I have been off suboxone for 2 months. When I go see a pain doctor and they check and find out I use to be on the suboxone, they wont give me anything for the pain. I lost both my leg's 4 years ago but I'm walking now, it hurts like hell. I live in DENTON texas. If any one knows of a pain management doctor that is understanding please let me know. I do not care if he does not take insurance. PLEASE LET ME KNOW. DALLAS is fine too.

After 18 years of filling my methadone prescription in Sevierville, TN., I can no longer find a pharmacy that will fill it because my Doctor is in another city than where I live. Does anyone know of a pharmacy in Knoxville, TN or Sevierville that will fill it? ## I'm sure you've probably got it figured out by now or at least I hope you have but just for future reference a friend I used to hang with goes to a pain clinic in Knoxville and he always gets his methadone filled at a Food City in Newport. ## What was the reason they used to not fill it anymore? Especially after 18 years!

I have been struggling with getting clean on and off for years. I take methadone and missed 2 days so on the 2nd day i took a dose. This can't b more than like 1/4 gram, if even that. 2 days later i had a saliva test. I hadn't used for weeks b4 that. I had looked everywhere 4 those mouthwashes that were suppose 2 work. I cldnt find any. I brushed my whole mouth over and over and over and used about a 1/2 btl of the medium sized listerine to rinse my mouth about 4x b4 going in. I also tried hard not 2 get the swab thing wet really. That was 5days ago I shld b finding out any day now...I'm so nervous. I can't change it am I ok? ## Only about two days. Saliva tests are not very accurate. ## Thank u. I will know prbly 2day or tmrw...will post it. That's y hindsight is 20...

I took one 8mg/2mg sublingual suboxone strip yesterday, breaking it up into quarters. I took the last quarter of the strip around midnight. Will it still be a full 72 hours before 50mg morphine will effect me? ## Yes, otherwise the Naloxone will block the effects of the Morphine. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I really appreciate your reply, but found it to not really be true. . After 24 hours, the morphine worked just fine.

I have been taking opiates everyday. Yesterday I decided to start suboxone to detox at home. I took 12mg of suboxone too soon and went into severe withdrawal. I had to take more opiates to make symptoms subside. I've taken nothing for 22 hours now. IS IT SAFE TO TAKE SUBOXONE NOW? ## Hello, Shannon! How are you? No, you need to be in full withdrawal, before taking Suboxone, or it will keep throwing you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Hello. I am new to this but I came here looking for help. My mother has been using suboxone now for 5 years. She was addicted to pain pills for years and years prior to using suboxone. I'm very concerned because she looks more zonked and out of in now than her worst days using drugs. She falls asleep constantly over counters, falls every night because she's constantly falling asleep while standing up. Please help educate me. She says this is normal and she just has a sleeping disorder. She's on 32mg suboxone/day. 5 years on it now. Do you guys experience this? IS she on too much? Why is the doctor prescribing her so much. She can't even function. ## Hello, Dee! How are you? That is the highest recommend dosage, but only her doctor can decide if it's right for your mo...

I have been taking suboxone for a week, only 8 mg a day, but over 24 hours ago i only took a half of a 8 mg strip, will I be able to feel pain mess now. It's been 28 hrs since i took half strip. ## @Akc, Due to buprenorphine's long half life of 24 - 60 hours (as reported by samhsa.gov), I would probably encourage you to wait a little longer in-between stopping suboxone and starting narcotic pain meds in order to get the most out of them. If still in doubt you could also take a drug panel to gauge how much suboxone is left in your body. But that might be more trouble than it's worth v.s. just waiting it out for an extra day or two. I hope this helps! Please post back if you're able to update us on how things went.

My Suboxone Strips are straight from the pharmacy so they have never been opened but they are "alot smaller" now and Iam mad but I dont know how to ask Suboxone manufacturers..my pharmacy would think I'm crazy probably so any thoughts? ## It just depends on what fillers and excipients they use in them, there is no specific size that they must be, as long as they contain the full dose they are supposed to. The size itself really means nothing. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Why did you go all pharmacy tech on us at the end there? Not helpful at all! In fact you didn't really have anything usefu...

Hi ! I was addicted to opiates for three years due to several work comp surgeries, I chose to use methadone to get off the pills ,now it was been a year since I started the methadone and I am ready to titrate down and just get away from it all!! Can anybody tell me what I am going to feel lIke, will I have withdrawal symptoms the whole time?? I take 100m a day, I'm a little scared of how I'm gonna feel, can somebody help??? ## It is very hard to say. Methadone is known to create severe withdrawal symptoms, that's why most people never actually get off of it and end up on a lifetime maintenance dose. Thus, any attempted tapering off of it must be done very, very slowly and can take a good period of time. Have you considered getting medical assistance? ## Yes I get it through ...

Please help, keep getting different answers! ## I'm curious about this to I take suboxone & wanna konw if I can take diluadid... ## Can you give a little history? How long have you been taking the it? are you taking more than just 8 mg? ## Yes, you have to be in full withdrawal, before you can take Suboxone, or it may throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. Hi, I recently started Butrans patch which seems to be helping except I can't get it to stay on properly even with the tagaderm covers. First off under my armpit was not good, so I tried the other side and the same thing they wrinkle. The left upper chest worked great when it was time for the right it was different couldn't get it to stay on flat. Could it be that it's hot and I move around a lot so I sweat idk. I just want it to lie flat and stay put like the first 2 times I applied it. Any suggestions? ## Yes, sweating or the excess skin oil that can occur due to heat may be contributing to the problem. HELP! I have NEVER taken Suboxone in my life. I've never even seen it in real life. After 5 years of clean urine screens for pain management, I suddenly tested positive for it in June. I swore to my doctor I hadn't taken Suboxone or anything else not prescribed to me (because it was and is true) he said he had never seen a false positive but that he was inclined to believe me and would run more specific tests. I went back in a few days ago and he said that I had tested positive a second time, that Suboxone contains a very specific molecule that cannot be misidentified and that he would chalk it up to adulterants in my medications if other patients had tested positive, but no one else had. I'm pretty sure he doesn't believe me anymore. He was willing to send one more samp...

If you or anyone you know needs a suboxone doctor, my doctor (Rene Perez) in Miami is accepting new patients. Tel: 786-373-7975. He doesn't take insurance but he also treats depression, anxiety etc, very caring, treats you like a human being and not expensive. ## I am trying to get off opiates and have used suboxone for a couple years off and on only through friends. It's very hard for me in this state of Washington to find a doctor that really understands that a prescription on going for a couple months or less would be so beneficial in me stopping my opiate addiction can you help me? ## call them up or text them at that number

Hello Everyone. I moved to Trenton, NJ from San Francisco. My doctor there helped me with Methadone and morphine. I am looking for a doctor in New Jersey, or close by, maybe new york or phily who prescribes methadone for pain. I have taken methadone in SF for over a year, and I have bottles and I am sure my doctor there can send my new doctor my medical records, but I am not sure whom to contact. Most doctors here say they do not prescribe medication for pain. I am probably calling the wrong doctors. However, in many parts of the country it is much easier to get methadone than morphine or oxycontin for pain, and I think this is helpful to me because methadone is not addictive for me. can anyone help me with the name of a doctor? I would be so grateful. I am so worried about this that I ...

I am currently on (2) Zubsolve tablets per day, and along with initial suboxone treatment, this has been a nightmare for me to try to get off of. My body reacts terribly with withdrawal symptoms much worse than any opiate pills I took. It's as if I am living in a really dark tunnel, and can barely get out of bed. In my mind, 3 years of being in an Opiate Treatment Program has only resulted in more money for the Doctor's and Insurance. I so badly now want off, because if I run out, my body becomes violently ill and I am unable to function. I almost always take more than my recommended and prescribed dose, hello....I am an addict, which always leads to the same insanity of going without or calling the clinic nurse and doctor who are less than happy with you for taking more. Man th...
