I am on suboxone and i have my doc appointment tmrw and I've took subutex 2 days before my appointment. Will the subutex show up different than suboxone on my urine dip stick drug test? ## Subutex shows up as Suboxone its the same thing. Subutex just don't have naloxone in it. ## No it will show as a bupe either one is fine. Trust me!!
I'm looking for a doctor that prescribes subutex, I have a hard time with Suboxone, it gives me severe headaches and terrible nausea. ## Hello, Lola! How are you? Unfortunately, unless someone has a documented allergy to Naloxone, or is pregnant, the DEA has instructed them to only prescribe Suboxone. The FDA classifies it as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as dizziness, dry mouth and constipation, as well as those you've mentioned. How long did you try Suboxone? Side effects are usually transient and tend to go away with time, once your body gets used to the medication.

How do you get a Family Practice Doctor to take out a False Readout that said positive for Methadone in my file? They sent out another toxicology report and it came back negative for methadone but I have asked them to take this false report out because it is WRONG and they refuse! Can I see a lawyer and get it taken out? I plan on going to a different practice and I feel this is a Red Flag if I go to another group. If I need pain meds they will think I am a druggie! Don't know what that is (methadone) and don't plan on ever taking it. I've had 12 back surgeries and I do take what the doctor gives me but nothing else! Can you tell me how to get them to take it out of my Permanent Record? I went online and saw this in my health history. They lied and said they read it wrong an...
How can I get around this new law on subutex I've been on it for 2 years and not suboxone for the simple fact I can't afford the suboxone I can fill my entire months prescription for less than 200 now I spend 200 for a weeks supply just because it has nalaxone...please help ## Hi Calvin, I'm a little thrown off by your title and description, because on one end it asks 'how to get subutex' and on the other it says that you've 'been on it for 2 years (and not suboxone)'....If not suboxone, did you mean to say subutex? It's all too easy to get confused between the two names sometimes so I just wanted to help clear things up for other readers as well. I know you had also mentioned that you couldn't afford the suboxone as it was...Have you considered t...
Someone told me my wife's subutex were fake because they saw a half of a tablet and it only had the 54 half showing. I found it hard to believe because they came from the pharmacy and all the rest look fine. Actually other than it being cut in half it looks fine as well. It has the same color shape and imprint other than the 411 side being cut off. Any ideas on how to either prove or disprove these accusations because i just highly doubt the pharmacy is giving anyone fake and/or counterfeit medicine. ## If you received them from a licensed U.S. pharmacy, then there is no reason to think they are fake. They are manufactured by Roxane Laboratories and they list them as being 8mg sublingual Buprenorphine tablets, a generic for Subutex. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate th...
Do they still make suboxone pills ## Are you referring to the tablet that has the logo on the opposite side that's manufactured by Actavis? If so, yes the are still available. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, it's typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. It also carries the risk of being habit forming. Is there anything else I can help with?
Can I take 35mgs. of methadone and 60mgs morphine? ## Hello, Jason! How are you? These two medications really shouldn't be mixed, unless your doctor has specifically instructed you to do so. Learn more Morphine details here. Learn more Methadone details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Both of them cause sedation and, if someone isn't opiate tolerant, it could sedate them to far, basically causing an overdose, per se. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Yes you can, ONLY IF YOUR PHYSICIAN HAS PRESCRIBED THEM TO YOU. THEY HAVE FOUND, THAT FOR SOME ODD REASON IT DECREASES THE DEPENDENCE LEVELS. Note: I am assuming if your doctor presc...

Hi, I've been prescribed opiates for years now. With a few breaks between (with Subs, methadone, etc) after weaning my usage down. I took 2 days of methadone. Can I still take 2 mg (and slowly increase) my subutex use 24hrs after my last dose of 30mg methadone? ## Hello, Sue! How are you? Just like when starting Suboxone, you have to be in full withdrawal, before taking Subutex, unless your doctor directs otherwise, or it could throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?
What can you do to ease the withdrawals whrn you stop subutex?? I am miserable on day 4 dont think i can make it any longer. ## If your doctor approves, some Tylenol and Imodium may help with some of the symptoms, What dose were you taking? The FDA lists the typical withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, vomiting, depression, irritability, rebound pain and diarrhea.

does the phentol patch contain methadone? ## I'm sorry, did you mean Phentol, which refers to Phentolamine and is used to treat hypertensive emergencies or did you mean Fentanyl, which is a narcotic to treat pain? Neither one contains Methadone. Fentanyl contains exactly that, it is the active ingredient. It is a narcotic used to treat chronic pain. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. ## Hi, very informative , I appreciate the comments. I recently was told by a pharmacist that I might check into phentol patches for cancer pain, so it will not cause constipation. ## Do not do patches if u have done methadone or any other medications or opioids u will O.D trust me I speak from experience.
Hello, this thread will help many people. It is designated to provide addicts information concerning where they can get prescribed Subutex (Buprenorphine) instead of Suboxone. Let's face it, Naloxone can cause problems. Subutex is significantly cheaper and is an effective alternative for people who cannot tolerate Suboxone - for whatever reason. I will provide the names of a few Physicians/Places that I am certain are compassionate towards those sensitive to Naloxone. However, let's build this thread: help one another by providing potentially life-saving information. If I see that others' are contributing, I will keep submitting information as I find it and I will keep digging for the sake of those in desperate conditions. Let's support one another and get this thing up ...

i was blessed to find the st anthony's START program in okc 3 yrs ago & it literally changed my life; i've done a 180 degree turn in my life in just about every way. i went into rehab needing desperately to get off oxycontin, which i'd been on along with most other Rx pain medications since a neck injury that temporarily put me in a wheel chair in '05. i had come to believe all the oxy in the world would not allow me to function normally with any tolerable level of pain. i didn't know a thing about suboxone until that time, upon going into the START program where i found the most incredible physician, dr charles shaw. with his referral i was able to get into an okc pain mgmt office where i've been a patient since feb, '12, soon to be 3 yrs. however, thank...
I just got switched from subutex to suboxone the teva white round ones that day 93 on One side and 5721 on the other side. Has anyone ever been on these and how well do they work and could u just let me know how that did for u. I'm kinda nervous about switching. . ## Hello! I just got thest from my pharmacy as well and the side effects were really bad for me. I don't even think that they are real. Let me ask you this, if you take three or four of the pills and look at one side of each, looking at the 93 side left to right, and then when you flip the pill over to the left does the 5721 read at a totally different angle (the the 5721 is not imprinted in the exact same location as the 93?) do this with a few of the pills . I am curious to see if the imprints are straight across rea...
