If this is the correct pill you'd probably also be able to see half of a "0" to the right of the "U". This one in particular is a generic Norco 10/325 tablet. I have chronic pain due to a plate in my arm and nerve damage. I have tried over 10 pharmacies in the last week and everyone says they've tried ordering it but its not coming. My physician called in a order of #120 10/325 norco on october 2, 2014, my pharmacy says they honor any/all refills prior to october 6th, I was given 2 r/f by dr. I asked monday when I can fill my xanax, wednesday they called n said xanax anytime, u have to wait til 14th for ur hydro refill. Botttle last month said not-refillable, is it law to put that on label? Obviously my pharm is honoring my refills prior to 10/6. What da difference between bp10-300 and norco 10-325? ## Hi Rodney, From what I could gather, the pill you're describing marked "BP 643 10" is reportedly identified as a generic form of Norco with a dosage of 10/300; made by a company called Boca Pharma Inc. As far as differences are concerned, this one has 25mgs LESS Acetaminophen than the Norco 10/325. And depending on which company manufacturers the other Norco 10/325, there may also be discrepancies among the list of "inactive ingredients" as well; which can in some cases impact the overall efficacy of the "active ingredient(s)", since certain binders/fillers cannot be fully metabolized by our bodies...essentially lowering its bioavailability. I live in the Detroit area. Been filling norco for over 12 years now and never had a problem. Now I cant find a pharmacy to fill them. I read above that there is a shortage at the end each year. This medication has been hard to find right now, due to labeling changes and shortages, but hospital pharmacies usually have a larger supply just for such purposes as surgical pain relief. They might be able to fill it for her. I received 2 scripts from my doc, both are wrote the exact same, Norco 10/325 with the exact same dosage and quantity, but I read that the second one, the doc has to write "do not fill til" on it and he didn't, what does that mean? Called Watson pharmaceutical about back order of norco. I was told by the manufacturer (Watson ) the release date for the distributors nov 7th. Due to new classification of norco which is now a control 2 all pack aging and distribution had to change. They assured me they were sorry for any inconvenience I have been in severe pain as I know many have suffered through this mistake. Both are available and can be prescribed there, as well as in any other state, but most doctors aren't going to prescribe both, at once, since both contain Acetaminophen and taking too much of it in a day carries risks of liver damage and liver failure, as well as overdose toxicity. My pain doctor just informed me that he can longer offer refills on my norco because of it being classed as a schedule 2 drug norcotic now. That means i must go every month now and pay for an office visit. I know that is true in New York but i am not aware of any changes in Alabama law. As I do not have insurance now that would be a huge added expense to me. It would be a big added expensive even if I did with a $60 copay. i had a really bad shoulder dislocation and am in chronic pain constantly. Doctor perscribed me norco. Went in to get my refill only to find out they won't honor refills. They say I have to go back to the doctor and get a new script. It's Sunday and the office is closed and I doubt he will be able to see me Monday. What should I do? ## If the prescription was written before the new law was in place, another pharmacy might honor it and fill it. They are allowed to do so. The CVS wont fill in Encinitas anymore. CVS, Walgreens and Walmart have company restrictions. No more orders until this State of California decision is changed or further notice. Even Pharmaca will only sell the spotted Activis Watson-and Allen pharmacy in San Diego won't special order them. Any other thoughts? I just had eye surgery and was given Norco (4x a day) and Motrin (3x a day) to take for pain, can I take them at the same time or do I need to space them out? ## Hi Chris, Hope you're recovering well from the surgery. From what I could gather, there are no drug interactions listed between Norco (acetaminophen + hydrocodone) and Motrin (ibuprofen). So I don't see why it wouldn't be ok to take them both together if that's what you need to do in order to achieve adequate pain relief. Also as long as it's the same doctor who prescribed both, I think that he/she would've informed you up front of any possible risks involved with doing so if there really were serious consequences to be had. I take Norco every day and my doctors told me that it was not in me. Is there any way to find out the truth? ## What kind of test did they give you to arrive at that conclusion? Was it a urine sample, blood work, etc? Are you taking any other medications or dietary supplements that could have affected such a test? ## it was a urine test from my pain doctor and I took one every day but the day I went to see him ## Hmmm, if you did take your meds the day before it should have come up in the test since it's usually about 2 days for the drug to be completely out of your system. What did the doctor do after the results came back? ## TOLD me that I will not get my pain meds from him any I have been on them for ten years for my back I have pins and scews. I have been prescribed Norco 10/325 for my pain management by my doctor for about a year. I was recently in a car accident and hospitalized for 2 days. The doctor in charge increased my dosage on my discharge papers to 2 pills every 6 hours as needed for pain, telling me to use my current meds instead of giving me a new script. I contacted my doctor, (and faxed her my discharge orders) knowing this would make me run out before an authorized refill. She wrote a new script for the same meds, and contacted my pharmacy for approval.
