I have worked in addiction treatment for several years with my area of expertise being medi...
I am currently on 1mg Suboxone and getting ready to stop taking altogether. What are the repercussions ? ## Hi paranah, How long were you on Suboxone for? And have you always been on a 1mg dosage? I know some people have mentioned on other threads that they had no problem stopping a 1mg dose, without withdrawals; yet in other cases, long term patients have still had withdrawal issues even past the 0.5mg mark. Whereas they found themselves having to taper down to .25 mg for about a week before being able to stop completely. Everyone's different though, so you may just need to contact your doctor regarding a tapering schedule if you feel like you need additional assistance. Many people going through withdrawals also find that exercise is a big factor as far as keeping their mood eleva...

I go to both doctrs evry two wks on same week. I came up positive twice for cocaine (high levels) on swab test. Im at a loss why this is happening. Im not usingl the only thing i can think of is i had a very old bottle of liquid orajel and was putting it on a q tip and leaving it on the bad tooth for long periods of time and i used quite a bit of it. Updated in SuboxoneHi Iam a seizure patient & I also take methadone for chronic pain, but I have realized that it is taking the methadone out of my body, I want to know if there are any seizure meds that do not block Methadone Thank you Cindy I take phenabarbatol for seizures ## ok let me refrase my question for some feed back Iam a seizure patient & I take phenabarbatol for the seizures. I also take methadone for chronic pain. I have dicorvered that the phenabarb is removing the methadone from my body, & it is making for me to have to be on very large amounts of methadone. Or the methadone does not work. I have been looking for a medication to replace the phenabarb, so I dont have to be on such large doses of methadone. does anyone out there know of a medication, or is in the same shape I am ...

Updated in SuboxoneMarch 3 2013 I can't find Methadone anywhere in Jacksonville FL. I've searched for five days and have called dozens of pharmacies and visited several that would not tell me over phone ## Unfortunately, the ones that did tell you over the phone likely weren't being honest, anyway. It is far too dangerous to tell anyone if they do have it in stock, due to the high risk of theft of narcotics, so they will usually just tell you that they don't have it, or don't carry it. They have no way of knowing if the person on the phone is a legitimate customer with a prescription or not, so they only way to get an actual correct answer is by visiting the pharmacies in person, with the prescription in hand. And there are some crazy problems going on all over the east coast right now...
Copper deficiency is causing aneurysms, herniated discs, hemorrhoids, high cholesterol, and emphysema, and these diseases are among the most destructive, painful, and numerous diseases in our society. Slipped or herniated discs are estimated to cost 200 billion dollars directly and indirectly each year in the USA alone [futuremedicine.com/doi/pdf/10.2217/14750708.4.1.51]. Four to six of 100 Americans autopsied died of a ruptured aneurysm. 3.6 to 6 percent of those examined had non ruptured brain aneurysms [Renkel]. Each year, 16,000 Americans die due to a ruptured aortic aneurysm. Of the 200,000 strokes that occur each year in the USA, 20% are aneurysms in the brain. I suspect that copper deficiency status is the most important parameter affecting them. For instance, aneurysms are produ...
Updated in MethadoneHi, I was taking 40-100 mg of Percocet a day- I weaned off and took about 10-40 mg of hydrocodone a day. I was feeling sick and got 10 mg methadone pills. I took 20 mg the first night-I did get a euphoric feeling and woke up with a terrible headache. I took 15 mg of methadone last night to continue taper going down to 1 10 mg of methadone tonight and 5 mg tomorrow, and hoping I won't feel withdrawal but my head hurts so bad-it feels as if it is going to combust. I can barely text this. Am I going to feel worse or better? My body aches all over as well. Did I overdose myself? Is this normal??? ## Hi DMM, you may be going through some withdrawals with some of your symptoms. It's difficult to detox yourself off opiates without medical intervention. The professionals know how much m...
I've had PTSD for 2 years and severe anxiety most of my life. It seems to be getting worse. I've been on Suboxone for 11 months and will be out of the program within 8 months. I'm in Ky. Lately, probably for the last year, the anxiety has turned into something else I can't even begin to manage. I'm having paranoid thoughts that people are going to kill me. The only place I feel safe is at home when the house is full of people. I can't go to the store anymore because I have this strong feeling that any body there could "get" me. I'm crying right now typing this because I feel so helpless. I KNOW its stupid and no one is really going to get me, but the feeling is so strong when it comes that I just freak out and think I'm having a heart attack or a ...
I'm on suboxone and I had 2 glasses of wine yesterday. ( Saturday) I have a drug test on Tuesday. Will the wine be out of my system by then? I don't drink hardly at all but I went to a wedding and just felt like having 2 glasses. My doctor doesn't only test me for drugs but he sends my urine test out to check my levels of suboxone. Just to make sure I'm taking the correct amount. He tests for EVERY THING. Please, someone let me know if I'll be ok.
Updated in SuboxoneI took 4 mg of a D at 11:00 am and took my last Vicodin 5/325 at 5:00 pm. How long should I wait to take 2 mg of Suboxone tomorrow? I usually start feeling mild withdrawals at 4 am. Please help. ## There is no precise time frame that can be given, you have to be in full withdrawals from everything, before you can take it, otherwise the Naloxone in it can throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Did your doctor provide any instructions?
Currently on 60 mg's of methadone. Just diagnosed with epilepsy. 60 mg was just fine prior to the new meds. Then I started the worst withdrawal symptoms. The dr. says that some people just take a while to get use to the new medication. The biggest and worst being Dilantin (300mg) morning and (300mg) at night. After 3 days of hell I paid for my own peak and trough. The trough was less than 20ng/ml. 4 hours the peak came in at less than 20ng/ml again. The doctors were absolutely baffled. They really only said all I can do is up my methadone which would defeat everything I have worked for. Any suggestions or does any of this make sense ## I am very sorry about what you're going through, but I can explain it for you… Dilantin contains the active ingredient Phenytoin and it dec...
I have been on methadone for several years. It seems everyone is carrying the round white tabs. These fall apart if you try to cut them which I did as I try to limit amounts. I am new to the area so I need a pharmacy that still carries the original 10mg white oblong methadone. there does seem to be a difference in the affectiveness and side affects too ## Hello, Kileen! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of pharmacies that carry a medication from any given manufacturer. Have you tried getting an actual pill cutter? That should help prevent them from crumbling. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## yes I use a brand new pill cutter and it ...
Hi there, I've been looking online for information on how to get off the butrans patch (5mg) I have been on now for about 3 years. I was placed on this due to a spinal infection and the lingering affects due to nerves thereof - a general diagnosis has been possible lyme/west nile - whatever it is/was - I am still (4 yrs. later numb from the knees down - numbness is intermittent and moves about from knees down to feet). Still on a walker as whatever this was took out my left leg in particular however my right leg is fine. It's been a trip - but I'll beat it - darn if I won't. All said, though and back to topic - has anyone any suggestions on how to "get off" this butran's patch - the lowest dose ? Can I just take the darn thing off and ride it out or is this d...
No energy at all. Any advice ## Suboxone does contain a very potent narcotic, so stopping it can also cause some withdrawal symptoms, even though it's used to treat addiction, so feeling run down and lacking in energy is to be expected. How long were you taking it? The length of your withdrawals will likely depend on that.
I went to a doctor in lincoln park mi. on ft. st. for my suboxone, but forgot the name or phone number ## I found several listings for doctor's on Fort Street, here are the names and contact information, perhaps you'll recognize one of them. Hi. I live in Michigan. I've been on methadone for about twelve years, clean for about nine years. I've been at my current clinic for seven years. I'm on biweekly take homes, but I could have monthly any time I choose to switch. My UA has been clean those seven years. Lately I've been sick sooner. I have not taken any drugs, just my met. The last time I mentioned raising my dose I was told that my take homes would be taken away because if you raise your dose it shows you are not stable. Is this something a clinic can do? I haven't found much literature on this topic and I know that federal and state regs are different. Any legitimate info or direction would be appreciated. Thank you! ## They are all under certain federal regulations, regardless of what state they are...
Someone please helpsince I started taking them I have felt like sometimes I can not see ## Hello, Mariah! How are you? I am not aware of it causing such a problem, but I'd suggest having this checked out by your doctor to be certain. Do you have any medical conditions? Do you take any other medications? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Help me find a doctor in st.clair or Macomb county to prescribe methadone. I can not take suboxen, hate it, but no methadone clinics by me ## Hi Peachy! If you need methadone for addiction issues you will have to go to a clinic. It's against the law for doctors to prescribe methadone to patients who have addictions. They can only prescibe it for pain. If you can't take suboxone, ask your doctor about subutex. It has buprenorphine in it but not naloxone.
