I have been on methadone for 7 years now. Up until I started taking it I had perfect teeth, never even a cavity, and rarely went to the dentist. Now for the past 4 years my teeth have started breaking, getting cavities at the gum line, and severe tooth aches. My dentist seems to think I have an eating disorder and that is why my teeth are the way they are. Any one else have this problem with methadone? ## This can actually happen with many medications, especially narcotics. So now it is a conspiracy in the Tri-Cities to make it just as hard as they can on bupe patients. I took my monthly rx to the pharmacy I have been doing business with for over two years. I was given a new manufactued bup, 8mg, and it makes me sick. I called them, day 3 of new rx still making me sick, and was told that the manufacturer of the one I've been taking for two years, Roxanne, doubled their price. They have them, but the price is double. I expect my physicians fee to go up to. I guess in their little meeting down town, the powers that be said "okay doctor. we'll do it your way. WE are all trying to kick that nasty opiate addiction. We are killing ourselves w oxy, H, etc. But all my online research shows that longterm sub use is HELL ON EARTH! Its great for 4-5 days to wd. Id like to use it twice a week, for maintenance, which hopefully i can do. But it has crazy side effects and wd is almost impossible. Im trying exercise, nutrition, and Church. Wish me luck! But if anyone can avoid this, plz do. Same with any benzodiazepines like valium and xanax, HELL TO GET OFF OF, if u even can. Sub can b used at times. But never daily! Just sharing. God bless! Hi, I have been on 90mg of methadone for about 5 years for chronic and many pain issues, my dr has retired and my current dr does not want to keep me on my meds. I have used subs for years, but I don't have a prescription. I have been buying them through other means for almost 3 yrs now. I got pregnant in June of 2014 and tried weaning myself off. I got down to less than 1 mg a day and went into labor early. The baby didn't test positive for subs, but in the er I did. That caused family services to get involved. The baby is fine. I came off them completely when this happened. I was scared to death of losing my baby. She is now 4 months old and they finally followed up and came to my home and told me I had to drug test. So I'm on sub for pain management. I started it August 2013. I was on upwards of 720 30mg IR morphine and oxycodone with no abuse issues, but most certainly my body was dependent and I felt like the pills were causing more pain than not. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis that started in August of 2009, and so far nothing to treat RA has worked for me. So I entered pain management for chronic pain. Anyway, knowing my body was fully dependent I wanted to w/d in a safe environment away from home and chose a clinic near Boulder, CO. I have been using 1 mg of suboxone once in the late morning for the past 3-4 days while waiting for a refill on my 30mg morphine tabs. I took a dose of the suboxone around 10:38 this morning, so the question is: will I be okay to take a dose of my morphine around 6:30 this evening? It will have been about 8 hours. ## Hello, Sasha! I have been dismissed from my practice in Reidsville BC who prescribe me Suboxone for pain relief because I was "excessively demanding" and because I "cussed" at an employee, which isn't true. I had been suffering from left hip pain which is my good hip (shattered pelvis in 2003) starting the second week in May. I had told my office about it multiple times but I had been pushed off to their PA which was unable to do anything all I was asking for was a MRI and a injection. A friend gave me 4 small white tablets about the same dimensions as a 10mg blue vallium maybe bit bigger he told me they were mogadon. So I took them stupidly without looking properly at them. I'm sure they had the line to snap them. I don't usually take vallium as don't like fuzzy head next day but I do take 1or2 once in six months to 2 years just for a wee glow and good sleep. Hello everyone! I'm on 30mg of methadone a day for pain. I recently became sick with a stomach flu. That day I threw up my pills. I waited until I felt better and took them again. The thing is my doctor sends out my urine to a lab to check my levels to make sure I'm taking the correct amount. I'm worried that perhaps some was absorbed the day I got sick. If I skip a day of taking my methadone will that balance out for the day I was sick and took the extras? Please help if anyone knows. I'm a model patient and don't want to get kicked off the meds. Any advice will help.

I'm in A LOT of pain. I smashed my toe this morning...the subs, which I've been on for 2 weeks to get of 35 mgs of Methadone, are not helping to relieve the pain. I am looking for a doctor in and around the Pennington Gap area or within 100 miles for pain management who will treat me with suboxone as I have tried other pain medicines which just leads to more problems. I have been in addiction treatment with this medication for two years now and has gave me my life back. It is not the best pain medication but I can function and not feel drugged up by it and can live a normal life the best it can be. Need any information on what Doctors prescribe methadone.. ## Hello, Tony! How are you? If you require it for addiction/maintenance, then your only option is a clinic. A private practice doctor isn't allowed to prescribe it for that. However, if you require it for pain, then any doctor can prescribe, but most will be reluctant to do so, due to it's highly addictive tendencies. I'm on 8ml suboxone a day and today is day 4 off of them. I get drug tested in two days to see if i had quit but the truth is i was having a hard time after my prescription ran out so i've still been taking them...so i have a lot at stake if it comes up still. I have been on suboxone..8 years...and got put on oxys 2 15 mg every four hours..due to back pain..well i was up soon as oxys wore off in withdrawal..oxys I use to love em.I am 37 and have done it all methadone..cold turkey even swallowing 5 norcos at once to get a xmas tree with my daughter..didnt touch methadone wd..I did soboxone cold turkey..not fun..but I last 2 weeks have know taking oxys cause i felt w.d..i believe subs remain in ur system for a long time.My doc wont let me try the pills of suboxone..but prescribes me oxys??well last night swallowed 2 15 oxys gave the rest for someone to hang on to and said dont let me have them no matter what..I took em at 8 pm and got high after 2 weeks..first time in weeks had that happy itchy feeling thought twice do i really wanna give these...
