i just moved to long island ny from florida and i was seeing a dr for methadone thought when i got here ide get a dr to perscribe it for me but i cant an im missing work do to withdrawls i have no friends or help up here if any one can point me in the correct way i would be in big time det john cavallo 516-{edited for privacy} ## Have you tried looking for a clinic? In some states, private doctors can only prescribe it strictly for pain treatments, because they aren't trained in its use for addiction and other conditions. ## Email me {edited for privacy}, I'm having the same problem too, but maybe can help.

Would I be able to pass a drug screen if I've been taking Methadone for 1 week and haven't taken any in 5 days? ## I highly doubt that you will pass a urine screen in 5 days of not taking methadone, I take it on a daily basis and I go to a DR. to get, I usually run out towards the end of the month but when I get drug screened at the doc I always test positive for it....And I have been without it 7 days before and still tested pos for it ## If I take 1 methedone 10 mg how long will it take for me to pass a urine drug test ## It will take atleast seven days before you will be clean because methadone has a long half-life. Postpone if possible.

Aside from my intro-I am experieced and willing 2 trade all for better lfe ## Help please I really need the prescriptio Methadone 10mg 350 a month they work foe pain is there anyway I can get them mailed to me. I have never used illegal drugs. I do have narcolepsy and severe degenerative disc disease. I take provigil 400 mg, nucynta er 400mg, oxycodone 15 mg 4x/day, buprobrion 150 er and 75 mg daily. I had a urine drug screen yesterday which showed positive for methadone and suboxone. They have sent it out for further testing. Did this happen because of the medications I am on or do these type of urine drug screens make a lot of mistakes like this? Will the more detailed test come back accurate?

Was taking 30-40 mg of Methadone per day for chronic,severe pain. Dr lost his controlled substance license and I was left "out in the cold" per se. Now..hurt so bad..quality of life is nil. Haven't ever Dr shopped so don't know what to do! My pain is from Scoliosis..Osteoporosis & fx of the back from the latter. ## Hs your doctor given you any referral suggestions? I woke up in WD and took a Subutex immideately. After about 45mins I still didn't feel too well, so I took another and feel much better now. Is this okay? I just read of people taking QUARTERS and it kinda freaked me out. Hah. Where can we buy Generic Subutex in UK? Please can anyone give me some names and address ## Subutex (and it's generic equivalent) are classified as controlled substances available by prescription only. So I think your best bet for obtaining it would simply be to get a script through your doctor. Suboxone may be another possible option if you're finding that Subutex is difficult to get a prescription for. I'm not sure why this is, but many people have stated that doctors are often reluctant to prescribe Subutex over Suboxone as a first consideration. Do you find this to be true in the UK?

I am 100% sure they are 8 mg subutex. I am prescribed these monthly. It's a generic version. My bottles say buprenorphine 8mg sl tabs. I have my first appt at a clinic to see if I can be put on subutex. My friend goes and he actually helped me by referring me so that I wouldn't have to wait 6 + months. He told me I need to test positive for opies, which is totally understandable. My question is, will they also test me for buprenoprhine? My friend helps me out by selling me some of his script cos he wants me to quit doing pills also, but I'm afraid it will show up on the ua. I have been taking approximately 6 mgs since Mon the 18th. I only took about 2-3 mgs this morning around 11 am (Sat the 23rd) and will try to do the same til Mon...(3 mgs on Sun am and 3 mgs on Mon am). Will it show up in a urine analysis and will that be a problem, cos I don't want to get my friend in trouble.

What do I expect? This is my recent and personal experience on Suboxone and withdrawals from pain pills. This just happened this week and I'm on day 4. On Wednesday, November 28th, 2012 I went to the doctor to get inducted for the suboxone treatment. My usage of opiates was only pain pills, hydrocodone, vicoden, lortabs, lorcets, etc. I used about 75-150 mgs a day for about 2 months straight. (on and off the pills for about 2 years) One week before my induction I tapered my pain pill use down to 30-45 mgs a day. This Tuesday (the day before my induction) I used 47.5 mgs at 3pm. I've been on suboxone for about 8 months. Starting dosage was 2 -8mg a day.after months I've tapered down to about .50-.30mg very very small piece and been on that for a month, it's not as bad but I'm still tired and get light heat flashes. Any thoughts on what I should do from here? ## Is your intention to fully get off of Suboxone anytime soon? If so, I think you're certainly on the right track. Usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. Based on the amount you're taking now, I'd say your just about out of the woods! Another user on here ...

What 25 states allow medicaid patients methadone to be paid for? Secondly, in which states are there nursing homes that take medicaid patients on methadone and will give the treatment? ## I know in california medi-cal (which is california's version of medicaid) pays for methadone treatment... ## @Vickie, I found a page that lists the states that offer medicaid coverage for Methadone, as well as some info on their policies. Hello I am on suboxone, and tested positive for benzos which I do not take BC there is a zero tolerance policy against them ... I am prescribed adderol neurotin Prozac and recently atarax ... Every single day of my life is a living hell. I wake at 3-3:30am. I am cold to my very core. I am nauseous. My head aches. My anxiety is such that thinking of living another day in this condition is intolerable and death is my favorite fantasy, it brings me the only hope I can imagine.
