Has your doctor recommended this switch? The actual conversion, if you have been taking 20mgs of the Hydrocodone in the Norco, would be approximately 13.33 of the Oxycodone to equal the same dose. However, what you really need to do is try the Oxycodone and see how well it helps you, since it is more potent, you may get good results from the 10mgs, if you haven't taken it before.
Having a total knee replacement done in March have tried every type of therapies for pain, including CORTISONE and ORTHOVISC, but nothing helps... Doctor put me on Norco (5mg. / 325 mg.). It takes the edge off of my pain. (Also forgot to mention I'm dealing with severe bursitis in my hip in which I'm having the knee replacement surgery done on...) But still in a lot of pain. Can I asked the Orthopedic Surgeon to up the dosage to 7.5 mg. / 325 mg.? Also, is it safe taking this medication for two months prior to my surgery? Need some relief from pain until March... (Had my other knee replaced 5 years ago and took Norco 10/325 for 5 weeks after surgery to help with pain especially during therapy.) Anyones advise on this question? Thanks Much! I live not too far from you over in Lancaster, and there are a lot of medical doctors in this area (93534 zip code) if you can't find anything in Bakersfield...
Is there any way to inject norco instead of snorting it? ## It should be taken orally, as intended. Trying to use medications in a manner for which they aren't intended is not only illegal, but very dangerous. Tablets contain fillers and not all of them are meant to be broken down by the human body, they are normally just expelled as waste. If you inject or snort a tablet, you are placing these substances into your body in a manner in which it cannot properly process them out. This creates the risk of blockages with may lead to stroke or embolism. This risk is on top of the risk of overdosage. Is there anything else I can help with?

mI want to know how long it works not how long it 6 doctorsan who Decide it effects you ## There is really no way to give a definitive answer, because it is going to depend on the dosage, your tolerance to opiates and your own metabolism. They are usually prescribed to be taken about every 6 hours, as needed. If your current dosage isn't handling your pain for a long enough period of time, then you should consult your doctor for a possible dosage adjustment. What are the instructions on your current prescription?
I've been taking a 10 /325 norco with big V on one side and v3601 on other darker yellow. i sitched to watson 853 10/325. the watsons don't seem to work. does it take time to get used to new pill or something . please help. ## There can be differences in generic drugs, the FDA does allow them to differ, from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredient(s) by as much as plus or minus 20%. Problems can arise, however, because they are only required to measure against the name brand, not against each other, therefore, when you switch from one generic to another, you may find that one doesn't work as well, because you may not be getting as much of the medication as you were in the prior one. In some cases, they may even be stronger, which could cause problems for some ...

I had a work injury that crushed several discs in my neck and I have recently undergone fusion surgery which went well. However, I was not prepared for the pain I experienced. I have been on 10/325 norco for 7 weeks. I only took the Appropriate Rx amount or less; never more than 5 pills in a day. When I got to the point where I felt like I could manage the pain, I quit taking norco cold turkey. I wigged out. I experienced gnarly anxiety, mood swings, burning in my legs and feet, nausea, and elevated bp. I am trying to wean off the drug on my own but am super discouraged. Can anyone give me pointers on exactly how to do this? ## Have you consulted your doctor for advice? Your body will get used to any medication you take regularly, for awhile, even if you don't abuse it and take more...
I took 2 norco today and have drug test tomorrow will it show up? ## Yes, it will more than likely be detected. Most narcotics are detectable for approximately 4 days, after taking them. However, if you have a prescription, you just need to inform them of this, when you go in for testing. Norco contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, so it may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth. Learn more: Are there any other questions?

CAN I FILL OUT MY NORCO 10mg SCRIP WITH MY MEDICADE CARD EVEN IF MY PAIN MANGMENT DOESN'T TAKE IT. ## Yes, if it covers this medication, then you should not have a problem using it to pay for the prescription, regardless of whether or not the doctor you are seeing accepts such coverage. Norco is a narcotic analgesic, so it may cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, constipation and dizziness. Learn more: Are there any other questions?
Why is it small and yellow, I was taking the lortab blue pill ## The color and size don't actually mean anything, the company may just manufacture their pills differently, so they use less fillers, than other manufacturers. What are the markings on the tablet in question? The name brand Norco that is a yellow tablet in the 10/325mg dosage is oval and has the marking NORCO 539 on one side of the tablet. There is also a generic, that is a yellow, oval with the marking WATSON 853. Another yellow, oval one with the marking 3601 on one side and a V on the other side. Do any of these match the tablet you have? If not, please post back with markings and I will gladly check it for you.
Why is the Norco a bright bright yellow and much thicker in size! It's a V 3601? The others I have received are smaller and light yellow? Is it safe? Can I take it to be tested? ## The yellow pill which you are describing is Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone bitartrate (325 mg - 10 mg). That said, is in fact safe for you to take if you were in fact prescribed this pill by your doctor. A couple possible reasons I think of as to why it may be larger are due to increase in dosage, a change in manufacturer, or if the manufacturer changed the way they wanted the pill to look. Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone is a combination of two types of pain medicine to treat moderate to severe pain. You can view more information about this drug in the link below... If you have any more questions or concerns, p...

My husband was given narcoset (spelling?) for severe neck and back pain, now he is so dizzy he can't stand; is this normal. ## Did you mean Norco or Percocet? They are two different medications. Norco contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. Both, however, are narcotic pain medications and yes, dizziness can be a side effect, especially if he is not used to taking narcotics. It should wear off, as his body adjusts to the medication and it should only last for an hour, at the most, after he takes the medication. If it lasts longer than that, doesn't wear off or gets worse, then he will need to stop using them and contact his doctor. He may also experience other side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are...
have you found some reliable online pharmacies? ## I'd like to know if anyone can recommend a good pharmacy online that sells Norco 10/325. It helps my back pain and sinus pain but I don't want to get ripped off by a fake pharmacy. If anyone can help and respond, I would appreciate it. ## Try uspharmacystores, I've had good luck with them ## I recommend checking with a third party service such as PharmacyChecker, as they work to validate reliable online pharmacies. Basically other sites have to apply to be approved in their program, and they enforce a number of requirements. Hope this helps!
would like information on a comparrison of the two drugs are they equal in strenght ## That would depend on the dosage. Norco contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. Winadeine contains Acetaminophen and Codeine. The Codeine is not equal in strength to the Oxycodone, so you would need a higher dose of it to achieve the same pain relief. The side effect profile, however, is the same: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Read more: Are there any comments or questions?
