The qualitest is on the FDA diversion list. Go to the CVS stores near you personally and speak ONLY to the pharmacist. Some will order it for you. By phone they ALWAYS say they don't stock it. A lot of work but you have a reliable pharmacy after that. ## This is just a reminder and I'm not sure of the Calif state laws governing Schedule II meds. They may be tighter than Federal Law. But, Norco and all other Hydrocodone Combination meds will be moving to a Schedule II later on this year. That means that the same restrictions that apply to Schedule II meds will also reply to these meds. RIght now, Norco and other hydrocodone combination meds are Schedule III. Schedule II ca...
I have chronic pain on my knee from a torn meniscus. Does anyone know of a good pain management clinic in SF bay area that makes you sign a opiate contract and receive this medicine? I know of a good clinic in Los Angeles but now I'm in SF and won't go down there for this prescription. Anyone know? Thank you if you can help. ## Aside from this meniscus problem, I have mri that are current to a back injury when I was rear ended in Texas, my doctor prescribe oxy and downgraded to hydrocodone. I have full insurance. I noticed it's different here in California. ## What is the name of the clinic in LA? I live there. I know a clinic that provides them for those who have had their prescriptions cut short, etc. Compassionate doctors. Have them contact me via this board. Will assist....
I've been on Suboxone for 6 years now & have been taking 2-4mgs daily for over a year now. I've recently went to the ER & have Acute Pancreatitis. I am very open & forthcoming to any & every doctor that treats me & always ensure they're aware of every medication that I take & it's indication of use. So with knowing I use subs the ER physician still prescribed the additional Norco 325 but only provided 10 tablets to help me get through the incredible amount of pain. Increasing the Suboxone does NOTHING to aide in the relief of pain, at all. It never has. I've been told that the Norco meds will not be able to make me feel high but why is that the first thing that is thought of? I'm NOT wanting to feel high AT ALL...hence the Sub treatment. H...
This new law is complete bulls***! I have to drive over an hour just to get my medication refilled. I am not like all the others who have 3 and 4 different meds to fill. I only have the one as I told my doctor I did not want to be on a bunch of meds that I would become hooked on but this is just a bigggg pain in the ass to have to call every walmart and pharmacy in town and 2 towns out just to get a script filled. this is just a waste of time. And costing us as patients more money as my doctor has now moved my appointments to every other month instead of every 3 months and I am a cash paying customer as I have no insurance to help with anything. Someone needs to give the DEA a brain and let them see all the trouble they are putting those of us who are responsible with our medications th...
Help please, Dr has retired without notice. And I'm left wondering what to do next. I have bee on norco, soma for terrible pain for many years. I'm 61 yes old it took for ever to finally get all my meds straight and the one's that work the best. I am not a pill popper druggie just looking for next Dr. I severly have major back problems,' muscle, joint and arthritis problems short list. Any Dr in the east Texas area that will write for pain meds?sammy ## Hello, Sammy! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. Due to the new regulations that were set forth by the DEA last year, you'll most likely need to see a pain management specialist. A general practice physician won't be able to prescribe them for you. The FDA lists Norco as bein...
I have a prescription for norco from my pain management dr and now I'm afraid I won't be able to fill it Friday when it's dated for. Anyone know where I can fill it without a problem? I can only get it one day in advance. Please let me know. I live in fresno ca.Thanks in advance
UpdatedOnly the Watson Norcos work for me and now my insurance will not cover Walgreens which is the only pharmacy that carries them. I've tried Amneal Norco, Qualitest Norco, and Mallinckrodt Norco. NONE of them work unless I take 1.5 tablets. I have learned that it is PERFECTLY LEGAL for generic drugs to contain ONLY 80% of the active ingredient, which is clearly why I need 1.5 tablets! (How is this legal?! It is shameful, is what it is!!!!!) Unfortunately, if I take 1.5 per dose, I will run out of them before my next doctor appointment. Please help! Is there ANY generic Norco besides Watson that contains 100% of the active ingredient included in the brand-name Norco? Otherwise I have to pay $95/month IN ADDITION to my very expensive insurance. I will have to quit paying for insurance in...
I have a prescription for Norco 10/325 I take it as needed for back pain. When I went to see my doctor a few months ago I had to take a drug test. This was no problem because I don't take any drugs other than my prescription. At the next visit I was told I had alcohol in my system. It was a low amount but the doctor said any alcohol is not allowed. I have to go back in 15 days for a follow up urine test. I'm always carful not to mix alcohol and my medication but I do drink, mostly related to my job. Can you give me some information about this. What kind of drug tests are being used (how many panels)? How long will alcohol stay in my system? How can I flush my system before the next test? I live in Illinois. Thanks.
UpdatedI have a script and cant get it filled at all in FL. because I went to DR. for Suboxone NOW No one will fill it and Dr. office wont because pharmacy called them. cant have 2 class 11 scripts now. can you help me?? fed up with this nanny state
UpdatedI have been on norco 10 for about 10 months. The first 2 to 3 months I was taking 2 to 4 a day. The last 6 or 7 months I have been taking 1 and on a very rare occasion I have 2. I stopped 2 days ago and the nights are horrible. Can't sleep, have very bad RLS and my stomach hurts! Shoul I start taking again and tapper down? ## Hello, Brent! How are you? According to the FDA, the symptoms you've described are all normal withdrawal effects. However, since you were down to taking so few for the last few months, they likely won't get much worse and shouldn't last more than a week or 2. You may also experience chills, nausea, drowsiness and diarrhea. How are you feeling, now?
I haveve Sciatica pains for that reason I am taking 1 pill 5/325 a day , for 18 months Due know my Dr is out of town ,and I do not have any more vicodin, but a I have some leftovers of tramadol hcl50 mg , How much will be of tramadol to equal my vicodin prescription ,and all so if I will have side effects for the change ## Hello, Ed! How are you? According to the conversion charts provided by GlobalRPh, one 50mg Tramadol is equal to one 5.325 Norco/Vicodin. Though, you shouldn't take the Tramadol, unless your doctor approves. Tramadol is a very mild opiate. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can ...
I have a paper/written script for norco from my home in MI. I have been a customer at Walgreens for 20+ years and the pharmacy here in GA won't fill it, even though they can see I have been refilling every month for over 3 years. Is there a pharmacy that will fill it? or is it a GA law now? What about TN? I can drive there in about 2 hours. It should not be this hard to get a refill. ## Hello, George! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. Due to the new regulations that were put out by the DEA last year, as well as the fact that Norco was changed to a schedule 2 drug this past October, most pharmacies aren't going to fill an out of state prescription. It makes it much harder for them to validate it and the mandatory order/stock restrictions on cont...
I am needing a pain mngmnt Dr in okc that will prescribe me my fentaynal .75 patch every 48 hours and norco 10 mg, 4 times a day. I just don't know who to go to without Dr shoping. Was seeing Dr jenkins when someone I know stole my check, when I called the police to make the report, she called Dr Jenkins office and told them I was selling my medication. I had to stop physical therapy, and all I am doing is turning to mush. I need help, and so help me no one will ever know the name of my Dr. ## Hello Carrie! How are you? Unfortunately, if your prior doctor dismissed you, that is going to be noted in your medical records and any new doctor is going to require a copy of them, before they agree to treat you. According to the FDA, these medications carry the risk of being habit forming a...
In the detroit area there is a incredible shortage of norco. Pharmacy's say they have no info. Called FDA. Release date dec 15th add 3-4 days for delivery from distributors. I'm just trying to be patient but I'm finding it difficult. If you frequent a CVS pharmacy STOP they are so rude. Find a neighborhood pharmacy ## Hello, Sa Bic! How are you? I'm sorry that you're having a problem getting your prescription filled. It is common for shortages to occur towards the end each year, due to DEA mandated manufacturing limits on controlled substances. Once a manufacturer reaches their limit for the year, they can no longer manufacture new product, until after the new year. Inevitable, demand exceeds supply and shortages occur. According to the FDA, this is a narcotic analge...
I am concerned I recieved some norcos from a mom and pop pharmacy. they were yellow but a brighter yellow than usual. I had a few left that I got from a cvs and they were a lighter yellow enough to see the difference with the eye .but when I split. Them both in half the inside are the same yellow with the crystals .. Have anyone else seen a brighter yellow v/3601 norco I don't knw if this pharmacy giving fake pills?? But effect seem the same ## Hello, Mike! How are you? Actually, the PDR pictures do show this tablet in a couple different shades of yellow. There is no specific criteria that defines what the color should be and it can sometimes vary, depending on the manufacturing process at the specific place where they have been made. It is really nothing to worry about, as long as ...
Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (now Actavis, Inc); located at: Morris Corporate Center III 400 Interpace Parkway Parsippany, NJ 07054 Contact Details: Phone: +1 862 261-7000 Website: actavis.com ## Hi Alice, I appreciate you sharing the contact info for Actavis, as I imagine that they are probably getting swamped with complaints from manufacturing inferior products such as Norco. Hopefully enough to trigger a change back to the old formula. I also want to mention though, that the phone number for U.S. Customer Relations is different than the one you posted to their "Administrative Headquarters". The number listed on their webpage for Customer Relations is +1 (800) 272-5525. However there's no mention of what office hours they hold on any given day, so if you are able to get th...
i took 4 narcos on a friday and my new doctor is giving me a saliva test on the next tuesday. will it show up at all in my results??? need a straight answer asap!!!! ## Yes, there is a good chance that it will be detected. Norco contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, the latter is a narcotic and it can be detectable in a saliva swab test for up to 2 weeks, after last dosing. The time frame, however, will vary from person to person, depending on your overall health, metabolism, activity levels and etc. Learn more Norco information here. Are there any other comments or questions? ## No it will not! Just had a 10 panel test done. Negative. Took 3 narco 10s on a Friday, took test Tuesday morning. Hope this helps ## I have never taken a Norco huh go figure I take one to get rid of my body a...
Can I take half of one as I have never taken a painkiller before....I had a tooth pulled ## Hi Jorden, I haven't found any medication by the name of "Nophen"... Did you mean to say "Norco"? Norco is available in dosages of 5/325 (hydrodocone + acetaminophen) for moderate to severe pain relief. And to answer your question. This type of pill is ok to break in half, since it's not time-released. I believe there's also a score line dividing the pill for such purposes if I'm not mistaken? Hope this helps!
Although it doesn't relieve my pain, knowing that I am not the only one struggling with the pain and lack of availability of pain medications is somehow comforting to my psyche. Thanks for all the threads. Today I called my online pharmacy, Express Scripts, to see if I could get my pain medication through them. Norco 10/325. They have this pain med in stock, but require a written script as other pharmacies. They can take some kind of online form of the Rx (forgot the name). The trouble is all pharmacies are prohibited from filling a script more than 2 or so days in advance so I am still in trouble as it can take 5-7 days for shipping. As well, they can only send one month at a time. I may try working with this avenue somehow. Excuse me for a moment as I need to vent about one thing....
Updatedhalf white pill oblong marked with a number 10 ## Hi Tami, Comparing several images, I have a good guess that it may be a white oblong pill marked with IP 110 on one side and scored on the other. If I'm seeing this correctly, when you split the tablet in half there would be one half with IP 1 and the other half would just have the number 10 on it. It's reported to be identified as a 10/325 generic Norco pill, made by Amneal Pharma. But maybe you could also look up the IP 110 imprint in order to help draw a conclusion on whether this is it or not?
