Doubtfully Fake

Someone told me my wife's subutex were fake because they saw a half of a tablet and it only had the 54 half showing. I found it hard to believe because they came from the pharmacy and all the rest look fine. Actually other than it being cut in half it looks fine as well. It has the same color shape and imprint other than the 411 side being cut off. Any ideas on how to either prove or disprove these accusations because i just highly doubt the pharmacy is giving anyone fake and/or counterfeit medicine.

If you received them from a licensed U.S. pharmacy, then there is no reason to think they are fake.

They are manufactured by Roxane Laboratories and they list them as being 8mg sublingual Buprenorphine tablets, a generic for Subutex.

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation
