Does anyone know if this is possible? I want to get into a pain management program for an injury to my back, and they won't take me unless I am not taking Suboxone. Can anyone help me? ## Hi Liz, sorry to hear about your back injury - I'd recommend that you hop in on this related discussion thread since there are already lots of people in there. Hopefully you can find some helpful info and also get others to chat with you about this. See: How long after you Stop Suboxone do you have withdrawal symptoms? ## Thanks Roy for your remarks. You will be glad to know I have gotten completely off the subs. It was a very long, hard road but I made it. I...

There are shortages most years during the last few months and there is really nothing that can be done about them. There are mandatory yearly manufacturing limits based on the demand for any given controlled substance in the prior year. Each manufacturer is given a certain allotment that they are allowed to produce that year and, once they have hit that amount, manufactu...

can tramadol help with my severe itching caused by my nerves ## Hello, Lois! How are you? No, Tramadol is classified by the FDA as an opioid analgesic, so it won't do anything to treat itching. It carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Have you consulted your doctor about the itching? Do you take anything for your nerve issues? ## No, this itching is likely an allergic reaction. Call your Doctor and Pharmacist today. ## I'm seeing a dermatologist in less than 3 weeks. Also an ears, nose, and throat doctor on the same day. I'll try to remember to share anything I find out concerning the "itching" thing. Seems to only happen to me at sleep time.- Weird huh ??!!
I am wondering if my MS Contin (morphine) is different than the N 100 mg morphine sulfate (blue bill)? I'm curious because of switching and I had tried one before talking to my doctor, worried that if I took a urine test that it would show the difference.
Updated in MS ContinIf a doctor writes no substation, will medicaid pay? My mom said these don't help her. She used to have ip204, now this v 4829. I understand these are generic but not helping. What does she do? ## If the dr writes on the prescription Brand Name Medically Indicated, then Medicaid will pay for it. But, it requires a Prior Authorization that only the dr can do. If the dr doesn't do the Prior Authorization and Medicaid doesn't approve it, Medicaid will not pay for it.

Everyones bodd is different. Some have faster metabolisms and or detox faster than others. Body weight and size is a factor. Another factor is how much you urinate. YES, the only way out for opiates is through your urine. So pee. A Lot. If this puts you at ease I'll tell you this so you can possibly compare....I use a heavy amount of opiates ok, and I weigh 240 lb and 5'8 for height. My diet isn...

I have been on hysingla er 30 mg for a week. I was taking vicoprofin 7-325 5 x a day for severe back and hip pain. I don't feel anything on this medication. I've had a bad backache for 3 day s now and I am "waiting" for it to "kick in". It hasn't yet. I've been taking Advil which is helping a little. Why am I not getting relief from this medicine? They say is so strong. Are you joking? I feel nothing. I am wearing a clonidine patch in case I feel any withdrawals. Any answers? ## Hello, Brdie! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain and this medication isn't working. Hyslinga contains the active ingredient Hydrocodone, in a time released formulation. So it is only lacking the Acetaminophen and it doesn't work all at once, the medica...
I have been taking percocet 325/10mg and they've always been white. Today they were yellow, round and with the imprint that looks like a G maybe and on the other side it has an imprint that has 230 on it. Are these generic or non generic? ## If it is a C instead of a G, and it has 230 and it is yellow round, it is generic oxycodone 10 mg/acetaminophen 325 mg . It is a generic made by Alvogen.
my primary Dr. who i trust a lot told me there was such a thing as 80mg of hydrocodone with no acetaminophen in it and that i shouldn't be taking any acetaminophen because it is causing my liver to be damaged even more than it is. i suffer from severe pain daily and need my pain killers to help manage my pain. I have never heard of 80 mgs of hydro's and would like to know if this is correct before i go and ask my pain management doctor about this. i need to know if this is correct,or that he messed up and meant is say that the are 80mgs of oxycodone with no acetaminophen. please clarify for me. ## Yes it is called Zohydro. Straight hydrocone minus the tylenol ## Post #1 is correct. 80mgs of hydrocodone does exist. I just wanted to add that Zohydro is an extended release version ...
I've been seeing a pm Dr. for the last 12 years. Taking 4 tabs a day but when my Dr. retired I cut my meds down to 1 a night. I had 2 on Sunday 6 hours apart. I found out today at 5:00 that I have a urine test Tues. at 3:30. Will I fail this test? ## Blue, it will depend on how detailed the drug screen they give you is. Some are more sensative then others. You may or may not be ok.
I have severe neuropathic pain but Oramorph doesn't seem to help at all, it just gives me the runs. Is this normal? I thought this stuff would help. ## Not every medication available works for every person that tries it, that's usually why there are several different options, sometimes even hundreds, in any given therapeutic category. Learn more pain management details here. What other medications have you tried? For nerve pain, many people have had good luck with the anticonvulsant medications, such as Gabapentin. Learn more Gabapentin details here. You may want to look into seeing if it, or another in the same category are available there and if they're safe for you to try. ## I too have severe Neuropathic pain in my left leg, I take Morphine Sulfate tabs every 12 hours an...
I have been on large doses of opioid pain medicine for 8 years. My conditions require it for me to walk and do anything out of bed. Now they are stopping it. I'm not ready to lay down the last couple years of my life, I want to spend it standing. Opioids have been used over 4000 years and a very smart Indian rheumatologist told me they have killed less people than most of the man made pharmaceuticals. My dose is high, but never needed changed. I really need a Pittsburgh doctor that can help me with the next 2 years of my life. I would placate the doctors and just go to bed, but I have 2 perfect boys. Unfortunately my youngest, 16, started having epilepsy in October. He needs me to get through this. His straight As are slipping, and he needs me up. He brought his computer in my room, ...

Part of the FDA's war on drugs. The only war is being waged on chronic pain sufferers. ## I agree with the effectiveness of OXIR - I was never told that it was not available, but instead the tablet was a substitution. Does anyone know if the capsules have been permanently discontinued?? If so, I shall have to switch to another medication. Is it really hydrocone 10- 325 generic lortab??? ## Lortab, Norco and Vicodin all have hydrocodone and tylenol in them So yes, hydrocodone and tylenol is generic for Lortab. ## Hello, Chic! How are you? What BL has posted is correct. However, if you're asking about the tablet with the N S1 marking, it is manufactured by Nostrum Laboratories and they list it as containing 1mg of Sucralfate, so it is not any type of opiate. The FDA classifies this as an anti-ulcer medication and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, backache, constipation and indigestion. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Well I have been taking hydros, for a while now and it's like I'm have problems getting off of them. But the doctor perceived me some tyolanal 3s 30mgs.
