I am looking for information on ms contin use after gastric bypass. My previous dose is just not cutting it but my surgeon said I shouldn't have any problems. Anyone else had Roux-en-Y gastric bypass? Is there a suggested alternative and formula? ## So you were on a ms cr before surgery & after? If so, notice any difference in the absorption? I'm really concerned cuz sometimes I dont seem to absorb enough & other times it feels like it adsorbed all at once! I am seeking to understand if there are any blood, urine or hair tests that could be used as markers to predict long-term abuse of pharmaceutical drugs such as painkillers, steroids or any other substances? I ask this question because in some countries all drugs can be obtained over the counter without a prescription and are misused. If no pathological tests can be really useful, what other suggestions could be made? For example, liver enzyme tests, etc. Lastly, if it is desired to test for exposure to pharmaceutical drugs in humans or animals, is it only possible to detect by using separate tests e.g tests for steroids, tricyclic antidepressants, oxycodone, methadone etc. Are there any tests based on inactive ingredients?

I take Norco 10/325 for pain related to shingles and came up negative for a drug screen at the pain management doctor's office and have been taking them. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I take 2 different antibiotics. They are Azithromycin 500mg daily and Ceftin 500 mg twice daily for 5 months. I take Norco 3 times a day and 30 mg of Embeda two times a day. I had to do a urine test last month and it came back that I either wasn't taking enough of the Norco or taking too many. I never abuse my medication and I take it as prescribed. I previously was dependent on opiate pain meds, then got put on suboxone and have now become dependent on that. I wanted to be completely off everything so I stopped taking the suboxone and have used a fentanyl patch for a week so I didn’t have horrible withdrawals. My question is, after the patch wears off would I still have withdrawal symptoms? Is the patch simply delaying the withdrawals? How many different green liquid medications are there? My mom is prescribed liquid medicine and I need to know the name of it. It's green and highly addictive. ## My dad is on hospice. How do I ask my doctor to raise the dosage without her thinking i'm an addict or something ## You should just honestly tell her that you've been taking them as prescribed, but are having more pain than usual. I have a blue round pill that has an R on the top and 215 on the bottom. I cannot remember if it is my Oxycontin or the generic for it. I've just had my very first surgery at age 22 on my right ear (Tymnoplasty). I was actually fine with mild pain leaving the hospital and was given this prescription at Walgreens to take every four hours before any pain started when leaving the hospital. I've never had a problem with generic medication, but this is possibly the worse pain I've experienced! I called my doctor to let him know and he explained to take another even though I had just taken this one at 7. It is now 9, I am on my second pill and still feel no relief. Is it safe to take 20mg baclofen, 800mg ibuprofen and 200mg gabapentin at the same time? I've been taking it for muscle spasms and sciatica. ## According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are no drug interactions listed between Ibuprofen, Gabapentin and Baclofen. This doesn't necessarily mean that no interactions exist, so I would still encourage you to discuss this with your doctor first. However, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to take them together based upon my own investigation - Especially if these are all prescribed to you. I hope this helps!

My husband swears that op is not OxyContin please verifiy this for me ## It is Oxycontin, it is just a new formulation of it that was specially prepared to help prevent abuse. Basically, if someone tries to break it down to snort or inject it, it turns into a gummy goo that retains its time released properties. The change, however, has resulted in it not working as well for some people that had been taking it and there are also some that have experienced unusual side effects. I've taken Roxicodone for 6 years. This month is the first time I've gotten these. They're just made by a different company. I just took one and they made my pain where I could stand it. I've always gotten the big blue pill marked with 224 or the M blocks or the a215 and these are just as strong as all the others ones! ## Just out of curiosity, what makes you insinuate that they're fake if they work so well?
