Fill Rx In Flordia

on october 28, i will be moving to florida from alabama. i have a RZ for norco 10mg. i went to walgreens to fill it and was told they don't have any an had not idea as to when they would be getting some.i asked if they knew of any place that did have some, the girl told me as far as she knew everyone was out since the first of the month. if i take this RX to a walgreens in florida can they fill it.? i have had this RX fill many times at my walgreens here in alabama. i take this medication to the fact i am disabled, verified by medicare an social security

No, this is now a schedule 2 medication, so pharmacies will not fill one that has been written by a doctor in another state, due to the difficulty of verifying the validity of the prescription. They are also limited on how much they can keep in stock each month, which requires most pharmacies to limit their customer base to only people live within a certain radius of their location and whose doctors are located within that same radius.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Additionally, we are now in the time of year when there is almost always a shortage due to mandatory manufacturing limits. Once a company has hit their limit for the year, they can not make new product, until the new year.

Overall, it might be best to ask your doctor if they can prescribe and alternative medication, in the meantime, that you can get filled, now.
