Middle/west Tennessee

I am a 32 year old mother of infant twins and a 3 year old with several chronic pain issues, and unfortunately also substance abuse issues. I would like to find a doctor who prescribes methadone for pain in the Middle to West Tennessee area because I feel like that would be the best possible solution for me. I believe I could take 20 to 30 mg daily and be pain free....I can't think of anything else I could take as small a dosage of and not hurt and/or have cravings all the time. Let's be honest here, if you are on chronic pain medication, your body has cravings on the short-term meds. If a doctor who prescribes them regularly says they aren't for me, then I will accept that. Unfortunately, I don't know of any doctors, and the people I know who ARE prescribed methadone guard the secret of their doctor's name like a jealous lover.........not sure why but whatever..........

I'm sorry that you are suffering, I hate to hear of anyone being miserable.

However, there is no listing of doctors that I can give you according to what they prescribe, there is no database like that.

Additionally, if you require such medications for long-term treatment of chronic pain, you will have to see a pain management specialist. Under the new laws, general practitioners and surgeons will only be allowed to prescribe them for short-term treatment, such as for a few weeks after someone has surgery or has been injured.
