Hello everyone :) I'm 29 years old. I've been atticted to pain killers of all kinds since I was 25. I have been on Suboxone for 4 months now. I would like to share my personal, very positive experience taking this medication with anyone that has questions about it or is looking to start it. ## Hi Kristin, I've been reading around these boards a lot and there seem to be a couple of common concerns among people considering suboxone. 1) How and where to find a doctor to prescribe it 2) Is Suboxone affordable for the average person? If not, are financial aid programs available? Would love to hear more details about your experience with this! ## As to where to find a doctor who can prescribe it, there is a website just for that, which lets you search for doctors in your area. As ...

does subutex have a 3 on one side of it ## Hi Heather, Subutex pills do not have a 3 on them; or at least the white one's don't, as I haven't seen any other colors. The imprint on white subutex pills are: "B8" or "B2" on one side (depending on the dosage) and on the other side is a sword-like symbol. Does your pill have any other markings or imprints?

How long does the high feeling of an 8mg Subutex 54 411 last before you need another one? ## The high is actually a side effect and not something that's considered desirable, so there have been no tests done to see how long it may last. Additionally, whether or not you feel high isn't the proper determiner of when you should take this medication. Learn more Suboxone details here. This is a prescription medication that contains a very potent narcotic and it should only be taken as directed by your physician. Are there any other comments or questions?

I am looking for any resources or information about getting any kind of help paying for the methadone clinic, I know things are different depending on where you live, I happen to live in Lake Charles Louisiana. My wife and I have both been opiate addicts for over 10 years, and have both tried suboxone treatment and we have not had very good results. Subs leave us feeling terrible and ultimately end up being just a way to avoid cetox in between dope binges. The DEA rules with Sub are set in favor of the doctors, manufacturers, etc to make money. Methadone clinics are money makers Im sure but the politics behind them seem to be more focused on real addicts, finding real productive change and leading healthier lives etc. However, as for my wife and I, we are not prescribed anything at the ...

Ready to stop taking loratabs ## Have you asked your doctor about using Subutex to get off the Lortab? Most pain management doctors should have a general understanding of what you need to safely get through the withdrawal phase of such medications. In the event that you can't get Subutex, I'd even consider cutting the Lortabs into smaller fractions so you can take a partial dose to help ween down and lessen your need for more addicting meds like Subutex. I only say that because I've been reading a number of posts stating how some people use Suboxone, Subutex, & Methadone to get off one med and they ironically end up getting addicted to those one's as a result of taking them for so long. My suggestion is to take your time tapering off, but your doctor would probably h...

I take 15 norcos at a time, 3 times a day, Im basically using suboxone to kick my withdrawls, how much should I take on day 1, day 2, and so forth? I really need help, ive run out of money and cant do the cold turkey thing because im a manager at my job and I have a baby to take care of. Any suggestons are welcome, thank you ## You were taking 45 Norco tablets a day? If that is the case, then you need to see a doctor immediately for medical testing, because you have been putting your life in danger and may already be suffering serious and dangerous organ damage. Norco contains Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, each contains 325mgs of the Acetaminophen and at 45 ...

Hi, my name is Rebecca. I have been using opiates for about 3 years now, but I've only been addicted to opiates for a year now. I say opiates but I go back and forth between opiates and suboxone. For the past year I have been using suboxone almost everyday(supplied by boyfriend) and he does it too. Last week my boyfriend and I went through a nasty breakup and he hasn't been giving me anymore suboxone or using it himself either. We were together 5 years and were happy(I'm absolutely devastated.) snd we also LIVE TOGETHER. however, I could go on about what's been going on in the relationship and how upset I have been, and him just going out and partying like nothing happened, but that's not why I'm typing this. So back to last week, we broke up and quit taking subo...

I take methadone for pain management I took a few to many and now my doctor wants me to take a urine drug screen at the Veterans Administration's lab. I have a twin brother who has clean urine, can I dilute my urine with his so it doesn't look like I went over on my script? I gave him 6 to take last night and he's going to deliver the urine this a.m. I take 12, 10 m.g. tabs a day so I know I need to add some of mine. Thank you in advance for any advice offered. ## I think you are worried for no reason. If you did not take any other drugs than he knows you are prescribed. They usually only test to make sure you test positive for methadone and negative to other drugs not the amout of methadone in your system.

Hi, my name is Ashley. I wanted to just make a place where fellow people who are either struggling with addiction or who are struggling to maintain sobriety to just come and tell their stories, vent or ask for advice. If you are going to come here to judge, be inconsiderate or just plain rude and mean. Take your Debbie downer butt somewhere else. I want this to be a place where we can help each other heal. From one addict to another. So please tell your story, ask advice or just talk Cuz lets face it talking to someone who can relate helps to heal! I went for two years before realizing I wasn't the only one going through opiate addiction and have been clean for three months. And one more thing PLEASE DO NOT GIVE MEDICAL ADVICE UNLESS YOU ARE A DOCTOR SPECIFICALLY TRAINED IN TREATING...

Can anyone tell me how long withdrawls last and how fast I should detox? I need to get off this stuff but I'm actually scared of how i will feel. Can anyone help? Advise me on the best way to do this...no matter how long it takes. I'm not worried about detoxing quickly, just want to detox! ## Hi Gypsy63, Usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. I would suggest setting up a time frame on a calendar as to how often and how much you decide to taper down your dose, until you feel comfortable going off of them comp...

I am a 32 year old mother of infant twins and a 3 year old with several chronic pain issues, and unfortunately also substance abuse issues. I would like to find a doctor who prescribes methadone for pain in the Middle to West Tennessee area because I feel like that would be the best possible solution for me. I believe I could take 20 to 30 mg daily and be pain free....I can't think of anything else I could take as small a dosage of and not hurt and/or have cravings all the time. Let's be honest here, if you are on chronic pain medication, your body has cravings on the short-term meds. If a doctor who prescribes them regularly says they aren't for me, then I will accept that. Unfortunately, I don't know of any doctors, and the people I know who ARE prescribed methadone gu...

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and a back injury from my service days. Both cause me a great deal of pain. Recently my doctor replaced my Hydroco/APA 10-325mg tab with Methadone 5mg tab. It seems to work better but I must take the methadone 3 x's a day rather than as needed with the Hydroco. ## The Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen would likely also have worked better if you took it regularly. While it can be taken as needed, all pain medications such as these actually work better for prevention, rather than stopping pain once it has set in. Learn more Methadone details here. Why did he switch your medication? ## My back injury was 40 years ago and no treatment has been effective yet. I have no desire for surgery so vaious shots, nerve burnouts and many pills have been tried. Why the methodone...

I've been on subs for 17 months.started on 16 mg and I'm down to 6. I have a problem at the clinic where I'm getting them prescribed. I have never failed a drug teat. However, they want me to go to their counselor every week and see the doctor every other week. This is a problem with my work schedule. It is hard enough getting out of work early every other week, let alone every week. So I made an appointment with the new doctor and have it today. Should u be honest and tell him I just came from another program? I would like to up my dose a little. I have been buying ALOT of extra(8mgs) and taking them on the side. I don't know why. My mind leads me to believe that I'm feeling better. MAIN PROBLEM--- I don't want to go to the new doc and him write.me a script and ...
