Does anyone know of any doctors in the Chicago area currently prescribing low doses of opioid pain medications? Something like 10-325 Norcos, 20mg-30mg oxycodone IR, 15mg-30mg MSIR or even Suboxone? I broke my back over a decade ago. I recently herniated another disc at L4 and am experiencing terrible pain that shoots all the way down my left leg and into my foot. I’ve been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and am also experiencing narrowing of the spine at L4, L5. I used to be on tons of these kind of medications and was weaned down on my own choice, but the pain has become unbearable and I need to be able to work. I know Suboxone helps with pain as well and is extremely helpful in preventing cravings for higher doses of opioids. I would be happy to even be taking Suboxone...

I did a regular urine screen at my pain doctor's last month and this month my new nurse practitioner said it tested positive for Suboxone ! I did not even know what it was ! I did just start taking Buspar, could that have caused a false positive ? I have been going to that practice for 7 years, I have never had a bad urine screen before ! Hello, I am looking for a Dr in or near Lancaster Ohio that can prescribe LIQUID methadone to me to get me off Suboxone. Here is a little background. I took percocets for recreation use for just over a year. In November of this year I will have been on 24mg of Suboxone a day for 2 years. Yes I have been on the subs twice as long as my addiction lasted. Don't get me wrong subs saved my ass but I am ready to close this chapter in my life and move on. I have tried several times to taper off subs and have just accepted that I do not have the will power to do so. Hi all, first time posting. Thanks for reading. I have been on suboxone (will call SB bc I don't like "bupe" or "subs"... they just sound like using talk to me and I'm trying to avoid that, nothing against anyone, just my thing...) So today I woke up, took my spironolactone, wellbutrin, abilify, adderall, provigil, and 2mg SB bc I'm trying to taper off. Then I remembered I'm out of the armor thyroid that I switched to about 6 months ago, so I took my levothyroxine. I then took 2 tylenol, had black coffee, green tea with splenda, and toast. A couple minutes later I used the off brand monostat for a yeast infection I'm sure I have, but haven't been to the md yet, and some hydrocortisone. I have pain and addiction to opiates. After being on 90 mg of methadone for about 5 years (and suboxone before that), the doctor i was seeing left the practice for better pay. I ended up with a nurse who decided I no longer needed the methadone and she sent me to a pain clinic to be taken off if. The new doctor seems to think 10 mg a week is safe to drop me. I'm down to 25 mg and feel like hell. Everyone says he's going too fast but no one will help either take me off them safely or talk to him. It's peach colored, and it has the numbers 54 and then it has 375 directly underneath....what is this????? Please help me!! I need a new subutex doc. I have been on it for 2 years now, my is weaning me off because he only had room for pregnant women, and I'm no longer Prego, he thinks a six week wean down program is going to work, but I'm having an extremely hard time weaning that quick. I have been on Methadone for about 3 years for long term pain management and the stomach issues are awful. I went from 30 to 10 two years ago and have now been 3 days on 7.5 with no withdrawals yet. When will they start? I have clonidine and Ativan from the doctor to help, but I have a 3 day conference in July 7-9 and need to be pain free at 7.5 by then. Hello all. I am seeking advice for either home remedies to help alleviate some of the symptoms of withdrawal as you taper off methadone, or any and all suggestions about how to go about reducing the dosage and cravings. My boyfriend has been on methadone for 3 years. At first it was a 105 mg dosage just a substitute to get his fix instead of using. Now, he is really trying to get clean and slowly get off methadone. He's been on 30 mg for (from what I can recall) 6 months. About a month ago, he tapered down to 25 mg. He takes 10 mg pills and we are cutting them into fourths and halves. He tried to go down to 23 mg, but he has had a hard time with his nights - joint pain, muscle spasms, cravings, etc. So now he is a little reluctant to continue to go down. I was robbed and ALL my scripts were stolen. I went a whole month without my Percs 15s and OC 40s. I finally went to a methadone clinic. Been on for 3 weeks at 60 mgs now and got my script back yesterday for my Percs and OCS so I didn't dose today and OMG the withdrawals are starting and they are bad. Taking Percs and OCS are doing S***. WHY AM I STILL IN WITHDRAWAL? PLEASE HELP!! ## Because there is something in methadone that prevents other narcotics from making you feel high.
