Many people confuse them, but it is actually two different products. One is called Oxycontin and it is a time release formulation of the narcotic Oxycodone. I'm a 43 year old male taking 400mcg taking it 5 times a day. I take it for neck and back pain. I've had surgery on my back a few years ago bit still suffer from chronic back pain. On my neck I have 2 ruptured disk and one of them is pressing on my spine causing flattening on my spinal cord. Still waiting to have surgery on that. Okay, first off, let me state that not every drug of the same kind is going to look the same, so asking what Vicodin or Oxycontin looks like will not get you anywhere. There are hundreds of manufacturers that make these pills when they become available for generic production and the color, size, and shape are all totally up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer. There are no proprietary guidelines saying the all have to look the same. The only requirements from the FDA state that all prescription drugs sold in the US must have unique imprints for identification purposes. Then, these imprints, within a company will vary with the dosage of the med, and whether or not it is a pill or a capsule even if it is the same mgs. Secondly, the letter V or M on a pill DOES NOT stand for Vicodin, ...

small round peach pill ## The closest they make to a peach color is their 60mgs tablet, it is actually a bright orange and has their P logo on one side and 60 over mg on the opposite. Some made by other companies include: An orangish colored, round pill with an M in a square on one side and a 60 on the other. And round, peach tablet with ABG on one side and 60 on the other. Do any of these match the tablet you are asking about?

Narrowing down what a foreign medication is can be very difficult, their markings are not logged with the FDA like U.S. prescription medications have to be. I found a pink K 3 tablet that is from the U.S. and is a 3mg Dilaudid tablet, that contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone, it is a potent narcotic used to treat pain. Could this possibly be what you are referring to?

white solid pill, same diameter as the oxycontin 10mg, but thicker. Was in a bottle of oxy 10mg. the oxy had oc on one side and 10 on other. This thicker one had op on one side and 10 on the other. ## This is an Oxycontin tablet, it's the new Oxycontin OP 10mgs and still contains Oxycodone. This new product has been specially formulated to help prevent abuse and is replacing the original. I would assume your pharmacy ran out of the original tablets to complete the prescription fill and had to add in one of the new ones. Does anyone else recognize this? ## If the pill could be orange-ish in color (might be mistaken for tan), with the marking M on one side and PT on the other, it is reportedly a combination of Acetaminophen 325 mg + Tramadol 37.5 mg.
