I live in riverside county Ca. 92553. I recieve a rx from my pain dr. for the past 2yrs. Why won't no pharmacy fill my rx.They can call his office n his staff he will verify it.All the pharmacies keep saying it's on back order, they don't carry it,n no one will order it for me. Did the DEA change the rules on filing methadone in California? HELP! IT'S BEEN ALMOST 2WEEKS. ## Sorry to hear about your troubles trying to fill this medication. From what I understand, many patients are having the same challenges across the Nation with regards to filling just about any type pain medication script over a certain dosage. Apparently the DEA has been cracking down heavily on pain medication abuse "within FL."; even suing Walgreens $80 million for filling too many Oxycodone ...

Could my chronic idiopathic hives (of 5yrs) be caused by 2mg Suboxone? I've been on sub for that long. And if so, is it the bup or naloxone? I'm sick of getting Xolair shots and just masking the underlying issue. ## Hello, Mike! How are you? Yes, it has been known to cause that, in some people that take it, according to FDA reports. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. It also carries the risk of being habit forming. Unfortunately, I am not sure which ingredient is more likely the cause, but your doctor or pharmacist may know. Are you on any other medications?

Hello, I have been on suboxone and recently my doctor prescribed me neurontin... Will I feel the neurontin or will the suboxone just block them out? Thanks! ## Neurontin is not an opiate, so the Suboxone won't block it. It is actually classified by the FDA as an anticonvulsant that can help with certain types or nerve pain and some mood disorders. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and weight gain. You should not take them both, unless your doctor is aware that you are taking both and has specifically instructed you to do so, because it may be dangerous, if your doctor isn't monitoring you carefully and hasn't adjusted the dosages. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Verwon is spot on neurontin willnot give you any ...

Can you take Methadone and Geodon together or will it hurt you in any way? That's all I need to know. ## Hello, Gravie! How are you? No, it is usually not recommended because taking them together creates the risk of your developing an irregular heart rhythm, which can potentially be life threatening, according to the FDA. Anyone that has an existing cardiac condition is at increased risk. Has your doctor prescribed them both?

It has 54120 on on side with a line down the middle on the other side. Is it a pain pill? It has been said that it's a methadone tablet. ## Hello, Faye! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Roxane Laboratories and they list it as containing 10mgs of Methadone, which is most commonly used to treat drug addiction and pain. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been on 3 to 4 norcos per day for about 1.5-2 years. 10/325 mg. I don't take them at work EVER. So at night to relax and on weekends/holidays. I recently ran out and my doc suggested I take subutex if I start feeling crappy until I get more. I wasn't feeling too bad but wanted to try it anyway. He told me to put a whole pill under my tongue. But being cautious, I only put 1/2 pill under my tongue (so 4 mg?). Holy cow. I was SO high, then I have been sleepy for hours. Took a nap and woke up still high. Made dinner and am hoping eating makes it go away. It's not, really. I took the pill at 2pm today. I have work at 8:30 am tomorrow - am I still going to feel like this in the morning?! I'm freaking out and really regretting this. *some side notes about me: I am heavy...

I've been off norco and oxy for about 5 days now but I've been using a butrans patch to help with withdrawals. I have my first appt. with a suboxone doctor tomorrow. Can I start suboxone while on butrans since it's the same medicine? It doesn't make sense that I'd need to be withdrawing from the butrans first? ## Withdrawing from it should not be necessary, but it is up to your doctor. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Are you on any other medications?

I have been on 1-4mg of suboxone/day for about 1.5 years and I just took 25mg of ms contin. How long should I wait to dose again on my bupe? ## Until you are in withdrawal, just like when starting Suboxone, to avoid precipitated withdrawals. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## You have kind of helped me. I was on 640mg of ms contin daily. Am now on 16mg of suboxone. I was wondering what would happen if i had a shot of ms contin. Going by what you have said, i wont get a withdrawal from the shot immediately? ## Gayrobbie, That's s really heft...

I have been on a suboxone program for 3 days @ 16mg a day. What will happen if i have a 100mg shot of morphine sulphate? I have previously been told that i need 5 times the amount of morphine as i take of suboxone. So 16mg dose of suboxone means i need at least 80mg of morphine to jump the naloxone? Is that true? And can i take the 100mg shot of morphine without any dramas?

I am a opiate addict trying to get clean, but suboxone has always made my withdrawal symptoms worse so I need help finding a doctor that can prescribe subutex instead of suboxone. My life dearly depends on it so please help me find a doctor asap. Thanks so much. ## Hello, Brandi! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you've been having. However, worsening withdrawals, or precipitated withdrawals can occur with both of these medications. They both contain Buprenorphine, which takes a stronger hold on your opiate receptors than other opiates that are available, so they tend to kick out any residual opiates that are there and take their place, as reported by the NIH. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such a...

I've been on suboxone (now zubsolv) for a couple of years now. I really want to get off of them, but without them I'm extremely depressed and have absolutely no energy. I've tapered myself down from 2 mg to now .25 of one zubsolv. I have been on this quarter for one week Sunday. Im so scared of withdrawals, and I am in a situation where withdrawing heavily isn't an option. I am in an extremely difficult program in school, while also doing clinicals. I am in school or clinicals 5 days a week 40 hours a week. I got into pain pills when I was 18 because my boyfriend was taking them. We were both on 30 mg a day. We are both now on the suboxone (zubsolv). He gets prescribed them, but we both take them. With my school situation, I'm petrified that I will be denied into the...

I don't take suboxone on a regular basis. I took a quarter dose of suboxone today. When can i take my other pain medication? ## You'll need to wait about 72 hours, otherwise the Suboxone will just block the effect of the Morphine. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Does that count if you have been taking it for u months too? Been in subutex for 7 months for pain management and I can't afford it so I'm going back to my percocet 7.5s. Any advice verwon? It cost me about 500 a month for my subs. And my percocets were 4 dollars a month. I'm getting surgery in November...

I have been at a clinic for 3 years now, got along with everyone never any problems kept to myself did what I had to do. Anytime I called this girl out in our group she felt like I was attacking her, the type of girl who's life was always coming to the end tried helping her. Couple weeks later we had a little argument outside, no biggie. She filed a grievance, lying saying I put my hands on her and selling my meds. they never listened to my side and are throwing me out 30 day taper. I'm a good ole country boy, was raised you never touch a woman or you'll be answering to the lord and my wife was standing there as well. she's conflict of interest so she can't be my witness. no where else takes medicaid. I would like detail information on this please. ## Hello, Christy! How are you? Methadone is actually notorious for causing withdrawals, regardless of how long it's been taken. The FDA lists the withdrawal symptoms as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, fever, chills, rebound pain and anxiety. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Why would you want to know?? Unless you have been stealing meds that weren't yours. I hear you are notorious for that.

White pill that was supposed to be a Suboxone or Subutex either or. She brought them home I took one and now I kind of feel sick. Been taking Subs for a few years now and have never seen one of these pills. Can anyone confirm or deny whether this is a Suboxone or a Subutex? It's white round with a slash in the middle #9 on 5 on the bottom. ## Hi Dale, I'm not finding a pill on record with the NIH that matches your description. There is, however, a Zubsolv pill which sort of resembles what you have described. It is white, round, blank on one side, and has the # 5 then a hyphen (-) then the # 7 printed a bit smaller on the other side. NDC code is 54123-957. Sort of like (5-7) Zubsolv contains the same active ingredients as Suboxone. Could what I described above be what you are loo...

I have to take Azithromycin for a tonsil infection. I'm on Suboxone. Can I take it without a problem? ## Hello, Linda! How are you? According to the FDA, taking them both could result in QT interval prolongation, which could be risky for some people with a heart condition, or other undiagnosed medical issues. Thus, you should only take them both, if your doctor has instructed you to do so and is monitoring you, in case of any problems. Are you on any other medications?
