It may also cause uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms if you have been receiving long term therapy with Methadone. It is recommended that you speak with your doctor before taking these medications together, so he/she can tell you how to avoid withdrawal symptoms. The combination may also cause side effects that negatively effect your thinking or reaction time. With that being said, I wouldn't say Methadone + Buprenorphine is "safe" to combine. Do you have any more questions? Please post back if you do! ## You can take subutex not suboxone because subutex don't have a blocker, ## Unless ...
I am just curious because once my current employer found out that I was prescribed to suboxone the head manager is telling me that in order to keep my job I must attend NA meetings. I am pretty sure this violates some major laws. I am aware of HIPAA but am curious as to how it works, and what I need to do to take a stand on this issue. If anyone has any information about this issue I appreciate it. ## hello, just happened to come upon your post and looks as though nobody has replied? idk im not too up on the comments thing. anyway, if you have a job in a corporate setting, or somewhere where they have a PR, i would def take advantage of your rights of an employee and start there. otherwise fired!??? ridiculous! let em fire you! then sue the s**t out of em and take that head manager posi...
I'm coming off of years of benzodiazepine abuse. My methadone doesn't even affect me now. I shake as if I'm an alcoholic. I have been feeling isolated and hopeless. ## Unfortunately, since Methadone is an opioid, it doesn't always help with the withdrawals from Benzodiazepines. I am very sorry that you're miserable. How are you coming off of the Benzodiazepines? Are you tapering slowly? Coming off too fast creates the risk of your experiencing seizures, anxiety, and depression, which would be dangerous, so it is very important to taper slowly, under medical supervision.
I suddenly stopped taking Suboxone when my suboxone Dr. Who was located 35 miles away, was arrested for writing himself xanex prescriptions. Being from a rural area there wasn't a local doctor that prescribed it, so after 3.5 straight years of taking 4 to 6 mg. A day. I suddenly had no medicine and no doctor so I decided to quit. I didn't gradually cut down, I just stopped. This was in June of 2013. I had a SEVERE MIGRAINE FOR 28 days straight the week after I ran out of Suboxone .i was hospitalized 4 times, and given Daladen. I actually thought my brain would explode ! It was horrible . DO NOT quit cold turkey after being in this medicine for a long time . ## So I was only doing about 1mg orally for a week or 2 straight. Now I have a swollen tounge, sores in my mouth and someth...
Does anyone know what would happen if you washed and on opened Suboxone in the washer Will it dissolve ## Did you ever find anything out about this? My roommate washed my pants without emptying my pockets & found a whole strip unopened in the dryer so it went through both. I'm wondering if it will still work or not? When opened it it's still looks like a strip but it was stuck to the package &has what looks like water bubbles almost in strip now so am wondering if the heat effected it and that may not work as good or if any. Please let me know. I would just take it but then if it doesn't work she'll think I'm lying just to get me another one because I'm low on mine after missing my refill appointment. ## There is a good chance that it is no longer safe to...
I am having minor surgery in about eight days. I have been taking about 8mg of Suboxone for opiate addiction for the past four months. The sedation for my surgery typically requires iv fentanyl and iv versed, however since I am taking Suboxone, this combination will not be effective. I was advised to take more than my usual dose of Suboxone the day of the procedure and will only be administered the iv versed. I was told the higher does of sub WITH the versed will make me comfortable enough to tolerate any pain. I am very scared this is not going to help my pain and I will feel everything!!! I know the versed will help anxiety, but will upping the dose of my sub really work for pain??? If so, how much more should I take? ## Usually, a person is told to stop the Suboxone for a few days, b...
I take 3-5mg Valium plus 3-8mg subutex daily. I've heard its not a good combo to take at all! I take the Valium for panic and anxiety attacks and take the subutex for chronic pain. I was in a motorcycle accident and died but lucky i am alive today! I've been worried because even the paperwork that comes with my subutex for the pharmacy says DO NOT Take subutex if you're taking Valium! I cant find a good answer. I take gabapentin 800mg 4× daily and 100mg 1× night at bed time for sleep. I am really nervous about this because i do also take a lot more meds and i have asthma and have 2 different asthma pumps to use everyday. FYI - everything is prescribed in my name by 3 different doctors. I have gotten chest pains and feel really sick. Do you think it has to do with t...
want to know the identity of the pill ## i want images of e 131 methadone ## Hi catfish, You mentioned that you wanted to know the identity of this pill, but you already confirmed that within the title of your thread (re: methadone)... However if I can add any validation to that, E 131 is in fact listed as Methadone (10mg), manufactured by Sandoz. I don't have a photograph to show you, but I believe the pill's National Drug Code (66689-0810) should suffice as another point of reference. I hope this helps! ## can methadone help to flush out marijuana from the body? and if so, how long will it take? ## Any photos of a methadone pill? ## Oxyctin,I just wanted to know what they look like just in case. ## Does the methadone pill imprinted E 131 have a score on the back? Or is it just...
Hello, I am new to this, but my this is what happened, I really need some feedback so anything would be appreciated. I have been on suboxone for about 6 months now, and have been doing wonderful. Haven't even thought about relapsing. About 2 months into my program my car was broken into in the college parking lot of my school and my suboxone was stolen out of the glove compartment. I filled a police repot and went to the doctor and got a replacment script. I really like my doctor, and she has always been good to me and happy to see me start getting my life back together. On christmas, I went to my granmothers along with my husband, and son, and of course there was some other family present. We had a great evening and came home about 11. Upon getting home, I realized that my subs wer...
I have been taking suboxone for closed to three years I started out taking 3 8mg a day and now am taking only one 8mg but in the past monyh I've gone to the hospital three times for what they call severe panic attacks and I can't seem to get rid of them they feel like I'm going into shock I become very lightheaded disoreanted feel like I'm going to die they said at the hospital that all my blood work was fine cats an was fine and my heart was fine other then the fact that I have an irregular heartbeat which is said to be benign so my doctor prescribes me klonopin 1mg and knows I'm on suboxone my? Is it safe to take suboxone and klonopin my dr says it is but I'm still worried because I have a low heartrate its usually 48 to 50 can I get anyone's thoughts ## An...
Need to find a similar pill to a 8mg subutex with imprint. 54 411 ## Unfortunately there aren't any pills with the same imprint and/or color, since this is what makes these 8mg Subutex tablets unique amongst other pills on the market. I don't know why anyone would even need a fake replacement for it, but I hope for whoever's sake that it's for the right reasons. The closest match I was able to find is a white round pill marked "54 755", however this also happens to be generic Subutex. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Buprenorphine Details May I ask what you plan on using the replacement for? ## Yes they make generic Tylenol from the dollar store that looks just like subutex but the rylenol pills are a little more hard than the texs ## Wat is the...
Will Subutex show up on a 8 panel drug screen? ## It really depends on what the place is looking for; While there is a Buperenorphine (Suboxone) specific drug test, not many places use it. According to my research, most places don't drug test for Suboxone at all. This is not to say that it will never show up, but it is unlikely. If you do think you are at risk for it showing up, I would suggest informing them that you are on it, under a doctor's care. But from the majority of information i've read on the subject, you shouldn't be too concerned about it even showing up. The half-life of Suboxone is anywhere between 24-72 hours; so I would suggest giving yourself a week or longer if you think you are going to be testing "specifically" for Suboxone. I know this isn...
I have a mouth swab drug test on Friday. Today is weds and I have been taking subutex every day for 2 years, I am 145 pounds and have high metabolism. How long does the subutex stay in your saliva? Does the mouth swab test even detect it? How do I pass this test?? I really need this job! Any advice or info is appreciated! ## did you pass the test or figure out how to? i also have a mouth swab test in a few days for a job.. ## Yes subutex will show up in a test. I'm not sure how long it stays in ur system after the last time u took it, but it matters how much and if u have a fast metabolism that can be helpful. I suggest googling how long would it stay in a person's system. ## Whats the answer on thia i have test monday ans i habe taken suboxen for 3 yrs everyday i need to know t...
Can you break the methadone 10mg into half?? ## Dear Samantha, yes, u can break them in half. It might b easier 2 get a pill cutter. They work great. U can get them at cvs or pretty much any pharmacy. They r sold over the counter. ## Yes as far as I know, personally have broken in half over ten years. Have chronic pain and when I was not in as much pain I often only took half (5 mg.). Contact your pharmacist first, if you call your Dr. they might decrease dose, feeling you don't need as much, I am assuming you take for pain relief. If so may days you will need dose prescribed. Wish that was my problem, after ten yrs. a new doctor said I abused, took other non-prescribed drugs and street pills. Without one blood-urine examination, so not one Dr. Will prescribe me even my meds. For Ga...
I was taking 10mg norco 6× a day for 7 years and wanted off so my sister talked me in to getting on methadone. I've gone for 3 days and been getting 20mg a day but I don't like how it makes me feel. I feel really high on it and feel like I'm gonna pass out. So I don't want to go any more my question is will I have withdrawal from that small amount that I've been on? I've recently been told methadone withdrawal is horrible. ## Hello, Cindy! How are you feeling? You might be better off asking them to lower the dosage, rather than stopping, because yes, you aren't out of the woods for withdrawals, yet. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and co...
I have a unique situation. I am a recovering addict with severe chronic pain. I have really bad scoliosis that's in my neck and back and been in several really bad car wrecks. Lets just say I'm a tree magnet when riding with other people. I have been on suboxone and subutex for the last 2 years. Before then I was going to the methadone clinic on and off for a few years but I couldn't pay for it anymore so I had to stop going. And before and during that I was going to the pain clinic for my back and neck pain. I was prescribed 120 10mg oxycodone and 120 60mg Morphine. Before all that I was Doing like 6 to 10 80mg OxyContin and 6 to 10 200mg morphine a day off the street from age 16-24. This was before I got insurance and found out I had scoliosis at the age of 24 and now abou...
I take 4 mgs of suboxone everyday and it's been like 5 hours since I took my suboxone. Is it ok to take a gabapentin? ## The FDA recommends that they usually not be taken together, since they can both cause depression of the central nervous system, which could lead to severe health consequences and has been known to cause death, in some case. Have they both been prescribed for you? Are you on any other medications? ## Yes, Neurontin 10 yrs, Suboxone 4 months and not one problem. There's more to the story. She complaines about everything I do and take and refused to give them to me, yet another Walgreens did. She hates me. And now has cost me 60$ more than I usually paid. I am so frustrated and don't know where to go from here. ## Yes u can, gabapentin is not a controlled sub...
I have been taking roxane/west-ward pill # 54 411 for over a year now. When I filled my September script, I immediately noticed that it didn't work like before? All other meds the same. It has helped significantly with pain control n sleep. But from the very 1st pill, it didn't help. I know roxane was bought out, but that shouldn't change it? Anyone else notice a difference? I called the manufacturer n they r checking into it. ## I was getting the Roxanne 54 411 for about 2 years and I much preferred those of any of the other ones that were out at that time and then they were bought out by Hikma and the first thing that I noticed was the taste and the effect wasn’t the same for me. Since then I have gotten the Hikma brand about 6 times and it’s weird because if I...
GETTING OFF PAIN MEDICINE ## I have a friend that would like to get off of oxycotin. How can he be prescribed suvoxin and how does one get into rehab quicker and without insurance? ## The medication name is actually Suboxone, it contains Buprenorphine, and Naloxone, it is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, not therapeutic use of a medication. The same is true of rehab programs, they are intended for addicts, not those taking therapeutic doses of any given medication. Suboxone itself carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation, headache, and dry mouth. What dosage of Oxycontin is your friend taking and how long have they been taking it? If they work with their doctor, they might be able to just taper off of it.
I'm having a very difficult time finding a Dermatologist that accepts Medicaid. I live in Western Suffolk County and will even travel to Nassau County. ## Hello, Pat! How are you? The best idea that I can offer you is to call the NY Medicaid recipient number and see if they have a listing for one in your area that accepts it. You can reach them at 800-541-2831. Does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions? Do you have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, they may also be able to refer you to someone that accepts it. ## Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a try! Pat ## Very welcome! I hope you find the help you need! Post back and keep me updated, thanks! ## Hi Pat, I am going to let you know that unfortunately, no matter how great or lousy your insurance is, suboxone docto...
