I'm trying to identify a white oblong pill with 44-389 on one side and a slit on the other side. ## A white oblong pill marked with 44 389 is reportedly identified as over-the-counter Aspirin (325mg). Pain management Drs in Florida are more concerned about how much THC you have in your body, rather than trying to fix the problem or give you pain meds. I'm on 10mg Roxicodone 4x a day. The dr I have right now is the second one I'm going to lose this year. They don't understand! If he would give me back my soma rx I wouldn't need that. I have found CBD oil now that helps for the reason I used cannabis. I can't take nsaid's for inflammation so I used cannabis to help with that. I am scripted oxycodone 5mg 3x day, but for the past 2 months I started taking 80-90mg a day. Last Sunday I decided I needed to stop and taper so I had to drop from 90mg to 10mg a day. It has been 6 days. I can't stop crying. I am hopeless. I don't know if I should just stop the 10mgs or if I should keep tapering down. I don't know why I started taking so much, but I do need it for pain and I do have someone that can monitor the administration of it to me. My question is...when will this end? My Dr doesn't want to treat my chronic pain cause she says it's untreatable...? Here's what she's done in the meantime, she prescribed 10mg max 3 per day of Morphine sulfate and she thinks that's a high dose, which does nothing for me. I've had my right knee replacement done 3yrs ago and my left knee being scheduled this fall. The pain is unbelievably awful. Pain is shooting from my knee up into my thigh and lower back. I got my Oxycontin (name brand) today and thought i had gotten the generic because it had OP imprinted on it instead of th regular OC imprinted on it. I ask my phamacist what was going on and he said that Oxycontin had changed their logo. I noticed the pill was slighly bigger so when i took my pill i noticed it give me heartburn really bad just like the generic did when i tried the generic. Now i am in pain, i have the heartburn, and i don't know if i will be able to hold this new formular down because i am so sick at my stomach. My question concerns drug conversion. The Fentanyl works well, most of time, for my chronic pain, but my insurance now says I can only get it again in March of 2015. This is still Oct., 2014, so I will be out of patches at end of October. I don't understand this, because just stopping the patches would/will cause terrible withdrawal, because if you are only couple days late, withdrawal starts. This happened also recently as my dr. changed (at my request to try something else)100 mcg. patch to only 15 mg. of morphine ER every 12 hours, because of patches costing almost $400 for one month, which I cannot afford, due to "doughnut hole". I am going through a custody issue and this is pretty important. I was prescribed 15 5/500 hydrocodones to take as needed for pain in the evenings. I was really sick the week of the 11/26/12 - 11/30/12 and being in bed caused a flair up and I took 2 5/500s On the nights of the 11/27/12, 11/28/12, & 11/29/12. I also was prescribed Hydocan for my severe cough. And took that in the early morning hours at about 6am on the 30th I picked up my daughter from her father at 5pm the evening of the 30th & he asked me to take a uranalysis. What is the difference between the Percocet M's and V's and the K9's? I know Percocets dont come in 30mg even though everyone refers to them as that. I am just curious as to the difference between them or is it just the companies that make them put differnt markings on them? ## Yes, Percocet contains both Acetaminophen and Oxycodone and they are only available with a maximum of 10mgs of the Oxycodone. I am being changed from 50mch every 48 hrs and 40 mg of hydrocodone a day to oxycodone and the doc only gave me 15 mg three times a day ir release and i am hurting bad. I have a feeling this is not even close to what i am use to. What should i do or say to my doc. I am working with the va military docs which are very strict. ## So you were on a Fentanyl patch that you changed every 48 hours and the Hydrocodone and they've now cut you down to 15mgs of Oxycodone 3 times a day? There's really no way this is going to work, you're going from a time release patch of the most potent narcotic available, down to just 45mgs a day of Oxycodone and that's not even taking the additional Hydrocodone into account. HI everyone. I have some serious questions to ask you all. I started using the patch a few years ago. I was also on hydro pills. I took 4 or 5 a day of the pills and a patch every 48 hours. About a year ago I just stopped taking the pills. But I started to cut small pieces of my patch and chew on them. At first it would last me the 48 hours. Now I am having to find 100mg patches from another guy because I'm chewing a patch a day. I never meant for this to happen, And 5 yrs ago I wouldn't even think of taking any pain meds, but my pain got to the point I had too. I'm now to the point that guilt is driving me crazy. I'm very nervous, i am currently taking 8mg of hydromorphone and 30 mg of oxycontin a day and might have to have a surgery. I suffer from chronic pain from hideous chronic neuro lyme disease. I started taking hydromorphone because it actually helps with terrible undeniable chronic pain. If i am told i need surgery i will have to tell them because i would not be able to come home for 3 days. While doing so just once isn't likely to cause severe issues, it is always best to consult your doctor to be sure. The Hydrocodone tablet you took contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is never a good idea to add more Acetaminophen (Tylenol) to the mix. Taking too much in any 8 hour period risks causing liver damage or liver failure. Have you consulted your dentist for assistance? ## You can verify this information through the FDA and NIH, they recommend no more than 1,000mgs per 8 hours, and no more than 3,000mgs per 24 hour period.
