Oxycodone 30mg Pain Clinics (Page 43)
Updatedi have been having trouble getting a good dr who will write oxycodone 30 mg. my back has been broken before and i was going all the way to Florida (a 16 hour drive) just to get my meds. So if anybody knows of any it would be helpful. i live in KY so as long as it is closer that's fine. Thank you.
Hi.you don't by any chance know of any pain drs in philadelphia,pa?my pain management dr has decided that after 4plus years,he doesnt want to practice anymore.apparently, his reputation is horrible &now no one wants his patients!i spent 2 plus years in a wheelchair-they STILL dont know what happened.i am walking now,but the pain is ridiculous!
I dont know where to turn?
I heard PA is hard but sorry, I can't help. Ohio is close and I tried there yesterday. I was referred to someone who referred me to someone who referred me to someone and so forth. I was finally referred to something called Trihealth. I'm not sure how they spell it. They said they did have several pain doctors but now they have pain management doctors who do injections. The lady asked me what was going on because she didn't know why they were losing pain doctors. Her son or a friends son had broken his arm and they didn't give him any medication. They set it and told him to take tylenol. Everyone was friendly and nice but all just said good luck. I was turned down by two pain med doctors this week. They do injections and since I've had them, they won't see me. Some say good luck and some treat me like I'm horrible for having pain and need medication. Good luck to you. (I know that doesn't help and I'm sorry.)
Hey can you texted me with clinics that take out of state patients? my cell is {edited for privacy} I have ahd 5 back surgeries and still not doing well. I suffer all the time. I had these laws its makes us good people suffer.
Update: I've been making the rounds and sbsierr44, I called the Tristar referreal system (I think that was the name you gave me - can't see the message now. I also called Trihealth referral system as they were recommended to me. One is for southern KY and TN and one is northern KY and OH. The lady I talked with at one was perplexed because she said they did have several pain doctors or clinics and now they have three that might be helpful. She was wondering why it changed. I wrote to ever state and federal legislator (also saw a letter to the editor in one of main papers) concerning how the new laws were hurting legitimate pain patients. The legislator who called me back promised to send me a letter to prove that the laws were not against medication. He told me to take it with me but neither of us doubt it will do any good. He said the AMA sent out a letter to doctors that was also supposed to let the legitimate pain doctors know there was nothing to fear but it seems to have done the opposite. Doctors say they don't want to mask pain, but as the legislator said, if the patient has tried everything and not expected to get better, that is the purpose of pain medication. All the letter can do is tell them that but no one can force a doctor to see you. I was told by the son of a doctor that I like very much that they would at least help me with the withdrawals even though the clinic was closing. Now he says he didn't. No one is going to believe me; I'm just a chronic pain patient. The laws are on the website of each state. Ours is KBML (others probably begin with something that identifies your state. All they have to do is document patient's problem, not expected to get better, use KASPAR or whatever the state's reporting system is and do ONE yearly drug test. Drug tests costs $79 but the last clinic I went to charged $683. That's a new problem they are dealing with now. I just want to be able to see my first grandson graduate in May. Things aren't looking great.

I also suffer severe chronic pain with RSD (not too many know what it is), which is something you never want disease, back surgery and because of walking awkward from the RSD in my leg/foot causing even worse pain and osteoporosis, I just felt the need to reply. Listen up, I worked in medical for years before my crippling injury, and I take 10mg oxycodone (percs) x4 a day. Please read. If your meds lessen your pain and not totally relieve it, be grateful. If YOU TAKE TOO MUCH OR INCREASE YOUR DOSES TO FEEL NO PAIN (which we all desire), you are really messing up. If you are in a really bad car wreck, any severe injury, then you are SOL. nothing will relieve any pain because you take so many meds and your body is used to it, NOTHING is going to help you. Another point is these kind of meds are very hard on your liver. If you develop liver disease you can NO LONGER take pain meds. They will give you severe nausea, vomiting among even worse side effects. With the vomiting the pills are coming out and NO relief. Also, you abuse these NO doc will give you any. Sadly ALL doctors would love to help us, but the government (if they so desire for any reason) can rip away their license to practice. They are terrified of it. Another thing, if they get an attitude with a doc, they can just use this as a quick, doc is done. If chronic pain suffers submit and fight the government, petition, come together to set better guidelines so as to give your family doctors the freedom to intelligently assist in prescribing pain meds, then problem solved. I'm in a pain management and for sure WE ARE BEING ABUSED BY THE GOVERNMENT because we are not getting adequate care. They are there to hand over a script. The guidelines suck! I hope this helps. I'm not yelling at any of you, but rather things to ponder.
i've been to 5 different doctors in the last year i was on oxy and xanax for six years from a injury from a atv accident and two of them gave my lortab 5, one lortab 7.5 and the other two want to put implants in me. i've never sold or gave away my meds i need them but the doctors around home wont give me anything strong enough to even dull thi pain some help would be very helpful
That was a good reply. People looking for a doctor who writes narcotic medication with no hassles is making it harder for people who have chronic pain. We're told the medication won't take the pain away but will, hopefully, give us some relief so we can have some kind of life. A day with a pain level of seven is a good day. A six is a great day and I tend to overdo it and I'm worse the next few days. I tried not taking them unless I had to until a doctor told me I had to stay ahead of the pain before it got severe. That's call pain management. My pain management doctor told me that many doctors were closing their practice because they are frankly, scared to death. I guess I would be too, if I had put that much time into becoming a doctor. But it's making it almost impossible for those of use who use them for the right purpose and correctly to get help. They have things in place now like the reporting system and the urine tests but doctors are still scared. Unfortunately some pain can't be helped, people aren't going to get better and need medication to "mask" the pain. There are laws for that but doctors are still scared. Many people went to Washington about people dying from overdoses of pain medication. Legitimate pain users can't do that and we don't have a voice speaking for us. There have been twenty people who have died from herione overdoses in our area since these laws. I pray that doesn't become the norm. I don't have the euphoria gene so I don't know if that helps pain or if it is just for the people who want a "high". Sad. I wouldn't try that and hope no one on here does. I have a ton of records but I have to take them with me, if I can find a place and start from scratch. Wish I felt well enough to do that. We still have "pill mill's"; they are just giving out a smaller amount of pills and requiring yearly tests which aren't necessary and are a waste of insurance. No need to wonder why our insurance premiums are so high. When the intervention doesn't work and the doctors releases you, where do we go? That's a problem I have now. Many have seen the records and say we can't help. I sign the drug contract, I use the same pharmacy, they can look at the reporting system for whatever state I'm in (mine's Kaspar), I have no objection to the urine test and they can count my pills anytime they want. I'm just tired of being released because the shots don't help. I'll take suggestions from anyone that can answer that.
That's just the point. The people overdosing (my understanding) are mixing a variety of meds, thus multiple suppliers on the streets. If we had ortho/rheumatology treatment we would have far far more adequate care. I think we should petition the government to see both sides of this. Periodic triggerpoint injections of methylprenislone and/or perfusions of same would alleviate some of the raging discomfort making for less narcotic use. In the pain management arena they only want to do the expensive and many times no relief of radiofrequency among others.
I live in ky. I lost my dr. and I need help
The part about h\the liver disease isn't necessarily true. I have chronic Hepatitas C. I still receive a very adequate doseage of narcotic pain meds. Matter of fact my Hep Dr is the one who referred me to A PM DR. It just depends on what kind of meds you get. Methadonr and Oxycodone are two good ones , since there is no APAP in them.
Be very careful if you're using oxycodone without apap because there is a greater danger of overdosing (which is one reason we can' get pain medication anymore anyway) My doctor just gave me my medication with a lower dosage of APAP because it was safer on the liver. He said he would prescribie with no Tylenol if possible but that changes the class of drug it is. Methadone is sometimes used to help wean people off of opiods. I'm allergic to it so it won't help me. Oyxcodone is better at releiving internal type of main and hydrocodone is better at muscular pain. Any drug is scary and has side effects and in a perfect world, it would be great if we didn't need them. I was on Oxycontin for two months and I asked the doctor to please stop that. I wasn't myself. I was a walking zombie and I cried all the time. The withdrawal from just two months was awful. Scared to dead about withdrawal for medication (which I prefer to call it instead of drugs) I've been using for over fifteen years. Also scared to death about living with pain that is above a 7 level for the rest of my life. I'm addicted; I'm physically dependant. Some make it clear there is a difference and some say it's the same thing. It's just a difference in why I need it.
I don't think you will find a doctor who will write 30 mg. if you do I would think doctor is putting you at risk. Maybe a muscle relaxant with 10 mg oxycodone. I had a disease attack my body. I could barely move. The amount of pain meds bottomed out my BP. Be careful. Another additive could be Neurotin. Good luck.
OK if for some reason my thread seems to not make sense it is because anytime I use my aol for email or thread feeds it sometimes decides to disagree with my actual logic. Im looking for any kid of review of the Spine Institute in Danville, KY. With referral I can say they got me scheduled pretty quick, I spoke with them Friday and my first appt is Dec. 9th, she said had it not been for the holiday it would have been faster and I was also honest and told her the PM on Pasadena in Lexington had me covered until at least the 9th. I am transferring for 2 reasons, all of my specialists are in Lex but I moved to Lebanon which is much closer to Danville. Also in my experience with the Pasadena clinic I was just a number and jumped through hoops to hurry up and wait for my intake appt then the doctor which happened to be a nurse. I have all of my records, well over 20 MRIs in the past 3 years a recent spinal fusion in my neck in January and recent testing showing that 2 of the vertabraes did not fuse and are in bad shape and the ortho is pushing for a more extensive surgery through the back of the neck to fix the problem with a medically induced coma to follow the surgery for 5 to 7 days. I am NOT ready for that. The pasadena clinic instantly cut my meds in half and added fentanyl patches which I had never tried and my skin is having a bad allergic reaction to, I showed this to the nurse and said I do not want to take a med that not only has no help but I have a reaction to and she still prescribed them anyway, even after me showing her my skin where I had the patch. Again, just a number. This place in Danville sounds very legit and I meet with a DOCTOR not a nurse and they also have an Orthopedic Surgeon on staff as well which somehow made me feel even more comfortable. I am just looking for anyones experience with them directly. I am NOT A number I am a patient with numerous diagnoses' and legitimate pain. I even had a top neurosurgeon in Lex tell me he hated to sound cynical but with the new laws too many people are turning to H for a cheap relief and he said it was at least cutting out part of the problem.. Really?? He included the chronic pain patients turning to other dangerous and illegal means for relief. How is that fixing the problem, people are DYING because noone will help them anymore and you consider it helping the problem?? I never went back to him after that. I am hoping this change is for the better and at least each time I have called I have spoken to a human instead of a machine like every call to Pasadena clinic. Any feedback would be great!
I'm sorry; I can't review the place but would love to hear about it after your appointment. I didn't know there was one in Danville. I used to go to one in Frankfort but they aren't there anymore but they were good. I did feel like I wasn't a number there and felt they tried to help. I know what you mean abou the one on Pasadena. I was sent there several years ago until my insurance refused one of the treatments they wanted to do. My son-in-law worked in the office there too and I wouldn't go back. Would be really grateful if you put the info on here after you try the place in Danville. Thats as close to me as anyplace in Lexington. I'm seeing my doctor once last time today before he closes his practice. I don't know what to expect. Good luck to you and very much looking forward to hearing your review.
At least three of us on here have said we need to petition the government about the dangers and suffering they are putting on legitimate pain patients. A bunch of people went there about people dying from overdoses of prescription pain medication but I don't know anyone who has died of it. We have all the tools in place now to stop that. I wrote to my representatives, senators and even the white house. I got a reply from on state legislator and a form to fill out from a federal legislator. Since chronic patients don't feel like or have the money to go to Washington, the petition or letters are all we can do but they need more than mine. As I've said, I know we had abusers out there but now we have the steps in place to stop that. We don't need to have scared doctors. If standing up to Washington caused this for legitimate pain patients then standing up to Washington is what we have to do also. There are articles written that they knew this would hurt legitimate pain patients but they did it anyway. Someone spoke louder or more than we did and it's time we did the same. If I can't get replies maybe if others do it too, it might make a difference. I'm just one voice and if we're not afraid to write them, then we are legitimate pain patients - not druggies. Look up the name of you legislator and the contact for the white house. They all have ways to be contacted. The AMA has sent out some rules too so maybe we should contact them as well. We aren't allowed to give out email addreses but if we were, I'd give mine to get a petition started.
