My name is Max and ive been on suboxone for about 10 years. I am one of the first people in new england to get it for pain. Before i was on methadone and i quit that cold turkey. THE HARDEST THING IVE EVER DONE IN MY LIFE TIME. I was on 265 a day for about two years. It all started with a back injury and pain pills not knowing how addictive they were, blah blah blah, but my girlfrind now of two years seems to get what seems to me opiate withdrawals and she doesn't do any drugs. We have a very healthy sex life and i was just wondering if it was possible for her to get addicted threw my seed if you know what i mean? I hope you ...
Updated in SuboxoneHi. I go to the methadone clinic and have for about 2 years. I haven't done anything but my methadone in about a year and a half. One of my urine tests came up positive for opiates. They did a second test of the same sample and it showed positive for morphine. I haven't done morphine in about 10 years. Why is my urine test showing a false positive for opiates (morphine) when all I've taken is my methadone? Because of this I lost my phase that I've worked almost 2 years to get where I am! I'm very frustrated. They allowed me to take a hair follicle test at my own expense and I'm still waiting for the results. Will my methadone show up as opiates in a 5 panel plus opiate hair follicle test? I have come up with 2 options. Either the test was a human error and someon...
I get drug tested by urinalysis tests at work often. So often, in fact, that I have them at my disposal and I often take urinalysis tests just because I can. I will say though, as someone who doesn't use drugs, you'd be surprised what shows up as a false positive for buprenorphine. So far (through regular testing and negatives in between) there have been a handful of both prescription and over the counter drugs that, once taken, have resulted in a false positive for buprenorphine. These drugs are: tizanidine, meloxicam, ketorolac, ranitidine, oxaprozin, ibuprofen, acetaminophen, and diphenhydramine. I hope this information will be helpful to those of you who have had a false positive for buprenorphine and would like to avoid this issue in the future.
Updated in BuprenorphineI need a Suboxone Dr. in the Huntsville/Madison, AL area asap. I am already on suboxone, but it looks like my doctor may be leaving the area and I really don't want to go to a random Dr. just to find out he's awful. I've already done that once with a doctor scamming me and my insurance and I really don't want to do it again. If anyone knows of a good doctor in the area, preferably one with availabilities (but I will put myself on as many waiting lists as needed, so go ahead with any good ones that are full that you may know of), I would really appreciate the help! Thanks! ## Hello, Carrie! How are you? Actually, there is a search engine on the website that you can use to check for doctors in your area by zip code. You can find it at Suboxone.com click here. This is a nar...
I just took a 5 panel drug test and I take methadone daily. IT DOES NOT SHOW UP. I PASSED THE DRUG TEST FLYING COLORS. SO DON'T BE SCARED. ## Was it a hair follicle test? I have to do the same 5 panel hair folicle test and I take methadone I'm terrified it will show up as an opiate or methadone itself ## I'll let you know I just took one and my results are tomorrow ## Well, the results came back on my 5 panel folical test. And methadone did not show up. Yes new job here i come. Hope this helps someone. I am taking 20 milligrams and have been for a year at the point that I took this test. (Daily) im in a Clinic. ## Ag, Congrats on the new job!!!!! No one should ever be disqualified for employment based solely on their courageous decision to enter treatment for substance abuse...
I am on 58 mg of Methadone and I have been on it for a year. It does not help with pain for me, and I did this on my own to see if it would help me. I was taking 4 mg of Hydromorphone for pain before. Now I want off the Methadone but my doctor is telling me I have to go to a non opioid pain clinic for pain. What is that??? I need opioids to help with pain. What do I do?? ## Steve, Sorry to hear about the difficulties your experiencing. It's tragic when doctors prescribe potent pharmaceutical's such as hydromorphone and methadone then cut you loose. It sounds as if He wants you to see what's known as an interventional pain clinic where they utilize treatments to relief the pain rather then traditional opioids and opiates.Sadly it appears he no longer in comfortable prescribin...
I've been in two different suboxone clinics that I couldn't afford to keep going to because I had to pay to go to the groups every time I went to get a prescription. I no longer have transportation. I have Medicaid and Medicare. I'm also mentally and emotionally handicapped and I'm on disability. I have no one to help me do this. I cannot take suboxone because the naloxone gives me migraines! I need a doctor in the Sullivan County area that can prescribe subutex asap. Can somebody plz help me find one? ## Yes I can find a private psychiatrist who owns his own little clinic, explain the headaches as I did and cost. Subutex feels so much cleaner and warm plus with an RX coupon I paid 43.60 for 90 8mg small white ones. I'm struggling though, it isn't helping with cr...
I am trying to find out if someone allergic to opiates (yet is seeking assistance for opiate addiction) would have a good chance of being allergic to Suboxone/buprenorphine? Technically, suboxone and subutex are classified as narcotics, but being partial does anyone think the same allergy would be triggered? ## If they have a genuine allergy to all opiates, then they will most likely also react to this one, there is no way to know for sure, unless they try it, though. However, one important question to ask is what symptoms did they experience, when they took opiates, that they consider to due to an allergic reaction? Quite often, the symptoms that many people think mean they are allergic to something, are actually just normal side effects. The FDA lists them as possibly including nausea...

Thank you ## I need a Dr. that prescribes subutex in Burlington, New Jersey
I get 60, 8mg subutex from my Dr. He also gives me a refill, because ive been with him so long. Im moving out of state this week, and will be about 10 days ahead of my refill date, and pharmacy is local mom n pops. Have no Dr or pharmacy, how can I get my scrip filled before I leave? ## Chauncey, 10 days is something I don't think any legit rph would be willing to risk there licenses for.your best bet would be set up an appointment as soon as you get to your new location and explain your predicament to your new provider. Best wishes...
how do i prepare these 54-142 tabs for iv vinegar ? ## It is not safe to use a medication for injection if it has not been specially made to be used that way. Tablets contain fillers and not all of them are meant to be broken down by the human body, they are normally just expelled in your waste. However, if you try to break down a tablet for injection, then you are placing these substances in your body in a way, in which, it cannot process them out. This creates the very real risk of blockages, which can result in stroke or embolism. Are there any questions or comments? ## Are you serious?!! This really makes me sick at my syomach ! If the s*** was meant to go in your veins, it would be in liquid form(Not the kind of liquid that you are cooking) in a computerized lock drawe in a nurses ...
Please help,I need to find a doc. That accepts medicaid & will prescribe suboxone in s.c. I live in the Darlington area, but I'm will to drive long distance if necessary, even into Georgia! ! Can anybody help me! ? I'd greatly appreciate it! ! & so would my family! ## Suboxone.com click here. There is a search engine on the above website that will you allow you to check for doctors via zip code. Their contact information will be included for the doctors that treat with it, so you can contact them to see if they accept Medicaid and are accepting new patients. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I'm on 10 mg methadone 4 times a day now and going to start suboxone but the doc said i have to take a drug test and my levels had to show up less then 60 in my body how many a day can i take to get below that 60 on the test? ## To properly use Suboxone, you actually have to be in the beginning stages of withdrawal, that means severely dropping your Methadone. I am not sure how much that would be in a day, did your doctor give you any instructions? ## My husband says he is leaving me cuz he cant take dealing with me and my addiction any longer. I am out to prove to him and my kids that i can take my life back. He hates the methadone clinic and with good reason. so i did my research and got the info about changing to suboxone. I am so very very scard of all of this. I just really nee...
I have been on maintenance at a Northern California Methadone Clinic for 6 years. I stopped using all on the day I walked in. Now I come in 1x per week and get 6 take homes. I have gotten in trouble for not being able to pee when asked a few times over the years and that is my only Failed Tests). My psych meds make me dehydrated and Clinic has a Doctors Note about that. I gave one Given this month and just spilled my cup into the toilet due to my poor grip (I have to have Neurosurgery on my neck and am getting a Nerve Conductivity Test to determine the loss of grip and numness in arms and hands) also the clinic ordered the wrong paper cups months ago, they usually have a handle on them good for women to grip. They said they were getting the right ones but its been ages anyway so I had t...
If you keep going back to DOC and suboxone, it will take more of the subs to feel relief. Why is that? ## It is normal for your body to get used to anything that you ingest for a long period of time, and for it to eventually stop working as well for you, so you require a dosage adjustment, according to the NIH. It doesn't happen to everyone and the time frame can vary from person to person in those that experience it. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
So i got 2 8mg/2mg strips to try because i have a slight dependency to vicodin which i normally take 15 to 30mgs of a day for a little over a year for chronic skeletal back and neck pain do to sever early on set arthritis. So my question is if i take these 2 strips for the next 2 days (one per day half in the morning and the other in the afternoon/night before i go to bed so i can not be in pain when i sleep) how long after i take the last suboxone will an opioid drug like my vicodin, be able to start working in my body again for relieving my body pain? ## Well first, you need to be aware that you have to be in full withdrawal, before you take Suboxone, otherwise it can throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals, according to the NIH. Once you take it, it will take about 72 hours...
If I take suboxone can I drink everyday detox teas? It says it's suppose to be healthy for the liver and I wanted to try it. ## Since they are supplement products, they are not checked for possible issues and interactions with actual prescription drugs, so I'm sorry, but I don't have information on this for you. Additionally, you should be informed that there is no medical or scientific proof behind detoxing your body or liver using any of these products, according to the AMA. Your liver and body does its own thing to detox itself and there is really nothing you can do to change the process. That said, there is likely not harm in drinking the tea, though you may want to double check based on the possible ingredients, but all you will really be doing is enjoying a cup of tea....
Are NSAID's and methadone different or the same thing? I don't understand the difference? Plz advise. ## Methadone is an opiate that is used to treat severe pain or drug addiction, with NSAIDs are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories that are used to treat pain, fever, swelling, according to the NIH. Methadone carries the risk of being habit forming, which NSAIDs don't, as warned b the FDA. Is there anything else I can help with?
I live in riverside county Ca. 92553. I recieve a rx from my pain dr. for the past 2yrs. Why won't no pharmacy fill my rx.They can call his office n his staff he will verify it.All the pharmacies keep saying it's on back order, they don't carry it,n no one will order it for me. Did the DEA change the rules on filing methadone in California? HELP! IT'S BEEN ALMOST 2WEEKS. ## Sorry to hear about your troubles trying to fill this medication. From what I understand, many patients are having the same challenges across the Nation with regards to filling just about any type pain medication script over a certain dosage. Apparently the DEA has been cracking down heavily on pain medication abuse "within FL."; even suing Walgreens $80 million for filling too many Oxycodone ...
