I Was Placed On Suboxone Twice A Day 8mg 2mg After 4 Hospital Opiate Detox In February2014 Am Now Down To 1 Of 5mg Strip. I have had five horrible nights of tossing, turning, hot bath. I don't want to increase the Sub as every decrease has been an improvement. I took a Flexeril, then took an herbal (Valerian root/Formula 303), with no change. Any suggestions to help me sleep tonight? I'm a zombie!! ## Hello, Sula! How are you? This will most likely start to improve on its own after a few more days. Your body is just trying to adjust to the dosage change and it takes a little time for it to rebalance things. I understand that it's annoying, I am well aware of how bad it can be, since I went cold turkey off high doses of narcotics after being in pain management. Since you'...
I was taking suboxone for the past 3-4 years after being addicted to lortabs for nearly 7 years. I was only taking on average 2 1/2 - 3 a day, some days up to 8 some days down to 1 depending on the supply in town. It was hell waking up everyday having to take pills to be normal. I discovered suboxone from a friend and got really sick taking my first one (it was only a 1/3 of one). I discovered that if I cut it into strips of about 1/8" long that was plenty enough to function. One sub would last about a week. I was way cheaper to buy this than Iortabs and I functioned 10x better. I recently decided I would taper down even less and attempt to quit all together. I'm on day 4 with no subs and have excruciating pains in my legs and diarrhea. My friend has given me ultram to halfway h...
Ive been using Methadone for chronic pain for over 7 years. I went through the full gambit of Opioid medication and always got to the point of abuse to function. After 11 surgeries and 2 full knee replacements I'm at the end of my rope. The cost for trying to feel like moving every day has become too expensive. I need to find an alternative. If I say things like this to a M.D.. he'd make me see a PHD and that would be on going and more expensive. Please help me find an alternative. ## Hello, Bill! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. However, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you will need to see a specialist to have such medications prescribed. A PCP is no longer allowed to prescribe them on a long-term ongoing basis. This is a nar...

Are they really suboxone??? ## Hello, Brandi! How are you? I'm sorry, but what is the marking on the other side, is it a question mark? There are some that are round, white and have an arrow on the opposite side. They are 8mg tablets. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Can u take saphris 5mg with subutex 8 mg ## I didn't find any interactions listed between these two medications, but you should double check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain of the safety of taking them both. Learn more Subutex details here. Learn more Saphris details here. The main problem that I can see that may occur is due to the fact that they both cause some depression of the central nervous system, so taking them both can intensive those effects. Thus, you should know to watch for any possible danger signs, such as extreme somnolence, dizziness, lowered heart rate and low blood pressure. Have they both been prescribed for you? ## Can you please answer something for me? Ok I have been taking subutex since I have ran out of my pain meds which is opana 10mg IR. I hav...

I have been prescribed methadone 10mg 360 tabs a month for chronic nerve damage in my back and right leg. Ive been prescribed methadone for 4years by the same doctor. Just this month my Dr has been ill and has canceled all appts. What should i do? Do you know of any drs. In northeast Ohio that would be able to help or what steps should i take? ## Hi Tod, How are you? Sorry to hear about your situation with the doc being ill and out. Does he not have any backup physicians to take his place while he is away from the office? I would probably talk to the receptionist there just to be sure on that... because they may be able to get you in to see another doctor temporarily just to help keep things in order. And if he treats other pain patients, I'm sure you wouldn't be the first one t...

If you require it for pain management, then you'll need to see a pain management specialist. Can anyone suggest a good doctor or clinic in NJ?
I found a small Amber colored bottle with a very small amount of water in it with a small white pill, what would this be? ## It might be Methadone, some clinics dose that way, they dissolve the tablets in water and usually in bottles just like the one you've described. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I can't be certain, of course, so this is just a guess. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Some people posting have been looking for a very long time and are suffering because they don't have their medications. Learn more Methadone details here. I live in the lancaster pa area and in dire need of a dr who will perscribe methadone, does anyone know of any dr close to lancaster pa ## Hello, Lanieanne! How are you? If you are in need of addiction/maintenance treatment, then a clinic is your only option. However, if you need it for pain, then due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? That would likely be the easiest way of getting into a pain specialist, if that's what you need. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area?
I've been on hydrocarbon since accident resulting in botched back surgery in New Orleans (after Katrina) moved to Ash Flat suboxone Arkansas. Need a doc who prescribes suboxone for chronic pain. ## Hello, CajunConnie! How are you? There is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. Most will also not want you to jump from Hydrocodone straight to Suboxone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone for pain management? If so, that might be the easiest way to find the help you need. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area?
I have been on suboxone for 6 months due to the decision to get off percocets. In the last 5 days I have had 2 major surgeries but my sub script doesnt expire till tues and my sub doctor told me to use the pain meds the surgeons gave me then the day before the operation he changed his mind. I am in extreme pain. In Massachusetts do u think I can fill the percs on tuesday? I am bleeding and in terribke pain ## I think I might be a bit confused, Michelle. I'm assuming the Dr prescribing the Suboxone is a pain management specialist. Is that correct? And the Suboxone is prescribed to ease your dependence on Percocet, correct? And you have a legit written prescription from the Suboxone Dr, but the Suboxone Dr has told you NOT to fill his/her script and to only take what your surgeon pres...
I am on pain management and take oxycodone 10s and 30s i took a suboxone 8 for 2 days and ran out how long am i gonna start to crash before i can take some methadone pills friend gave to me to hold me till my next script refill ...out of meds is my problem! had a ruff month and took more then i had to! ## Hello, CtJake! How are you doing? All of the medications you've mentioned carry the risk of being habit forming, since they are all narcotics, so you really need to be careful about taking more than prescribed and then adding in others that haven't been prescribed for you. I also do not have an answer for you on when you can take the Methadone, generally the doctors that prescribe Suboxone have been specially trained in its use and would advise someone on that. The calculations...
Eight days ago I quit Suboxone. I have not taken any at all for 7 days and on the 7th day I had such high anxiety that I folded and ended up taking 2 mg of Suboxone. I know STUPID! Anyway all of the bad symptoms were pretty much gone, just bad anxiety. Does this mean I am gonna start my withdrawal all over? I was only taking 2 mg a day for 6 months! ## Hello, HorseLover! How are you? You may experience some more withdrawal symptoms, but likely not as bad, since you only took one dose. Have you consulted your doctor? They may be able to prescribe something you can take for the anxiety, while stopping it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
