I am on 60 mg of methadone from a substance abuse clinic. I dose Monday-Friday at the clinic and take home Saturday and Sunday's dose. After dosing at the clinic, in front of the pharmacist, for 3 days, my urine test came up negative for methadone and positive for methadone metabolites. They are acting like I did something wrong for the test to come back like that. How is it negative when they watch me take it 5 days a week?

Will going straight from 40mg Norco daily to a Butrans patch cause precipitated withdrawals? ## Yes, it may, since Buprenorphine takes a stronger hold on the opiate receptors than the Norco, so it tends to kick it out, so to speak. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Did you doctor instruct you to switch immediately? ## I'm waiting for her instructions still and all of the info online is confusing. On their website it says if you're on the equivalent of 30mg morphine or less that you don't have to taper down, but other sites say totally different.

My husband has an addiction to pain pills and i recently found out he snorts & shoots up subutex..... can you please give me info on the side effects of this? Talked to a director over a rehab center today, hoping they have a bed for him monday. I was drinking methadone 2 times a day morning and night, did a fast taper to 15ml methadone, now I'm 4 days into subutex loading doses 4 x 8mg, I'm not withdrawing but got one mild withdrawl symptom well 2. I'm not warm like i was on methadone and i am getting cold n hot back chills and flashes. I've been on subutex before and loved them and felt low doses. I just wanna feel normal again. Hi, I am trying to find a pm that doesn't require injections. I've had every kind and the last 4 or 5 put me in the hospital because of heart and diabetes. Now current pm ended up with legal trouble because of her husband. Next thing I know she's saying my urine came up with methadone, which is impossible I've never ever taken it. She cut me back instead of released me. But if she really thought i was screwing up I bealive she would have released me. So before I'm left without I need a new compassionate doc in New Jersey. I am 50 with multiple issues that all cause pain. ## Methadone clinics can do wonders for you why not give that a try best of luck

I have been taking 4 mg suboxone for over 5 years for stage 4 cancer. In January, my tests started coming back negative for buprenorphine and my dr. believes I have been selling my my prescription. I found several entries here with the same problem. I insisted on a blood draw since they were threatening me with jail time for drug diversion. Good news! The blood test exonerated me so if this is also happening to you, request either a blood or follicle (hair) test. I was on suboxone for 2 years. Had surgery on my foot and was prescribed oxycodone. After that ran out I took methadone until I could get to a new suboxone dr. She saw that I had methadone in my system and wouldnt give me the suboxone. I ended up with a drug overdose and was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. After 7 days they gave me Vivitrol, with sent me into severe withdrawals. They want me to get a Vivitrol shot in 5 days, however I think it will be too soon. Any thoughts?

My pain Dr. by my suggestion wrote me a prescription for Suboxene but without instructions how to take. Do I have to stop the opiod pain meds a certain amt of hrs prior to taking my first Suboxene? Ive been told no can stop the night before and take Sub next AM....also read need to stop opiods 48-72 hrs prior to starting. Can someone with experience please instruct me on what to do. Can you get pain meds if you have surgery while your on suboxyn or can you never get pain meds again ## Usually, your doctor would have you stop it several days before surgery, so it won't cause problems with anesthesia and to ensure that pain medications will work for you. The Naloxone in it usually only blocks them from working for about 3 days, after last taking it. I took a urine test for my suboxone Dr and tested positive for Bupe and MDMA. However I have not taken MDMA at all. How can this be? The only other substances I have taken are seroquel and promethazine that I am prescribed. How can this be? I read that MDMA stays in a person's system for up to 3-5 days...The test I took was either an 8 or 12 panel drug test kit. It is the same type of kit that I use each time I see my Dr and this has never happened any of the other times.

I have been on Suboxone strips for sometime now but was just change over to the generic the one with the half moon , because of insurance purposes and It seems like constipation is MUCH worse ! It is possible that the generic could be a little stronger than the name brand, since under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, they are allowed to differ by as much as plus or minus 20% of the active ingredient, so that could be why your constipation is worse with this one. So I've been on suboxone for almost a year. I know no early fills and the whole deal. But this month it's been a fiasco. Last month dropped my rx off at Riteaid but got partial fills. The last partial fill was for 5 strips which is 4 days but in the system the tech put that it was 12 days because of that error when I brought it to CVS this month they fill half of it and charged me full amount. (Even with insurance it costs me a hefty penny). I asked the pharmacist and tech wHy my insurance didn't cover it, and she said it was a day to early. At that time it seemed odd since I hadn't had my daily dose because I had to make my appt a day later than usual. Hello all.. Does anyone know what type of drug test(s) CPS use in NY? Does CPS test for suboxone? Unfortunately, I'm in the system now, and I am completely unfamiliar with it. They're recommending drug treatment and testing, however I do not have a script for Suboxone. I'm wondering if Suboxone would pop on a CPS' test? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My name is Lorre im looking for a new pain Dr in the Wis. Area my current Dr is leaving her practice as of July 1st. She prescribed 10 mg Methadone and 30 mg Oxycodone I've been with her for 6 years taking the same for that many years. Anyone know of a Dr that prescribes these type of medications? I've had 2 cervical fusions do to the first one fell apart after a year. So I had to have a post cervical and a interior fusion done ended up with a nerve disorder called dystonia . I took my last pain meds @ 5 am today and I plan on taking suboxone until I'm able to make it to my appointment. It's 8mg and I know I shouldn't take the whole thing. Was in rehab in the past under court order so finding a Dr. that will give narcotics for my pain has been close to impossible. Want to get pain meds from Dr. not from street. Anyone know a doctor who is sympathetic to chronic pain patients around Traverse City, MI. area? ## You might want to contact a lawyer to see if your states reports people who have been in rehab by the state and if people are flagged and how a doctor would get that information. Sometimes this information is not shared between agency's. For example I don't know how your doctor would know unless you are flagged by your state monitoring program. I was taking 5 mg of percocets 6 times every 24 hours. I recently tried suboxone to see if could act as a pain killer/substitute for the percocet. It made me feel like I was on an opiate but did not take away the pain. I took a 1/3 of a 8/2 mg strip over the span of 2 days. Wasn't much at all. I just want to go back to my 5mg percocets. It's been about 12 hours since I took my last little piece. Am I good to get back on my percocet regiment now? I no longer feel the effects of the suboxone, probably because I barely took any. But I didn't want to over do it because of the fact of me wanting to try out the transition first. Could someone fill me in?
