In 21 days I went down from 165 to 30 mg a day. This past Wednesday I took my last 30 mg. I'm waiting for insurance approval to pay for my Suboxone. It's been 5 days and I feel like hell. Can I take a little Methadone (10 mg)? I will get my Suboxone tomorrow. I haven't slept 4 hours in the last 3 days. I'm feeling really bad. Any advice please? ## Hello, Rob! How are you? i dont take suboxone on a regular basis. i took a quater of subxone today when can i tak e my pain medication ## Generally, unless your doctor instructs otherwise, you have to wait about 72 hours. i got my 8mg suboxone strips and they are about 3/4 of the size as usual. it looked almost like someone cut them in half. did i get the wrong meds??? ## Where did you get them, from a pharmacy or treatment clinic? I am looking for a doc that will prescribe methadone in macomb co mi. I have been on all kinds of opiates for going on 12 years. I have tons of records. All started with two herniated discs and a failed surgery, etc. I am legit, work, kids, have a good life, but am having trouble finding an understanding doc that will write methadone and a breakthrough med. Been on suboxane for over 4 yrs to get off 30mgs of oxcodone! Subs have helped but I want off them but scared of the withdrawals! Need surgery and said I have to stop the subs to get surgery! I have been in roxi obtain 30mg and now I've bumped down to 15mg and recently moved to Las Vegas and I'm having a hard time finding a pharmacy that will fill my prescription for 120 15mg roxys and only 60 methadone. I am a current opiate dependent. 62mg of methadone maintenance/day. I have been only wishing to get off of this stuff, just as everyone else. I am feeling very hopeful. Just a month ago, I asked my doc to give me adderall for my ADHD. I was diagnosed with this as a child and used to take adderall long ago and thru my 20's and no abuse. I have not taken adderall for about 10 yrs now. So, I begin taking it. The day I got my script, I forgot to take my methadone take home that morning and it was now 5pm and just taking my 30mg adderall. Within the hour I feel energized. I have been going to the methadone clinic for a year and I have never failed a drug test. The last drug test I took came up postitive for hydrocodone. I haven't took anything besides methadone and clonidine. I could only pee a little bit for the drug test. Could only having a small amount of urine cause a false positive? I've been taking per 30's. (Not proud) I took 8 mg suboxone 2 days in a row last dose 31 hrs ago. Will I feel full effects off 100 mg methadone. I usually take that once a week. Don't want it to be a waste. ## Hi Jewel, Because everyone's individual wait period tends to vary based on a variety of different factors, I would encourage you to contact your prescribing doctor about this; especially since s/he should've voluntarily provided you with this information upon prescribing the methadone. Just to add though, my findings suggest that 72hrs seems to be a commonly agreed upon window of time for waiting in between taking suboxone and methadone, in order to feel its full effects. I have been seeing a doc in Ft. Wayne, IN for a year and a half. His nurse called yesterday to say, He is no longer doing the narcotics side of business, one week before my monthly script is written. I have a crooked tail bone that sends pain down my leg. This drug has worked tremendously.
