How can i get rid of methadone? I weigh 100 kgs and am about 3 years addicted to methadone for getting rid of opium but now I want to get rid of methadone and I take only 10 grams per day. ## I am male 62 years old with heavy hearth surgery 18 years ago it is about 3 years which for opium stop addiction I used to have methadone from 30 miligrams I decreased it to 2pills (each 5 mg) .I am from iran. ## I don't know if you're still looking for an answer or not but I've been on methadone for over 6 years. I am on suboxone and i have my doc appointment tmrw and I've took subutex 2 days before my appointment. Will the subutex show up different than suboxone on my urine dip stick drug test? ## Subutex shows up as Suboxone its the same thing. Subutex just don't have naloxone in it. ## No it will show as a bupe either one is fine. Trust me!!

How long did you try Suboxone? Side effects are usually transient and tend to go away with time, once your body gets used to the medication.

How do you get a Family Practice Doctor to take out a False Readout that said positive for Methadone in my file? They sent out another toxicology report and it came back negative for methadone but I have asked them to take this false report out because it is WRONG and they refuse! Can I see a lawyer and get it taken out? I plan on going to a different practice and I feel this is a Red Flag if I go to another group. If I need pain meds they will think I am a druggie! Someone told me my wife's subutex were fake because they saw a half of a tablet and it only had the 54 half showing. I found it hard to believe because they came from the pharmacy and all the rest look fine. Actually other than it being cut in half it looks fine as well. It has the same color shape and imprint other than the 411 side being cut off. Hi, I've been prescribed opiates for years now. With a few breaks between (with Subs, methadone, etc) after weaning my usage down. I took 2 days of methadone. Can I still take 2 mg (and slowly increase) my subutex use 24hrs after my last dose of 30mg methadone? ## Hello, Sue! How are you? Just like when starting Suboxone, you have to be in full withdrawal, before taking Subutex, unless your doctor directs otherwise, or it could throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. What can you do to ease the withdrawals whrn you stop subutex?? I am miserable on day 4 dont think i can make it any longer. ## If your doctor approves, some Tylenol and Imodium may help with some of the symptoms, What dose were you taking? The FDA lists the typical withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, vomiting, depression, irritability, rebound pain and diarrhea.

Im 22 years old I have been a addicted to opiates for 6 years. I've lost everything. My fiance, I lost my mom to cancer, and I'm ready to clean up. I just got a full time job. I just need this program so I can stay sober for life. ## Jason If u do go on suboxone don't do it for long. I am a recovering addict too and ive been on suboxone for over a year and now I am trying to come off of it and trust me - if u think being dope sick is bad try coming off of suboxone. does the phentol patch contain methadone? ## I'm sorry, did you mean Phentol, which refers to Phentolamine and is used to treat hypertensive emergencies or did you mean Fentanyl, which is a narcotic to treat pain? Neither one contains Methadone. Fentanyl contains exactly that, it is the active ingredient. It is a narcotic used to treat chronic pain. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. ## Hi, very informative , I appreciate the comments. I recently was told by a pharmacist that I might check into phentol patches for cancer pain, so it will not cause constipation. ## Do not do patches if u have done methadone or any other medications or opioids u will O.D trust me I speak from experience.

Hello, this thread will help many people. It is designated to provide addicts information concerning where they can get prescribed Subutex (Buprenorphine) instead of Suboxone. Let's face it, Naloxone can cause problems. Subutex is significantly cheaper and is an effective alternative for people who cannot tolerate Suboxone - for whatever reason. I just got switched from subutex to suboxone the teva white round ones that day 93 on One side and 5721 on the other side.
