To make a long story short I was being prescribed opiate pain meds by the VA and when I got a new doctor they just cut me off with no explanation. I went into with drawls and needed some help feeling better and was told about the subxone program by a social worker. I was desperate for help so I went there and well I felt better. I was able to get a referral back to my spine doctor and they want me back on pain meds and to treat me as an entire patient not just a partial. I have no idea how long I have to wait between my last dose of suboxone and my new opiate pain meds. If it helps I was on 2mg for 4 complete weeks. ## Hi cassi, Sorry to hear about what had happened. From what I've seen posted in other related threads here, the average general guidelines for waiting in-between takin...

What pain medication will I be able to use after suboxone treatment is complete ## "What pain medication will I be able to use after suboxone treatment is complete..." Depends, really. Are you actually looking for legitimate pain relief for a real issue, or looking to get high again? I've been on Suboxone for 5 years and 6 months ago some screws used to fix a broken ankle got very infected and infected the bone around it. Osteomylitus with the infection being the MRSA infection. Painful doesn't even begin to describe the feelings I had. Now I was different than you in the sense that I was currently on Suboxone treatment, making my tolerance to pain medication extremely high. I actually carry a card around with me, given to me by my doctor, that explains what physicians, ...

I wish I didn't even need to take this crap... I was much better off just taking tramadol and occasional hydrocodone. I'm so depressed with all this disgusting weight gain... PLEASE HELP!!!! So I have been on Suboxone for years and years. I have had every different generic made and found they all effect me mor or less the same. However, I am having a hard time with these new West-Ward 54 375 generics. This one just doesn’t work the same. I know all generics have the same amount of drug in them but these just real weak and it really pisses me off. ## Actually, they do not all have to have the same amount of the active ingredients. Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, they are allowed to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredients, by as much as plus or minus 20%. They also do not have to measure against other generics, only against the name brand, so it is conceivable that the new one you are taking was lower in the amount of active ingredients t...

Oh my gosh, it's so very hard to get a straight answer..all I get is everyone's opinions. I'd love to know what is the maximum dosage of mg a person with Chronic Pain can take PER DAY? Thanks in advance for helping me. ## The maximum recommended dosage of this medication, per day, according to the U.S. FDA is 32mgs, regardless of whether it is being taken for pain, or drug addiction. They also warn that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Im on 8mg of suboxne can i take tylenol 3 with codeine with the suboxne? ## Dodo verwon is correct with the maximum dose but suboxone has a ceiling which means after 24 mg no matter ...

Both subutex and suboxone will cause precipitated withdrawal. It is the bupe that connects to the receptors and kicks the methadone out. Naloxone is just an extra blocker!! I am a social worker at a clinic. Waiting at least 12 hours only if on low dose 20mg or less should b OK. But 24 preferred. ## If you take a little less then half of a 8mg subutext 15 hours ago is it safe to take 20mgs of methadone does anyone know! ! ! ## Why do people always minimize Naloxone? EMTs give the ODs Narcan, which brings the patient into withdrawal. Naltrexone (Vivitrol) has been used with chronic opiate addicts and alcoholics in several forms, pill, 30 day shot, implant. It is a VERY strong blocker and has many side effects. I have personal experience with this medication & know that it is not somet...

I've been taking 30mg of Methadone for a few months. I've had 3 severe back surgeries and started taking the Methadone until I could get into pain management. I had a medial nerve block yesterday and I also only took 10mgs of Methadone yesterday, too. The pain Dr. wrote me the Butrans 5mcg/hr patch. It's Buprenorphine, i suppose like Subutex without Naloxone. I'm in a lot of pain today, but scared that if I apply the patch i will go into withdrawal. Please help if anyone truly knows what's best. ## Well, i took 10 mg the day of my medial nerve block, they gave me some xanax for future cervical blocks. It had been 30hrs no methadone, so I applied the 5mcg/hr block along with a flexeril and 2mg xanax and slept. Got some sweats, don't feel the greatest this morning,...

Can this generic form of Suboxone be split into 4 doses and still be somewhat effective in helping me with all my withdrawal symptoms? (Which are pretty awful) ## Hello, Dianna! How are you? It would be best to take it as prescribed by your doctor to avoid the withdrawals. Taking lower doses won't really help much and isn't going to prevent the cravings associated with addiction. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Is it best to take the generic suboxone with 155 and a half moon on it. My daughter was on opiates and she's taking this now, but they say it's addicting also. ## Are the 155 half moon s...

Subutex doctors in Phoenix, AZ - please and thanks ## Hi Sylvia, According to an article on FDA.gov, "Only qualified doctors with the necessary DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) identification number are able to start in-office treatment for Subutex/Suboxone and provide prescriptions for ongoing medication. CSAT (Center for Substance Abuse Treatment) will maintain a database to help patients locate qualified doctors." You can browse through the CSAT's database of doctors here: buprenorphine.samhsa.gov/bwns_locator It looks like there's quite a few options in the Phoenix area. I need a subutex doctor ASAP near Phoenix. I have been on it for a while and I am new to Arizona. ## Dr. Baljeet Singh in Glendale will prescribe subutex if you are pregnant. He did for me 6 years ago. However, I recently went to him and would not treat me because I am also on xanax. So as long as you are not taking xanax or on any other drugs he will prescribe it. ## I know this is old but check out Dr Scott McCall it's called Southwest Behavioral Health in Phoenix they take ahcccs and prescribe suboxone Subutex and methadone ## Did you ever find a doctor who wrote you for both the subs and xanax by chance? ## They will prescribe on a case to case basis. I've been on Clonopin for 31 years and willing to decrease but not coming off.

I would like to create a thread to serve as a resource for those who need subutex instead of suboxone. If you are aware of ANY providers or physicians who will prescribe it: for those who are allergic to naloxone, or to those who do not have insurance - this information will benefit many addicts. So, let's share information and use this as a helpful resource. ## Hi my name is Shelley and I am currently on zubzolv and it does not help. I have been on subutex for 8 months and just had a baby as of June 15 2015. I told my doctor I am still breastfeeding. I got some liquid that is suppose to be methadone. It is orange and a pretty thick consistency. I have heard this is normal but the thing thats really making me leary is that it smells almost like tomato juice.. any information would be great! ## Hello, Based on my research, the smell of methadone has been described as pleasant. Some have said it smells like bitter cherry or even similar to cannabis/marijuana. Do you think you might have gotten a bad batch? I hope this helps! ## Did you get the methadone at a clinic? I've been on methadone for 11 years and never had it smell like tomatoes. If it's liquid it's normal red sometimes orange and it has a cherry taste. Diskettes you can always look up the imprint. I'm in Mexico right now and I'm a regular Heroin user. So I was looking for some Oxy-Cotin but it seems that since october 2012 they are banned from farmacy over here. So I took a prescription for 200$ to be able to get those Lertus CD and men I've been screwed. This dont work at all. I took 2 tabs, after I took 4, and now I just took 8 and nothing at all. My normal prescription is 100mg of methadone and let me tell you it is 3 times stronger than 8 tabs of those Lertus s***. So dont waste your money on that stuff and especially on a doctor to get the prescription. Better slam your head with a hammer. No really it's plain s***. Of course I'm a hard user but also very experience and has I did not took any heroin for more than 10 days now, anything would make me feel b...

My son has been on suboxone for over 1 year now. He was a herion addict for over 12 years. Been clean off and on during that time. I have seen a personality change in him which is almost intolerable. It is like he is fine one minute and then goes off the wall the next. Has anyone who has been on suboxon or knows someone who has been seen a personality change. ## These types of personality changes can occur with the use of any opiate. They are, however, not usually so severe if the medication is not being abused. Suboxone, which contains the active ingredient Buprenoprhine is a very potent drug. Have you checked on his use of it? Is he following the doctor's instructions or is he taking more than he is supposed to? Personality changes could also be a result of withdrawal symptoms. So...

I have hep-c and finally found a Dr to give me Suboxone but I'm worried that when they find out I have hep-c they won't give it to me. I live in OKC, so does anyone know if I'll be able to receive the medication? Can you only get Subutex if you have Hepatitis C? ## Do not even mention your hep-c. It will complicate everything. Just take the suboxone and get on with your life. Also, you will have more energy taking suboxone. I know how hep-c zaps your energy. Enjoy your life. Good luck to you. I have horrible neuropathy in all extremities. One is phantom nerve pain, the most unbearable, as the pain is in my toes that are gone. I tried a piece of a suboxone strip about 3-4 yrs ago.
