Anyway, when I went to get my script filled I could only afford to get a few bcuz of the price. I went back the nxt day and got a few more while I had the money. Well the next time I went the pharmacist told me that it was "new" policy that I have to fill the rest all at once instead of a few at a time. I told them about my new situation and being switched over from subutex and how i was not prepared for how expensive suboxone was gonna be and they let me fill half of what i had left to get and I told them I would get the rest friday when I got paid. Well I was talking to my mother about it and she said she would give me the rest of the money to get the rest the nex...
Could any one tell me if there is a law that says a Dr. Cannot prescribe suboxine and benzodiazapines ## Hello, Mary! How are you? No, there is not. There are directives that were issued by the DEA telling them to be very careful, when doing so and some doctors treating for addiction with Suboxone just don't want to prescribe it, but there is no law saying they definitively can't prescribe them together. In the past on here, I had erroneously used the term regulation, when referring to the directives from the DEA, but that really wasn't the correct term. These things aren't set as law, just suggestions for the doctors, to tell try to help stem the flow of abuse, diversion and improper prescribing. Some doctors also prefer that the patient see an appropriate specialist fo...
I can't find a dr taking patients is there a way to get suboxen prescribed in line or something ## Hello, Chaz! How are you? I'm sorry, but no, that would be illegal. Since this is a controlled substance, law requires that you are physically seen and evaluated by a doctor to have it prescribed. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction. It has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you tried using the search engine on the Suboxone website? It lets you search by zip code. Suboxone.com Click here.
This medicine used to work well for me but I could not stop my consumption of cannabis. My doctor forced my hand into going to this wackadoo place called Best Drug Rehab up in Mich. Long story short I got out of rehab and started taking opiates for about four days, then got back on a high dose of zubsolv and it's not working. It's not doing what it used to. I am a little pissed but also i am grateful that im not dope sick. Maybe this could help me move on with my life. 8 years of active addiction will really take it out of you. ## Hello, John! How are you? Cannabis actually isn't addictive and there is no treatment to help someone stop using it, other than possibly life style changes. What dose of the Zubsolv are you currently taking and how much of the opiates were you taki...
If my friend took 2 klodipens after doing suboxon will it make them sick ## No, Suboxone doesn't block the action of benzodiazepines, nor should it cause precipitated withdrawals. It only blocks other narcotics. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Klonopin can also be habit forming, so if they're in treatment for drug addiction, they shouldn't take it, unless their doctor approves. It may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?
Hi my name is RADAMES and I'm detoxing soboxon ..I was trying to change my life and counted on the med to stop using drugs but now that my life has changed I decided to stop using soboxon ..went into a five day detox witch I was detoxed with methadone but now that I'm going on my fourth day home,,I still feel bad withdraws..I want to know what over the counter meds I could take that will help with the withdraws?? ## Hello, Radames! How are you? There isn't really anything over the counter that will help much. The issue here is that Methadone is actually much harder to stop and causes more severe withdrawal effects than Suboxone. Thus, doing a taper from the Suboxone would likely have been a lot easier. The FDA classifies these medications as opiates that are most commonly us...
I just started taking suboxone about a week and a half ago and meant to ask my doctor what to expect from symptoms and forgot. im experiencing extreme sleepiness, fatigue, body aches, and my mood can flip on a dime and im not even taking as much as he told me to...he told me to take 16mgs a day and im only taking either 8mgs or 12mgs a day, so my question is am i suppose to be experiencing all of this in the beginning or should i call my doctor? ## Hello, Jessica! How are you? Suboxone does contain an opiate, so yes, it can cause side effects that fast. The FDA lists its other side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. However, they should start to improve, after about 4 weeks, or so, once your body gets used to the medication. Is there a...
Found a dozen round orange pills marked AN 412 in my 15 year olds desk. What are they ? ## Hello, David! How are you? Is the marking possibly AN 415? Can you please double check? If so, this tablet is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and they list as being an 8/2mg Suboxone tablet. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Looking for a pain management dr that is willing to prescribe medications for degenerative disc disease. Within 100-150 miles of Ocean City MD. ## I am looking for a minnesota pain physician that will agree to listen to what works for my pain and doesn't make me feel like i am being judged and questioned about my pain. i need a dr willing to prescribe methadone at a low dose to control addictive issues and long term pain, and oxycodone 15 mg 6-8 a day together, without making me get off the methadone liquid that i am taking. i plan to go back to a good pain dr and hopefully explain that after certain amount of methadone is administered other pain meds wont work for my pain unless at higher than normal doses of oxycodone, with low dose methadone and added oxycodone quick release for ...
HEY DOES ANYBODY KNOW ANY PAIN PATCHES THAT START WITH THE LETTER N ## Hi Wormie, Based on my research, Norspan patch (buprenorphine) is the only relevant match I'm finding that begins with a letter N. The manufacturer advertises it towards treating chronic severe pain when lower doses of strong opioids are being considered. However, further notes from the Rational Assessment of Drugs and Research (RADAR) suggest that more familiar opioids such as morphine are generally more preferred for managing chronic pain since they also tend to offer a broader range of dosages and formulations. I hope this helps!
HelloI am going to a methadone maintance. Clinic but I am no to pay the monthly fee I am in need of a doc to help me that will accept my insurance it is wah I would ## Hello, Dedrie! How are you? I'm sorry, but under current law, a clinic is your only option. A private practice doctor is not allowed to prescribe it for addiction or maintenance treatment. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
Hi i live in the state of Texas and i have been on Suboxene for 18 months. My doctor is 90 minutes away so they really work with me and i only actually have to go see him every 4 months. Well, i get 60 of the 8 mg strips a month and im prescribed 2 a day, but i have been tapering down because i cannot afford the 275.00 doctor fee every month. I just made a month script last me 2 months. I've never failed a drug panel, always paid them on time. Well, I ran out of my suboxene 4 days ago and its not even my fault because my doctor office is so busy they cant see me until monday. So i nicely asked the doctor assistant to call me in a few until they can see me because im starting to feel really bad and she has done it for me before, but now that there's a female Doctor instead of a m...
I've been taking methadone for 10 years, I recently ran out of my prescription. Is it safe to take subutex or will it send me into withdrawals? ## Hello, Lucy! How are you? You have to be in full withdrawals, before taking the Subutex. It contains the opiate Buprenorphine and it tends to cling to the opiate receptors very strongly and will displace most others, throwing you into precipitated withdrawals, which can be dangerous. The FDA warns that this medication may be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I've been on Subutex since April 8th - lowered from 8 yrs on Methadone in a week - last 6 yrs I was on 300 mgs of Methadone a day - went 3 days with nothing then started Subutex. Pill wouldn't dissolve so I swallowed approximately the last 1/4 of the mushed up pill - did the same 45 mins later. When into precipitated withdrawal, blood pressure (when fire dept finally found it after 4 trys) was 60/70, blood ox was 72, went hypothermic, convulsions and vomiting set in - EMT came and said there was no point going to hospital because they couldn't do anything to help - he was a total prick and told me if I made better life choices this wouldn't happen again - fireman snatched him up by his neck and told him to leave and he would take me if I wanted to go - it was a horrible ...
So I'm hoping someone here can help me, I was addicted to percocet after several knee surgeries and knew that I was dependant, I couldn't afford to get sick from wd as I work a very demanding FT job and take care of a home, 3 kids, husband.. Hands are full.. Anyhow, I went to see a suboxone doctor after hearing this would be a great way to avoid the deathly wd symptoms.. This has been the most shameful, humiliating and degrading clinic experience ever... Not sure if anyone has been to ontario canada and have had to go through the clinics here.. Let me start, first apt, walk in and clinic full of street ppl, serious drug abusers mostly dependant on methadone and then trying to sell it right outside the clinic amungst other things, totally intimidating for someone like me that has...
I love subutex but can't get is this a popular drug like suboxton ## Hello, Kat! How are you? While both are commonly used to treat drug addiction, Subutex only contains the opiate Buprenorphine. However, Suboxone couples Buprenorphine with Naloxone, to neutralize other narcotics and help prevent their abuse, while someone is being treated with it. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Suboxone is the preferred drug for treatment, unless someone is pregnant, or allergic to the Naloxone. Is there anything else I can help with?
Hi all, I just made the switch from Methadone to Suboxone! YES! I went through hell to get here but I did it. Anyway, I'm on day 3 of suboxone and I'm at 16mg. My question is should I take two 8mg strips in the morning or one in the morning and one in the afternoon? Any input would help. Btw, this is the ONLY forum I've found that is updated! ## It is generally given in a single daily dose, though splitting it up may work better for you and can be done, if your doctor approves. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I take Suboxen everyday and have to take a blood toxicology drug test? Will it show up? If so, how long should I wait before I take the test to have it come out clean? ## There are blood tests that can detect it, but at this time the Buprenorphine in Suboxone is still too new and there are no time levels known for how long it may be detectable in a blood sample. Learn more Suboxone details here. If you are taking it by legal prescription, then you just need to inform them of that, when you go in for testing. Does anyone else have an idea of how long it's detectable in blood? ## is there a way to find out if the test I will take will show it? ## I took a urine drug test and it showed up twice and I do not take suboxin Went to my Med. Doc and wanted a blood panel. He said it only is d...
My husband lost his pain doctor. He is in such severe foot pain due to a spinal injury he can barely walk any more. Methadone was the only medication he could function on and not be almost bedfast. He has been on other meds that do not help. The doctor who performed his last surgery can not pinpoint where the pain is coming from and will not operate. We are desperate.
Updated in Methadonei was getting Orange suboxone I was down to a quarter of a pill although my doc thought I was taking half 2 a whole (I wanna get off he doesn't want me 2 so I didn't say I lowered myself)then all of a sudden I get switched to these peach/pink whatever you wanna call them pills next thing I know I'm back to taking half to a whole, found some of my old orange started taking half&i was fine just not happy cas I was down to a quarter before these peach/pink ones which I had to go back 2 cas that's what I have,I think they are weaker. I do not find the new Roxane peachy pink tablets of suboxone to be as strong as the orange,I felt a little off,had anxiety and was even a little extra depressed. It sucks because I basically went back up on the suboxone when I would like to g...
