Ouch To Sciatica

I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Herniated l5s1 and holy f word it hurts. They are giving me lyrica on day two and feel like a 70 year old drunk. I had a ct scan but was denied the mri doc thinks I'll be fine. What I don't understand is why I'm taking nerve medicine but he thinks I'll be able to re set the disc and be fine. Why not some muscle relaxers and nsaids....I lay in pain hoping this stupid drug works in a week to 10 days. Thanks for letting me rant.
