having a hard time finding pain management doctors near San Fernando Valley. Please offer some suggestions for a "no-problem" Medicare accepting Dr. Thank you ## I'm sorry, but you're really not going to find a 'no problem' doctor, anymore. There are strict guidelines they must follow regarding the prescribing of any controlled substances, if they prescribe improperly, they risk losing their license to practice medicine. Do you currently have a general practitioner that you see regularly? If so, they might be the best person to consult to get a referral to a doctor that can help you. Does anyone else know of any good pain management doctors in that area?

I am a 28 year old female and I am on 10/325 Oxycodone for almost 5 years now for lumbar chronic pain. My new MD wants me to see a surgeon or get off of the painkillers altogether. I have seen two different surgeons in the past and they both told me surgery isn't an option. But my MD thinks otherwise and wants me to get an MRI. This medication is the only way I can function daily. I have tried to stop and taper off and such but it just causes my back to lock up so bad I can't even walk. How can I convince my doc that I need this medication? Any advice would help greatly. And this doctor is the only doctor I can see in my town due to my insurance plan. Otherwise I'd have to see one 68 miles away so a new doctor won't help. ## Hi katien28, I'm so sorry to hear about yo...

Is it ok to take 10 oxycodone 30 mg ## Take as prescribed, which is probably not 10 of them. This is kinda a silly question and its people like you that make it hard on everyone else. ## @Maria, Dman is correct, you should only take your medication as prescribed. There is no way a doctor would ever prescribe 10 (30 mg) tablets of Oxycodone because doses larger than (30 mg) are rarely necessary. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Oxycodone Details Do you have any more questions? ## My mom has had 7 back surgery's. and a bone from her leg screwed in her back. She is 78 years old. I'm having a hard time finding a pharmacy in St Petersburg to fill oxycodone 30 mg #120. Can anyone help??? pls!! ## Its getting harder everywhere to get your pain medicine.I changed pharma...

The M in a box is the logo used by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, they make prescription medications for people. For white, round tablets, they have one marked with the M in a box on one side and the numbers 0552 on the opposite, which contains 5mgs of Oxycodone, with a score line between the 05 and the 52. Another one has the boxed M on one side and a 5 above a score line on the other, it is also 5mgs of ...

How long does Oxycodone impair a person? If I were to take a larger than perscribed does at 1am,will it effect me at 8am? ## Hi Alesse, Oxycodone has a plasma half-life of 3 - 4.5 hours; which means that in normal individuals, half of it is eliminated within 3 - 4.5 hours. Then half of the remainder is eliminated in the next 3 - 4.5 hours, and so on. Usually, it takes around 8-10 half-lives for the drug to drop below detectable levels if you take a dose of about 80mg (which is a fairly strong dose). That means that as far as a drug test is concerned, it will essentially be "out of your system" within about 3-4 days. I know this response is about 2 days late, but to answer your question, I don't think it would've been out of your system by 8am; however its peak effects sh...

I was a heavy user of narcotic pain pills for my back. I haven't taken any in 2 weeks now. So I'm clean for 2 weeks now and im Just curious how long it would take for me to pass a UA for my PM if I only take 15 mg Roxi in 2 days time? Im a little over weight from 5 kids and 5'3 and i do take some vitamins, if any of that matters. I have seen this question a million times but nobody has came back after they posted a question, to update us on the results of the tests. I would like to get real answers from people who have taken them before a test, the dosage, the length of time until the test and the results. I dont see real answers on here anywhere? It looks like people just find info on the internet and post it as anseers which isnt always accurate. BC ive read of real people...

I am trying to identify PRECISELY what is in this pill, I am used to taking regular roxi 30's. However this time, they look slightly different, it is WHITE, no not an extremely pale blue, I put it under a very bright fluorescent light and it IS in fact, pure white, with no speckles whatsoever. I cannot locate my camera to take a picture of the ones in my possession however they look quite identical to these (the bottom picture), however as I said, they ARE white. problem here is I have been reading up on how they may be mixing naltrexone with oxycodone, in fact wrapping the individual beads of oxycodone in the naltrexone to neutralize it if crushed or chewed, however I have found that even taking one normally *i.e.* simply swallowing not chewing which is my normal method of taking m...

Is oxycodone 10 mg hcl just as strong as the oxy 10 w/tylonal in them? Does one just have tylonal in it & that's it? ## Tylenol and Acetaminophen are the same thing. Tylenol is the brand name for Acetaminophen. ## @Archangel, A 10mg Oxycodone with the addition of Acetaminophen is most certainly going to be stronger than a 10mg Oxycodone tablet in and of itself. Acetaminophen is just there for those who may need a little more relief. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Acetaminophen + Oxycodone Details Are you not noticing much difference between the two, in so far as your pain levels are concerned?

I suffered a stroke 3 weeks ago. I'm still experiencing pain in left foot and left hand, but the entire left side body numbness I first had has lessened greatly. Though at times severe, the hand, wrist, foot and ankle pain is not constant....sort of tolerable for periods lasting perhaps a few hours, returning from semi-tolerable discomfort to outright pain that also can last for hours. It's a cycle I've yet to comprehend so I can't really anticipate when the pain's going to hit hard. This is more than the 'pins and needles' feeling I now accept as my new lifes constant reminder.....This simply is hours each day (and night) of hurt. What medications, OTC or prescribed by doctor, can be recommended? ## Hi, Matt! So sorry about the stroke and subsequent pain. Th...

I can't find a dr that will give me oxys for my chronic pain. ## HI, Crystal! Which one are you actually looking for, a doctor or a pharmacy? And when it comes to a doctor, if you're seeking one, how are you checking to see if they will prescribe it? If you're calling a new doctor to set up an appointment and asking ahead of time if they'll prescribe Oxycodone, most will see that as being drug seeking behavior and will just tell you that they don't prescribe such medications. The best thing to do there is to see a new doctor and just make sure that they get a full copy of your most recent medical records, if they can see what has and hasn't worked for you in the past, as documented by a fellow physician, they will be more prone to prescribe accordingly. Is aspirin in the blue oxy 30 mg..I took it and was sick bad..I'm allergic to aspirin..just curious if it did and that's why I got so sick ## There are no 30mgs Oxycodone tablets that contain Aspirin or any other active ingredients. The higher doses are only available in tablets that solely contain Oxycodone. Learn more Oxycodone details here. However, Oxycodone is a narcotic and can cause some pretty bad side effects, so it could just have been it that made you sick. What types of symptoms did you experience?

this pill is NOT OXYCODONE! It is a steroid. ## Hello Doc slick, I haven't been able to find a pill with the imprint xo 10. Did you mean OX 10 perhaps? If so, you are correct in saying that it is a steroid, also referred to as an anabolic or androgen. It is a white elliptical/oval shaped pill which contains the active ingredient Oxandrolone (10 mg). In addition to being used as a steroid, it is indicated for the treatment of: turner's syndrome, weight loss, and alcoholic liver damage. Side effects can include: Changes in menstruation (periods). Changes in hair growth or skin color. Breast swelling or tenderness. Referenced from: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMHT0011523/?report=details#side_effects I hope this information helps!

I'm taking oxyneo 3x20mg dayly for fibromyalgia. Can I replace the oxyneo with Ralivia or Tramacet. At what reduction rate should this be done safely? ## Hi pibird, I have read of Oxyneo users switching to the medication Ralivia, so I'm sure it's possible. When it comes to the dosage you should really ask your doctor, since it will be based on a number of factors like medical history, age, weight etc.. If you'd like, you can post in this thread where other users discuss switching from Oxyneo to Ralivia: /Discuss/Oxy-Neo-235700_s2.htm I hope this helps! ## @pibird, In my honest opinion, switching over from such a high dose of Oxyneo (oxycodone extended release) to what's considered to be a much more noticeably weaker opioid, should probably be done under the supervisi...
