can anyone tell me if you can take oxycodone Hcl 30mg by breaking it in half. I have them for chronic pain. It is a blue round pill with a V on one side and 4812 on the other. The pill is scored on one side. It seems to be a high dose for one time. I would like to break it and only try one half the first time but I dont know if it is an IR or CR tablet. I don't want to do anything that is dangerous, just need pain relief. Hey everyone, I'm new to the boards and was hoping someone would be able to help me with this because I am at an absolute loss. I'm from Long Island so I'm looking for anything in Nassau or Suffolk County! Anyway, My emergency room CO-Pay is Extremely high and I just can't afford it up front like they insist. Urgent Care/City MD/Walk in is much more affordable for me. I took a bad fall down the stairs this afternoon and I have a huge lump on my arm, cut my tongue open, I'm in massive pain. I don't typically take pain medication because I'm luckily pretty healthy but I really need to get to a walk in tomorrow that will examine me, make sure I'm okay and be ok prescribing me pain meds (at least for a few days until I can afford the ER when my paycheck comes in

I have been taking Hydrocodone 10-325 for 5 really shattered disc's, in which 5 of the top Neuro-surgens in PA stated that I would be a dead man, if they operate. I live in constant pain and the Hydrocodone helps a little. Now a VA Doctor prescribed Tramadol 50mg tabs. This Doctor is not my Primary care Doctor, just a fill-in. Correct me if I'M wrong, but this seems to me that this will in no way take away my pain, and furthermore, it seems like pain management. If I have a hair follicle test in 5 months but took a suboxon & Percocet two weeks ago will it show up in a 6 month test. I take 200 mg Lyrica twice a day for pain associated with Neurofibromatosis. Seems to help but my wife won't come near me. Says my breath is stinky. Not what a husband wants to hear. Have tried all types of oral solutions so problem doesn't seem to be in the mouth. Wonder if Lyrica is to blame since bad breath is a side effect. I'm considering going back to Gabapentin and putting up with the increased pain. Anybody have a similar problem or solution. ## I haven't heard of this before, but I can't say that I am surprised. My doctor gave me Percocet 7.5-325..Half a tablet twice a day, doesn't seem to be working well with my breakthrough pain. I'm also on 30mg of morphine 2x daily. Just switched from methadone 30mg daily for chronic neck pain. Herniated c3456. I was taking it 3x a day and it just stopped working. PM Dr switched me to dilauded 8mg 3xs a day. How ever it last about 3-4 hours. I am a hospice patient and was prescribed 1 - 2 tylenol #3 every 4 hours. I was wondering if this is a strong opiate? Over the past several months (up to 12), I've had an increasingly severe pain build in my left shoulder and back. It started in the shoulder, high up almost into my neck (opposite my collar bone). Since then, it has spread to nearby areas all around my shoulder blade, including just behind my armpit. The pain also radiates down my entire left arm. The areas are painful when I move, and also painful to the touch; the skin is sensitive, almost like a post-surgical site (I've had multiple surgeries- more on that later). I need to test positive for ms contin 15 mg in the morning. Should I take it tonight before bed or in the morning a few hours before I take the urine test? I took 1 20mg opana on Sunday,I have a urine test on Friday,how long does it stay in my system? ## Hi BobbyESP, Opana (oxymorphone) has an average half-life of 7-9hrs and from what I've read, it can take as long as 3-4 days to be out of your system for a urine test, 24 hours for a blood test, 1-4 days for a saliva test, and up to 90 days for a hair follicle test. So since you're taking a urine test, odds are that you should be fine for Friday's test. I really don't have any doubts what-so-ever that you'll pass it, being that you only took 1 pill. I had tramadol yesterday for the first time and within the hour i was throwing up dizzy and really light headed and today still dizzy and nauseated almost like a really bad hangover.. Was thinking it maybe an allergic reaction from taking it. As. I am also allergic to codiene. I took 1 Gen Payne as i had a massive headache and after about 10 minutes i started getting massive stomach cramps. This cramps is also into my back. Its like a massive spasma. This is a nightmare!! I suffer from multiple auto-immune diseases such as Connective Tissue Disease, R.A, Livedo, Raynauds, & traces of Lupus. All of which cause EXCRUTIATING PAIN!!
