What Is A Medicine That Time Released Will Act The Same Way As Old Oxycontin Before They Changed It To Where Does Not Work Has Extended Release? the new oxycontin DOES NOT work the same as the old one's. There HAS to be SOME THING that will give the same effect as the old ones did that is time released. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THAT MAY BE. I WENT FROM BEING ABLE TO AT LEAST PLAY A LITTLE WITH MY GRAND CHILDREN AND I COULD HOLD THEM FOR A WHILE NOW I CAN NOT DO ANY THING BUT SIT IN THIS CHAIR. I NEED HELP EVEN GETTING OUT OF BED THIS IS JUST NOT FAIR TO THE PEOPLE THAT DO NOT ABUSE THEIR MEDICINE. THEY ARE JUST GOING TO FIND SOME THING ELSE ANY WAY, this is THEIR choice, and nothing will stop them, but the people that do not abuse anything are the ones paying the price. your are NOT goin...

I am recovering from an intense spinal surgery and was given an rx for 60 mg oxycontin. I filled it last month at my regular CVS, but they said it was removed from the books, they even called other CVS who checked and said it was removed from their books as well, guessing that CVS doesn't carry it anymore. After checking with 10 different pharmacies, no one has it. One said they haven't had to order that in a long time. I didn't think it was that unusual. But where in the world can I get this filled? Walgreens is not an option as they are not a part of my insurance plan.

Okay, I am a recovering drug addict. I was on Oxycontin and Methadone and Lorazapam. I was taking all of that for about six years and then decided to quit cold turkey. I went through horrible withdrawals in my room by myself for about two weeks. Now I have been on Neurotin for six years and I have to come off of it b/c I have lost insurance. I take up to 3400mg a day. How do I come off of this? And how bad are the withdrawals going to be? If you know, is it as bad as coming off opiates because that was pure hell! ## Hello, Layla! How are you? Neurontin as actually an anticonvulsant, so while it isn't addictive like a narcotic, a sudden withdrawal could cause some severe mood swings, depression and creates the risk of seizures, so it needs to be tapered very slowly. The modern prefer...

How long do original OxyContin 80 mg tablets with OC and 80 prints potency last? ## Hello, Snappy! How are you? If they are still sealed in the original factory bottle, then they are good for 3 years from the date of manufacture. However, if that bottle has been opened, so they are exposed to the elements that cause degradation, it drops to one year from then. Other odd storage conditions would hasten the degradation, for instance if you were storing them in a plastic bag in a purse or backpack, because that could allow more moisture to build up. Or if they were store in a bathroom medicine chest, where it regularly gets damp and steamy. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth ...

Bought some gold metallic oxyckntin 40mg has anyone seen these??? R they real or fake bc I know the ones I seen r a yellowish color and not a metallic gold.... ## Hi Anna, Just wanted to let you know that this particular Oxycontin 40mg tablet is supposed to be yellow in color (as depicted in a number of different drug descriptions). The problem with going off some photographs on the internet is that certain displays or lighting can sometimes make them seem like their metallic or off by a few shades in tone. For verification you can always look up the National Drug Code, which would be 59011-0105 for this particular tablet. Were you getting these from a legitimate pharmacy?

White pill op on one side and a 10 on the other ## Hello, Andy! How are you? Yes, that does match the description of a 10mg Oxycontin tablet, which contains Oxycodone in a time released formulation. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you have any questions or concerns?

I0took a Norco for 3 years and my doctor stopped Norco the first Day taking oxycontin my stomach was hurting and I felt nauseous and I had a headache do you know the reason why she put me on oxy 20 milligrams Op I've been diagnosed with a bulged disc l5 s1 4.0 millimeters ## Hello, Mikey! How are you? You were likely experiencing a slight withdrawal effect, because you went from a regular release medication to a time released one. And the reason she put you on the Oxycontin is probably to try to help you get better pain control, since lasts for 12 hours. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. How are you doing now?

I have been taking 10/325 oxycondone. Today I was prescribed 10 mg OxyContin OP. I am used to getting all 10 mg instantly within 10-20 minutes. When I took one of the OP's I did not get any relief or feel any effects for almost 4-5 hours later. This is unacceptable for me. I would like to get all 10mg at once like when I take my 10/325's, but I'm afraid of overdosing if I take more than my prescribed dose! Can someone please help! ## Hello, Coot! How are you? You can't do so with these. They are time released and the new formulation prevents tampering to release the medication all at once. Have you consulted your doctor? You may need something for breakthrough pain, while waiting for the time released ones to take effect. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the poten...

I am currently on oxycontin 80mg 3x day Am trying to cut down slightly and change to ms contin. What mgs would I be looking at in the ms contin to be at a similar amount to what i am currently taking of the oxycontin? ## Hello, JayJay18! How are you? Oxycontin is actually one and half times stronger than MS Contin, so if you were taking 80mgs of it, you'd need 120mgs of MS Contin to be equivalent. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I want to know if they are in fact oxycontin 80. Thank you ## Hi stewart, Based on the description you've provided, I can confirm that the pill you have is indeed Oxycontin (80 mg). Oxycontin contains oxycodone- which is an analgesic medication synthesized from poppy-derived thebaine. Oxycodone oral medications are generally prescribed for the relief of moderate to severe pain. Currently it is formulated as single ingredient products or compounded products. Some common examples of the compounded variety's are oxycodone with acetaminophen/paracetamol or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen. The formulations are available as generics but are also made under various brand names. OxyContin is Purdue Pharma's brand for time-release oral oxycodone. The manufactu...

have light blue pill little one side has a m other side has a 30 no line halfing the pill. can not fide this pill what it is was told oxycotton ## Hello, Ramona! How are you? Though the name is often misunderstood, it's actually Oxycontin, which is a time released formulation of Oxycodone. As to your tablet, does it also have a box around the M? If so, then it contains 30mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation, which is a generic for Roxicodone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I am being treated at a major medical center pain management clinic for chronic neck and shoulder pain over 8 years, 2 surgeries. I had to sign a contract promising not to take more than the prescribed amount which I NEVER have, but in last 7 months on 3 occasions, all of a sudden my Urine drug screen comes back with elevated level of the drug. I am very, very concerned that the Doc will no longer prescribe the medication, without which I could not function!! WHY is this happening now, after many years of using the same drug? Thanks, so very much!!

an online escrow / pharmacy says the 80 mg. oxy's oc are still made in india is that true? ## That is not true in regards to the name brand, which is made by Purdue. From an online pharmacy, however, if you are looking to purchase without a prescription, then it is hard to say what they are selling and what you will be getting. They could very well have a product from India, it is difficult for anyone to try to regular what is manufactured and sold in foreign countries. The FDA and DEA only have jurisdiction in the U.S. Do you have any other questions? ## be careful about INDIA,,I just tried to deal with them,,got totally ripped off,,without a response, any package,,etc.,,they emailed me until I trusted and believed them,,when I sent the money WU,,,,I never heard back! ## I ordered ...

is there a way to take out the filler ## No, the new Oxycontin OP has been specifically designed to prevent people from doing just that. They are trying to curtail abuse of the medication. It is, however, still supposed to work the same and can cause the same side effects: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Do you have any other questions? ## the new reformulated drug oxycontin op does not have the same effects and pain relief that the oxycontin oc brand has.what should i do?I am on oxycontin 80 oc mg. ## Its not reformulated . And its the same molecular structure as the o.c. you were probably abusing the o.c. which made them into instant release. ## Verwon, the questioner specified OC, NOT OP. The answer is that if you want a SOLUTION which will be instantly available to t...

I was prescribed 15 mg oxycontin 3x per day along with 10 mg oxycodone up to 3x per day. I didn't seem to need to oxycodone at first but a week later I find myself taking it all 3 times. Could I have become tolerant to the 15mg oxycontin already? ## I doubt you've developed a tolerance that fast, but your body may have gotten more used to it, so the affect isn't as pronounced as it first was. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are there any other questions or concerns?

I have lupus antiphospholipid syndrome, severe neuropathy, chronic severe pain. I have been on oxycontin and cortisone for ten years. I've had clot in Lund and lost most of right hand. These medications have not removed all pain but in ten years I have lowered my own dose twice and never asked for it to be increased. If it were not for this medication the pain would prevent me from being active. I was in army 10 years and scuba dived parasailing, white water rafting, I have always been active. I've had to stop some activities, but the worse thing to happen to me would have to be laying in bed, it would cause me to die quickly, activity is keeping me as healthy as I can be. I have never misused my medication and don't intend to. Unfortunately for insurance reasons, I was sent t...

Has a 20 on one side and p on the other peach pink colour ## Based on the description provided, the closest match I could find is a round pink pill imprinted with OP on one side and 20 on the other. This particular pill is identified as Oxycontin 20mg. Manufacturer: Purdue Pharma LP National Drug Code (NDC): 59011-0420 Oxycontin (Oxycodone) comes in various forms and is used to treat moderate to severe levels of pain. You can learn more about this drug on the page for OxyContin Details Any chance that the "O"P was faded or smudged off at some point on your pill? ## Its omeprazole 20 mg? used for acid reflex. ## This is controlled released oxycodone... I.e it's OxyContin.. It's a generic version of OxyContin originally manufactured by Purdue pharmaceuticals... It is relea...
