My best friend had her baby 2 days ago. She was highly addicted to Opana pain medication. At 6 months she finally saw a doctor and was put on Subutex. She would do ok for a little while then relapse all the way up to her last month when she realized she would end up taking her baby. She had lowered herself down to a small amount of the Subutex so the baby hasn't needed anything to help him with the withdrawals. Yesterday she thought she was going home when a social worker showed up and said they were testing the umbilical cord first. Then they would let her know if she can take him home. Since she was doing drugs up until the last month will that show up and will they keep her baby because of it?

My question is if I took 7.5mg of oxymorphone at 9:00pm last night will I be able to pass a drug test specifically for opiate levels wednsday at 1:00? Also the test has to be sent to a lab, if there was a trace of opiates still in my urine is it possible for it to "die" will on the way to the lab or is it going to show in the urine regardless? ## Is there any way to flush opanas out of ur system in 48 hours

I took 5 20 mg Opana er's on Wed. Had a saliva drug screen on Fri. Will my test come out positive? ## I doubt if they will test for Oxymorphone Hydrochloride. The lab I work with doesn't test for it in saliva. But usually a drug can be detected in a saliva test anywhere from 24-48 hours.

I would be so grateful if someone could help me figure out why I'm sleepy all the time! I am taking opana 10mg 2x daily, with vicodan for breakthrough pain. I am 65 yrs old, female and also taking many other pills including paxil, lasix, simvastatin, insulin (type II diabetic) lisinopril, glipizide and potassium. I have been on several different pain meds such as fentanyl 50mcg/hr (it eventually made me feel like i was going crazy) buprenorphine, oxycodone which worked very well but I was dipping into that bottle a bit too often. I am on the dilaudid p.pump & take opana 10 -5 times daily. My nerves are shot in my back,my neck & my r.collarbone,shoulder and arm.the pain is intolerable,what is a stronger med i can ask my doctor for? ## How high is your dosage of the Dilaudid? i have an old opana 40mg and i'd like to shoot it. How do i do this does anybody know??? ## It can actually be very dangerous to try to inject pills, since they aren't intended to be used in such a manner. On top of the risk of overdose, tablets also contain fillers and not all of them are meant to be broken down by the body. These products are normally just expelled as waste. How do I stop taking opana er40 mg. I also take 10/325 Percocet. Should I try cutting down month to month or go to a rehab and have that instant detox done while I'm under? ## How much are you taking? Are you actually addicted and abusing them, or are you just taking them via a doctor's prescription and not taking more than prescribed? I ran out of my meds early and i take opana er percocet and soma what can i take to substitute the opana for my urine test if anything. ## take the percocet. it breaks down in the system to oxymorphone when you urinate by atleast 10%. it does not work the other way around. oxycodone breaks down to oxymorphone. much like hydro to hydomorphone.

The new formulation of Opana ER will be coming out the second week of March apparently. Let's hope it will be more successful than the re-formulation of Oxycontin ER. So many chronic pain patients had to switch off of that medication when they changed it due to reduction in effectiveness (mostly due to the coating not being dissolved enough before it passed out of the body apparently) and stomach problems from the coating as well. I was one myself. I am not talking about any of those people who abused the drug, but rather the true pain patients who used the drug correctly. It stinks that they have to change these medications around, the ones that are truly helping people who suffer from horrific pain, just because there are people out there abusing them. i wanted to get some more feedback regarding Opana 40 mg ER and any side affects that you may have. I have two herniated disc's L4-L5 & L5/S1 & I have stonisis of the spine as well.. I am only 39yrs old and my pain management Doctor referred me to this type of pain medication since I am way to young to have back surgery. I am currently on my second steroid IV of dexamethasone which is a series of 3 intravenous doses and they have done nothing so far with the inflammation. I have been taking Generic Hydrocodone 10/325 2 pills 3 times a day and it's not helping so my doctor put me on Opana starting tomorrow, 40mgs twice a day.
