My pain clinic uses an icup test. I'm pretty sure it is a 12 or 13 panel test. Does oxycodone and oxycontin show up as an opiate and under oxy? ## Yes that's what they are. Hydro is a opiate also but it shows up as morphine for some weird reason. ## Yes, just as Thomas said, Oxycodone is an opiate narcotic and can be detected as such. The NIH warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. How did your test turn out? ## Can oxycodone show up on a drug screen for opiates? Or does oxy have its own spot on a screen?

Is there a rep. for the ppl. who were controlled on 3 OxyContin OC a day, who now suffer and have proved the new OPs DON'T WORK? NO MATTER WHAT PURDUE OR FDA SAY? We need a rep. for us chronic pain patients, who were controlled and NOW SUFFER & CAN'T DO MORE THAN LAY IN BED CRYING. ## Unfortnately, other than reporting your complaints to the FDA, there isn't much else you can do. I'm sorry you are having such a frustrating experience with it. Have you tried to talk to your doctor about using any alternative medications, such as Fentanyl, or the time released Morphine? ## I've been on fentanyl for 15 yrs until they changed patch, it didn't help that's why my dr.put me on OxyContin and that lasted 5 mo. Till they changed to OP, then they stopped working. So ...

What kind of a pill has the number ten on one side and the letter U and the numbers 358 on the other side? ## I think the U is really a lowercase 'n'. The one I have has 10 in the middle on one side, 358 and a score mark in the middle of the pill, and a lowercase n on the left side. It is white and oval, kinda bigger than normal Vicodin. ## A white oval pill imprinted with "n | 358" on one side and "10" on the other is reportedly identified as Hydrocodone bitartrate (10 mg) + Acetaminophen (325 mg). For verification, the manufacturer is listed as Novel Laboratories Inc. and the pill itself carries a National Drug Code of 40032-358. Also, if turned upside down, the "n" could easily be mistaken for a "U" as depicted in Carrie's post. I hope this...

I had shoulder surgery and have carpal tunnel in both hands. I'm always in severe pain. I'm a 45 year old female. Will Norco 7.5/325 help alleviate my pain? ## Yes, there is a chance that it might. It is an opiate narcotic. It worked well for my ex-husband, before his carpal tunnel surgery. The FDA does warn that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as dizziness, nausea, drowsiness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Have you tried taking it, yet? ## I don't trust FDA, when the oxytocin, was the main one that younger folks got addicted to. And now us up in age suffer for it. You need 10/325, for surgery, furthermore percocet is used more in surgeries, 10/325, would be the only ones that would work for surgery, or morphine. No wonder...

Switched pain doctors and went from Tylenol-4 four times a day to Norco 5/325 four times a day. Will the level of pain relief be the same, less or more? ## It really depends on how it works for you. Have you tried it, yet? According to NIH conversion tablets, you'd need 9mgs of Hydrocodone (Norco) to be equal to each Tylenol 4 you were taking. The FDA warns that this medications carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. ## FDA wants to prescribe the more expensive ones. Oxytocin is still legal, yet, those haven't been taken from the shelves, and that is what kids mostly, were addicted to. It's awful that we have to suffer, for what kids done. Stealing from their grandparents cabinets,...

Doc gave me norco 5/325 pills for a toothache. What makes the norco pill more effective? ## That's why there's Acetaminophen in it, it can potentiate the effectiveness of the opiate. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you tried taking it, yet? ## I have a very bad case of fibroids and will be getting a hysterectomy in a month. But until then my OB/GYN has prescribed Norco 5/325. If one Norco 5/325 isn't working, can 2 be as effective as 1 Norco 10/325? ## Nothing. They don't work, unless you've not been on pain meds for years. I HAD Lyme disease, I HAVE high RA ,along with fibromyalgia, scoliosis, ## ...

Hello. I was just given a refill of 5-325 Oxycodone/Acetaminophen (Percocet). These pills are much smaller than the large white pills I normally take (8 yrs). These new pills have RP on one side. So far I have taken 2 and they don't feel as strong as what I'm used to. Can anyone comment if in fact this is a good generic or should I avoid getting them in the future? ## Hi Tom, I can't say for sure whether or not their quality/potency is comparable to other manufacturers, but if they aren't as strong as what you're used to taking, one theory I had is that the manufacturer (Rhodes Pharmaceuticals) may be using a different set of binders and fillers (inert ingredients) than their counterparts from other manufacturers. According to numerous patient reviews I'm seeing ...

I've been driving around this god forsaken state for days trying to fill a legit prescription. 15 mg Oxy. About to start withdrawal soon because of this state "cracking down" Pharmacies are not allowed to order it and as soon as it's in it is gone in hours because everyone who needs it is desperately searching. I have cancer and also have 6 herniated discs and been on this for a year. 8 per day I have one pill left and I seriously can't live or function w/out this at the moment. I hate this state. Withdrawal is terrifying not to mention the physical pain is unbearable. Anyone have any advice? I've been to 8 pharmacies in two days... Back order, no idea when it will be in. Not allowed to order it for me. If I drive to another state do you think I will be able to f...

I live in southern New Jersey. I am currently prescribed roxicoden 30 mg, every 4 hrs. My family doctor has been prescribing them for me for the last 4 years. Due to new laws, she can no longer prescribe them. I'm having a hard time finding someone who will take my insurance. I have NJFamily Care. ## Hello, Jammie! How are you? I'm sorry, but due to the new regulations, no PCP will be able to prescribe that for you. You'll need to see a pain management specialist. Is there a chance your current doctor may be able to refer you to someone? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area? ## Jamee did you ever fin...

just started getting them and not sure how they will make me feel. they"re blue and have 48/12 on one side an a v on tha other side. ## That's actually not a 5mg Oxycodone tablet, that's a 30mg Oxycodone tablet and it's actually listed as being an immediate release formulation, so it would be a generic for OxyIR. And if you were used to taking the 5mg, then this is quite a jump in dosage and you need to proceed with caution. You may experience more side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. If it is too high of a dosage, you may also start to show the signs of CNS depression, which could include extremed drowsiness and sedation, shallow breathing and lowered heart rate and blood pressure. What lead you to believe these were only 5mg tablets? ## ...

Can I use persivate on piles? I have very sore bleeding piles. What can I use both internally and externally for piles? ## Hello, Odie! How are you? This cream contains a steroid that may help, but it is best not to use it internally, unless it has been specifically formulated for such use, otherwise it may cause irritation or infection. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including irritation, redness and dryness. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi. FDA Moves Forward with Mail-back Envelopes for Opioid Analgesics Dispensed in Outpatient Settings: "Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced it is requiring manufacturers of opioid analgesics dispensed in outpatient settings to make prepaid mail-back envelopes available to outpatient pharmacies and other dispensers as an additional opioid analgesic disposal option for patients." im doing a project for my nursing class and i need to know how long do PERCOCETS stay in your system? all i see is people asking how long until they will be clean i need answers not more QUESTIONS!!! ## Percocet contains the active ingredients Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, it is a narcotic pain reliever. I'm assuming your wanting the time it actually takes to process out of your body and not the detection time for a drug test, since they are different. In this case, you have to look at the half-life of the relevant medication, which in this case is the Oxycodone and it's about 4.5 hours. The elimination time from your body is usually 5 to 6 half-lives, so it would be between 22.5 and 27 hours. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have a drug test I have to take and pass i...

Hi I have been on suboxone for four weeks, before that I was on methadone for five years. I decided to try kratom to stop the suboxone but it isn't really doing much and I feel really lethargic and headaches. I took about 4-5gram of kratom at 8am, it's now 1:40pm"..I want to take some suboxone, will I get sick? Precipitated withdrawals? I've seen some people say they take suboxone after kratom and are fine, but, there isn't much out there on the topic. I just don't wanna get sick for I have a three ur old boy and Christmas is in two days ## I got no response but ended up taking 2mg suboxone at 2:30 and was fine...took another 1mg a little later and still fine...just a bit of a headache but I always get that from sunoxone ## It seems like no one can really answer ...

Has anyone received the Percocet with the makings of c 230 made by Alvogen? They are round and are yellow. I know they have to be better than the a333 ones ## Determining which manufacturer's pill is best is all relative to each individual's personal attributes, body chemistry, tolerance and so forth that depicts how well they react/respond to various active as well as inactive ingredients in each respective tablet. Having said this, I feel that the only truthful opinion on what works best is that of your own through personal experience (trial and error); seeing that someone else's response isn't necessarily going to dictate what your reaction will end up being. I realize that this is a bit of a broad response to a more specific question, but I just see so many related t...

Batch number and expiry date for paracetamol manufactured in 2011 ## Pls confirm the expiry date of paracetamol tablet mfg in Oct 2013 ## Hello, Unfortunately, I don't believe there is a public way to look up medication by the batch number to verify such information. From what I understand (and please correct me if I'm wrong), batch numbers are generally only used by the manufacturer to keep track of production...Once it hits the shelf batch numbers don't appear to have any use, unless there's a recall or something of that nature which pinpoints specific packages. Perhaps speaking with a pharmacist can add some clarity to this? Alvogen 10/325 any one else feel it is not controlling their pain as well as other brands. Thanks for your input. ## Hi Annie, I have not tried the Alvogen brand specifically, but according to other related threads on here, Endo Pharmaceuticals is touted as having one of the best working Percocet tablets by comparison. My theory is that one or more of the binders/fillers that Alvogen tabs are composed of aren't able to sufficiently metabolize in our body, thus leaving part of the active ingredient(s) lying dormant within. I don't know if this makes much sense to anyone else who may be reading, but it seems like a feasible possibility since each manufacturer uses a different set of inactive ingredients. ## Thank you very much for answering my question, in your opion it will work ...
