I stopped taking methadone 4 days ago; 40mg a day, and started taking roxicodone 30mg a day. I haven't had any withdrawals yet. Will I be ok? I was taking methadone from a neck injury, now I need another surgery on my neck and can't have any methadone in my system. When will it be out of my blood? I need to have a clean blood test. ## Dear Elaine, I think u r going 2 b ok. You would have felt withdrawals after 4 days. The Oxy or roxy r helping u out. B cause you're body is still getting the opiates. I'm not sure how long it takes 4 methadone 2 gat out of you're body, but, I know it has a half life and does last longer than the opiates. Maybe, 2 weeks??? Good luck ## thank you for replying , its been 20 days now an i havent had any methadone, i will never put one of t...

Suboxone Doctors on Long Island, NY that take HIP/Medicaid. Trying to find one ASAP. ## I'm sorry, there's really no central listing that I know of that lets you know what doctors treat with Suboxone and take any certain insurance. Learn more Suboxone details here. I'd suggest contacting HIP/Medicaid and asking if they have any information that can help you, or you can try the Suboxone.com website to find doctors in your area, then contact them to see what insurance they accept. Does anyone else know of one? ## Hi... I know of a doctor in glen cove..and he did take hip/medicaid bc that's what I had and he did prescribe suboxone from what I know. You can email me at {edited for privacy} for more info...I'm looking for help myself lol ## Hey can you help me out at all?...

If I have only been taking 8 mg. of suboxone a day for one month, can I stop suddenly without withdrawals? ## No, it will still most likely cause some withdrawals, if you stop abruptly. As listed by the FDA, the withdrawal effects may include nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, rebound pain and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I would assume you would have a typical withdrawal scenario. NEVER make a decision on medication on whether to change dosages (in this case significant) on your own ESPECIALLY going off anything cold turkey after being on the med for a month. Depending on the medication, there can be some severe consequences. Not necessarily for Suboxone but I personally think you should talk with your physician about it. I'm not sure how it works but if you ...

I have hep-c. I'm on methadone, but am switching to suboxone or subutex. I hear that naloxone is bad for your liver. Is this true and should I tell the Dr this? ## My liver is fatty and I have been an opium addict since 2010. Can you please tell me if Naloxone tablets are harmful for my liver or not? ## Naloxone is processed through the liver, so it would be best to make sure you doctor is aware of all of your medical conditions to be safe, as a dosage adjustment might be necessary to it, or other medications that you might be taking. Shiku has your opium problem cause any liver damage that you are aware of? Some medications can worsen existing damage.

I wanted to know if my Florida Medicaid would cover my zubsolv in Alabama? ## No, you may be able to get someone at pharmacy to help; however I know it does NOT work this way with State Medicaid. You cannot even use Mississippi Medicaid in Tenn. you have to crossover state line.

i i put my last 15 butran patch on and it started leaking through my shirt then the sides of the patch lifted up so i taped the sides down and it continued to leak through the patch and tape ## That is very odd. Did you check with your pharmacist? You should definitely inform the manufacturer. I'm assuming it was a faulty patch. Buprenorphine is a potent opioid that carries the risk of being habit forming, according to FDA reports, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. A leaking patch can create the risk of overdose, if someone comes into contact with the seeping contents.

I'm on suboxone and would like 2 chat with others. Is that possible? ## I'm on suboxone 2 and mould like 2 chat with others, also . I don't know exactly how, but maybe just through leaving posts and messages. ## I just started on subs as well. I was on them about a year ago, and quit. But a few days ago, I started taking them-very serious this time--so reply if your looking information or have questions! ## Yes, you can use this basically like a chat, just by responding to messages left and it will thread the conversation. This is a narcotic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Suboxone details here. roxycodone 30mg tablets ## ive been on roxy for a very long time i am trying to get off of them where do i start? ## try a pill doctors can prescibe you called suboxone 8 mg, it cures the dope sickness and block opiates to your brain receptors. It works amazingly well, try just half of a 8 mg at a time. It will not make you feel high, just make you feel normal and able to continue with your normal life. Good luck ## You can only use Suboxone if you have a severe addiction problem and have been abusing drugs, it is not for use by those who have been taking medication at a normal prescribed dosage. You should consult your doctor and they can help you decide the best way to taper off your medication. ## BE CAREFULL THOUGH YOU CAN GET ADDICTED TO SUBOXON JUST AS EASILY IF YOU MISUSE IT LIKE...

I successfully weaned myself off of a 8 year opioid addiction. The last drug I was on was Methadone 30mg a day for about a year but I took every medication for pain at one point or another. Overdosing 3 in the process. I had major spine surgery in October 2016 to straighten my spine and fused 6 discs. I went from 30 mg a day to 10mg very fast, stayed there a month or so then I went to 5mg/day. Stayed there for a few weeks and went to 2.5mg (My PM Dr. gave me a prescription for 5mg tabs that are scored). A few weeks later I was down to 1.25mg. I did that for 2 weeks then I quit one night. No withdrawals! I can feel every screw in my back but I don't care because I am free of addiction.

my mom takes 36ml of liquid methadone 3 times a day and 7ml of liquid morphine every hour for cancer. I want her to get off the drugs and into some sort of treatment for her cancer. Is she going to need help getting off the drugs? ## I am a Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer survivor. And really I understand your concerns. And I guess it depends on your individual situation. Just keep in mind that it is you Mother's choice whether or not to pursue cancer treatment. Treatment in itself is a living hell and just because she starts treatment doesn't mean she will be coming off of her pain meds. Some people would rather live their last days with as little pain as possible instead of adding even more pain, stress, and agony by going through a treatment that may or may not even work. I just started taking methadone a couple days ago for pain because I was in a pain clinic taking Oxycodone (perks) and Oxycontin (extended release perks) both at 10mg 3x a day but I would take more than prescribed because it didnt help my pain at that amount alone. Then I found out i am pregnant and those meds are category B in the FDA database so its safer to take them while pregnant but I missed one appointment at the pain center that i didnt even know about they made an appointment for me without seeing if i could make it and didnt notify me prior to the appointment day so of course i missed it. Then they kicked me out and said i refused a pill count that i didnt even know i had i mean C'MON thats stupid. but anyway before that happened my doctor put me on this Butrans patch 5 mi...

My fiance and i have been on subutex now for a little over two months. Neither one of us have a prescription, but we had a good friend that was helping us to get them.. however, it has become near impossible to find them these past couple days. and we are rather desperate at this point. It has been TWO MONTHS since we've touched Oxycontin, we have come so far and to relapse now just makes me sick to think about. We both work, and it's not an option for us to have to go through withdrawals while at work, or miss work because of them. After 15 years I was kicked off 200 mgs of methadone daily because the pain doc wasn't "comfortable" with it all of a sudden, but he is perfectly willing to let me drop dead suffering like a dog in front of my family at age 60, two hip replacements and severe osteoporosis. Sure enough the first day I went into a massive withdrawal and wound up with a dislocated hip on top of it at the ER. I wrote a complaint to the NY health dept and got a nasty letter saying the doctor can do whatever he wants as long as he provides emergency care. That can just be one more small prescription of Vicodin. Medicine shouldn't allow for such cruelty. ## I think there is a lot of talk about overdoses. I believe there is an undiscussed tragedy and that is of pain patients being discharged fr ...

I’ve been on methadone for over 20 years. I do not take anything else except what my Dr gives me for high BP and trazodone for sleep. Why am I so weak and tired all the time? Is it the methadone or something else? ## Hello, Calu! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems you're having. What are your usual BP levels? Have you ever checked it at home, at the time when you feel the worst? What blood pressure medications are you taking? The reason I am asking these questions is because the symptoms you've described could be side effects of some medications, or symptoms of low blood pressure, so more information is needed in order to help you.
