I am on several meds and just tested positive via urine testing for Suboxone. I have never taken Suboxone can my other meds cause me to test positive for this drug? Here is a list of my meds: Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen (Norco), Remeron, Effexor, Wellbutron, Vistaril, Coreg, Neurontin, Klonopin, Claritin, Magnesium Oxide, Metro gel 1%, Zofran, Zantac, Simvastatin. Okay. So I have been on Suboxone for about a year and I am just fed up. In my opinion (and I'm sure many others) my doctor is doing it for the money and is not very well read. I have been stuck at 8 mg. sometimes I drop down to 7 but it varies. I have an incredibly fast metabolism. I can't break 100 lbs, I eat constantly, and I'm 22. I go into withdrawal very fast. I have gone through w/d plenty of times. The worst was the last time, when I kicked my opiate habit cold turkey in detox. I refused meds and just went through the motions. It was horrible but over fast. When I have kicked Suboxone, I tend to feel better after three days. But that's just me. I've been on Subutex 8mg for approximately 4 years. And through this process I have noticed a difference in the manufacturing companies that make these tablets. I can't even dispute these comments because I have backed them up with people I know that take the same medication for purposes of addiction. First and foremost do not take this medication 4 any other use then what your doctor prescribed it for. The number one clear favourites is the 54411 by West-Ward And the worst ones are the little small white tablets with the arrow on one side and the number 8 on the other side. Those are just terrible. has anyone come down from suboxone slowly with no ill effect? ## yes ,i was on 115 mgs of methadone @ swithed to suboxone,it was much easier to ween down from sub than methadone,i'm on 4mgs,down from 16 mgs,it's a good treatment and you must ween down slowly,2mgs every 2 weeks,no sickness,that wasn't the case with methadone. ## Suboxone is very popular for this very reason, a slow taper makes it much easier to get off and stay off drugs. ## i am down to one suboxone a day now after being on three for about 6 months...i cannot afford it anymore so i plan to be weened on in a month or so...should i split my films in half for 2 weeks then to 1/4 ? will that help with withdrawal symptoms....i am scared of the symptons cause i work and go to school and do not want to be or feel s...

All pharmacies local to Lakes Region have randomly switched and I've tried every other options and all of them SUCK!!! It's so stressful wondering and waiting to find out which brand they will give me each month. I have been on suboxin, and subutex for a little over 3 years now... but more subutex... and this past week when I picked up my script... it was NOT the same pill... it is a small white round pill with an arrow on one side, and and 8 on the other side... it is TINY.. like.. the size of a clonodine... I'm wondering HOW these small pills could still be 8MG when they are the size of a 2mg piece? and am I still supposed to take it under my tounge? i dont understand how the 8 MG subutex i have been on for so long are so big that I have to break a half in half and put it under my tounge, and then repeat with the other half? if anyone has any information that can help me... that would really be appricaited, especially how its a sunday, all pharmacies closed early, and im just so confused w...

I have been on Suboxone since 2007 and it has always done wonders for me I started out on it for Opiate Addiction But am now on it for Pain management and they said I would be on it for the rest of my life. But Recently I have been getting bad pains in my side where my liver is and it makes my tongue raw and my throat swell, So I had Blood work done and found out that I am Positive for Hep C. Will this allow me to be switched to Subutex instead of Suboxone? I am prescribed 16mg of suboxone films per day. Recently my baby was diagnosed with a red and yellow dye allergy. Seeing how the films are orange I'm assuming there must dye in them. I have cut things out of my diet in cycles to come to this conclusion. I was a chronic orange soda drinker and when it finally came to cutting that the rash my baby was getting went away for a couple days but now is back but milder, maybe because the only dye I'm consuming is frim my suboxone? Hi, I'm currently taking 120mg of methadone which i take 40mg every 8 hours and I've been in the hospital for over 3 months due to a blood infection that has left me almost unable to walk. Now I would have to go to a methadone clinic everyday in order to dose which is impossible with me being in a wheel chair right now. I'm wanting to go back on subutex as I was on this medication before until I needed something stronger for pain. Are Methadone and Methadose the same thing? I am on Methadone right now, and I am tired of going to a clinic everyday. Can a doctor prescribe me Methadose once a month? Thanks ## Stay clean and in 1 year you'll be going 1 or 2 x week ## Methadose is the liquid form of methadone and in my state (OH) it's what is given at the clinics. You would have to check your local laws but generaly speaking methadone maintenance is only done at a federaly regulated clinic and not in a Dr office. Have you considered Suboxone? The laws governing that are not as strict and alot of Dr's can prescribe it although they do have to apply for the rights to prescribe it. ## Carrie is correct. I have been taking 80 mg of methadone for the past 6 months. I had 3 dirty ua's and they decided to kick me out of the program. When I asked them if they were going to medically detox me, they refused to do so. I know that this is illegal. I have been on methadone maintenance several different times over the past twenty years. Previously, I always received powder methadone dissolved in Tang. On several occasions I found myself in a situation where my methadone was not available to me for a given period of time. While on methadone, the withdrawal symptoms did not even begin for approximately three days after ceasing administration. Now I am on a similar dose of liquid Methadose and I wake up in withdrawal every morning. What more do you need to know in order to be convinced that the two products are dissimilar? ## Methadose is just a brand name of Methadone made by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. No difference.

I need to find a kind pain management doc in San Antonio, TX that will take medicaid Amerigroup. I'm currently seeing Dr. Kanishka Monis. He is a nice young man BUT, his staff and their way of handling patients is terrible. I was changed from Butrans 10 patches with 3 8mg suboxone a day to 20 mgs of methadone, after a week of hell I called to see if I could up the dose a little. No. I had to see him. But I couldn't get another appointment for 10 days. They have NO protocol for adjusting dosages in patients that are not at a therapeutic level of medication.
