects of MS Contin, (eg nausea and tiredness ) subside after time. I have been prescribed 10mg x twice a day but find the sickness and tiredness is still an issue and hope it is temporary and will settle down. ## Hello, Hamish! How are you? Yes, technically they should. Side effects are usually transient and go away, once your body gets used to a medication, but that may take 4 to 5 weeks. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause other side effects, such as dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## If they don't ease off, after that time period, then you should consult your prescriber, as you may need to try a different medication.
Can one take paracetamol with Phensedyl cough syrup? ## Hello, Sue! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these two medications, so that should be fine, as long as your doctor approves. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?
Can I take pregablin, cocodamol and ibuprofen together ## Hello, Kell! How are you? I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between these medications, but it's always best to double check to be sure. The FDA classifies Cocogamol as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. Pregabalin may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with?
I live in Orlando, FL and have had trouble filling my script any advise! ## I also live in Orlando and spent the last 2 days looking for pharmacies to refill my prescription for 4mg tabs. I have chronic pancreatitis and take it daily. Please help!!! ## Dear Jules, Sorry to hear about your trouble trying to fill that prescription. No matter your location, I would just encourage you to talk with your doctor about this problem filling medication he/she writes for. Perhaps your doctor can call-in the prescription to ensure that the script is verified and accounted for, putting the pharmacy in check-mode for getting it filled. If for some odd reason they refuse to fill such prescriptions, I think it would then be your doctor's duty/responsibility to write for something else that can be f...
I AM TAKING HYDROCO/APAP 5-325MG TAB 1 PILL EVERY 6 HRS FOR PAIN I AM IN TEARS. ISN'T THERE A STRONGER PILL FROM DR. ## Yes, there are many stronger pills. You should call your doctor and tell them that your medication is not helping the pain. I hope you get some relief soon. ## Hi Gary, Post #1 is right about there being a lot of other options for pain relief; many of which are stronger than a 5mg dose of hydrocodone + 325mg of acetaminophen. If it were me, I would talk with my doctor about upping the dose of hydrocodone to 7.5mg or 10mg, since that is considered to be the "next step up" in terms of potency. From there it seems like oxycodone, opana, dilaudid, fentanyl, extended release meds, etc, are reserved for more serious or long term cases of chronic pain management.....
I've been on a fen patch for five years due to Pernicious Anemia and nerve damage amongst other things. No other pain relief have worked and I can't absorb through the stomach so need it through the skin. Its been gradually raised and now I an bear it. But I'm always feeling tired, jittery and forgetful though these are symptoms of PA as well. I'm thinking I might start to feel more normal if I stop the patches.I'm fed up of the horror nightmares too and forebodings. I want to switch pain killers to a more bearable one if possible and I don't want to suffer too badly while withdrawal which to be honest, is really scaring me. Any help and advice would be very appreciated, thanks. ## Hello, Linda! How are you? Fentanyl isn't the same as Morphine, it's actual...
Stopped taking lyrica and I thought since my dr told me it was non addictive i would be alright. I tried being intimate with my wife and all was ok until this massive pain in the back of my head stopped me in my tracks. I thought i would die. What can I do? ## Hello, Archie! How are you feeling? I'm sorry about the headache. According the NIH, any time you experience a headache like that, you should seek emergency medical attention. There is a risk that it isn't due to stopping the medication. How much were you taking? The FDA lists the typical withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, chills, fever, diarrhea and rebound pain. Stopping it abruptly also creates the risk of seizures and there is a type of seizure that is commonly mistaken for a migraine, so that could be wh...
I have Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen 10/325 that was prescribed for my back pain which expired a year ago. Is it still effective and how long does it keep its potency? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? Medications do lose effectiveness over time, that's why they carry an expiration date, that's the longest the manufacturer can be sure it will maintain maximum efficacy under normal storage conditions. There's no definitive information that I can give you on how long it retains its full potency, once expired, because that depends on many factors, such as the storage conditions. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If you...

does oxycodone store in fatty tissues like marijuana? I was taking 2 to 4 a day for a year. just found out I am pregnant and I need to know if it will hurt my baby ## Well it does mention to always keep out of reach of children for storage purposes...bad joke. On a more serious note, the instructions for this drug state the following: Before You Take Oxycodone: Be sure to let your doctor know if any of the following apply to you: an adverse reaction to any narcotic analgesic (morphine, codeine, Oxycodone, etc.) or any other medicines / foods / preservatives / dyes, PREGNANT OR TRYING TO GET PREGNANT, BREAST FEEDING, seizures, diarrhea, heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, intestinal disease, lung disease, breathing difficulties, or abnormal bladder function. Can you tell me how many 7.5/325 pills she would have taken to have these levels? She was 83 with multiple heart and kidney issues - did not know if these issues would hinder the metabolism of the drug?
Updated in HydrocodoneWhat does qualitest pain pills look like if it is a hydroco/ acetamin 10-325 ## Hello, Sissy! How are you? The tablet with the M367 marking is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. The one manufactured by Qualitest is an oval, yellow tablet with the numbers 3601 on one side and a stylized V on the other. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I just took tylenol with codeine4 for tooth pain. but pain still there what else can I take can i take ibuprofen 200mg ## Hello, Doodle! How are you doing? I'm sorry about the pain you're experiencing. Codeine is actually a very mild opiate, so it doesn't work for everyone that takes it. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between it and Ibuprofen, so that should be fine, as long as your doctor or dentist approves. Is there anything else I can help with?
Hi guys I had a seizure Christmas night and was in hospital for 2 weeks I'm guessing it was tramadol overdose related I took 16 in 1 day , now I'm out of hospital I still have the pain I always took tramadol for so is it ok to just take maybe 2/4 a day or will it possibly trigger another seizure ? Thank you ## Hello, Johnny! How are you? I'm very sorry about what happened. Really, it would be best to not take anything, without your doctor's approval. On top of the seizure, an overdose could also have cause liver damage, so you may need to be extra cautious of what you take in the future. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and constipation. Do you have a physician you...
My wife has been taking hydrocodone for about 2 weeks, her pain has increased to the level of a 10 and the meds only stop pain about 30 minutes out of the 4 hour period. Her doctor is afraid and refuses to up hydrocodone (I think due to new laws) to give her a higher dose. I went so far as to take her to emergency ward yesterday where she was given dilaudid which seem to have broken the cycle temporarily and she felt OK for rest of day on normal dose of hydrocodone. Her doctor is setting her up with a pain specialist but due to heavy scheduling is like 2 to 3 months away. Question.... Since I can not afford the emergency room every day or two, how much hydrocodone can she safely take during that period until she can finally see a pain doctor? We are in the mean time trying to find out w...
