My son's mother has been addicted to almost every drug i know at some point. First it was cocaine, then vicadins, then somas and norcals, then she started taking dilaudids, a few days ago i caught her cooking them on a spoon and injecting them. She has fused disk in her spine so the doctor prescribes her 90 somas and 90 norcals per month. These drugs make her very drowsy due to her taking to many. So sells these and buys her dilaudid off the streets. I have tryed everything short of rehab to try and get her to stop using, she says her fused disk is a legitmate reason to take this drug, but she take more then the prescribed amount. I believe she just wants to get high. Now she is shooting the drug like a shot, I feel helpless and do not know what to do. A couple of days ago I did not ...

I am curious to know if it is safe to take a percocet if I have been taking 300 mg Tridural ER each morning? Sometimes the Tridural does not kick in (or release) when I need it to. ## Hello, Wendy! How are you? Have they both been prescribed for you? They can be taken together, but you do have to be careful, because if you aren't opiate tolerant, it could be too much for you. The U.S. FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

I found this pill today: It's white, oblong as has the words PER on one side and BR on the other side. I'm on pain medication and I really need to know what it is. Thank you ## Hi Rita, From what I could gather, someone in another discussion thread here was able to identify it as Percogesic, which is said to be used as a mild to moderate pain reliever. [1] It appears that there are multiple formulations for Percogesic: The original contains Magnesium Salicylate Tetrahydrate 580mg (NDC 63029-051, equivalent to 467 mg of Magnesium Salicylate Anhydrous), whereas a reformulated version contains Acetaminophen + Diphenhydramine (NDC 63029-049). Either way, both are indicated for pain relief, but you may want to verify this with a local pharmacist just to be sure. Product details: Dail...

I need to know if there is a 30 MG instant release morphine? Also does 100 mg morphine only come in extended release? ## Hello, Rhonda! How are you? Yes, there is a 30mg Morphine capsule that would be instant release, and yes again, the 100mg is only available in the time released formulation. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I took 2 Acetaminophen and Oxycodone hydrochloride 325 mg / 7.5 mg over the weekend because I was out of my Norco 5/325. Never taken them before. I've got new job and I'm getting a drug test this week. Will this still be in my system and will it make me fail the drug test??? ## Most drug screen will not detect it. You should be alright. I think Norco is hydrocodone based, so Percocet is a different drug, but most employment UAs do not test for them, usually only Morphine and Codeine.

I've been on 6 mg a day of Hydromprphone for about three months. I'm about to stop and was wondering what I can expect in the way of WD symptons. ## Hello, Mike! How are you? The U.S. FDA lists the typical withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, anxiety, depression, and rebound pain. A slow taper would actually be better, because it usually helps prevent them from being too severe. Have you considered trying a taper?

I'm here to try and help someone because I'm in the same boat as everyone here. I started using percs 10 years ago and got off them about 6 years. Well, I started back up 3 years ago. I am taking up to 15/day for 3 years consecutively without missing one day. I'm not going to go into the drawn out story about why I started, like everyone else here, the point is "we're all addicted". So I'm writing now because I'm in day 2 of slow detoxing. 15 a day for 3 years solid is not easy, however, I can say to those of you who are looking to lessen with the withdrawal symptoms should try this. It's not for everyone because a lot of people will stop cold turkey, which can be dangerous, depending on the individual. I'm a nurse who has a career teaching at a u...

Should I be taking the above medications daily? ## Can I take 50 mg pristiq, 2.5 mg indapamide and 81 mg aspirin daily ## Hello, Jack! How are you? Has your doctor instructed you to take them all? If so, it would be best to follow their instructions, although this combination may lower your potassium level, so you do need to be careful of that, thus, it would be a good idea to eat potassium rich foods, such as oranges, and bananas, as well as having blood work done regularly to be sure. The U.S. FDA lists the other side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation.

I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Herniated l5s1 and holy f word it hurts. They are giving me lyrica on day two and feel like a 70 year old drunk. I had a ct scan but was denied the mri doc thinks I'll be fine. What I don't understand is why I'm taking nerve medicine but he thinks I'll be able to re set the disc and be fine. Why not some muscle relaxers and nsaids....I lay in pain hoping this stupid drug works in a week to 10 days. Thanks for letting me rant. ## Lyrica is actually not a nerve medication, so to speak. It is classified by the U.S. FDA as an anticonvulsant that has also been shown to help with certain types of nerve pain, and some mood disorders. It usually takes about 4 to 5 weeks to reach its full level of efficacy in your body, to see if it is ...

how effective is teva Percocet compared to other brands? ## Hello, Annie! How are you? It really depends on which one works best for you, and the only way to find out is by trying it. On July 24th I literally had a freak accident and fell 3 feet breaking 3 vetebra in my back and doing extensive tissue, muscle and nerve damage. I'm seeing a Neuro Surgeon UK but he is unwilling to perscribe me anything above a Loritab 10 now, but when I was in the hospital I was being given 2 - Perc 30's and 1 - Valium to keep the pain away which was working completely awesome. I am in need of a pain clinic or Doctor here in Kentucky, I don't mind driving, to get the help that I need. I'm overweight and have severe knee pain..I can't take loratabs or anything with codeine because of itching and nausea...1/2 of oxycodone 30mg gets rid of my pain with no itching or nausea..why does this occur if they are both similar as far as being opiates? Also, is it OK to take oxycodone during the day and somas for my pain at night as they help me sleep? ## Different medications affect people differently. There is really no other explanation for it. For example, if I take Morphine, it makes me very, very drowsy, and I can't stay awake, and Dilaudid is often given to people in the ER, who present with severe migraines, but it actually gives me a headache and makes me sick. All are possible side effects, as listed by the FDA, it is really just a matter of finding one that...
