I am a case manager and I have a young quadraplegic with a g-tube that needs Baclofen suspension. does anyone know where I might be able to get this for him? ## Actually, your pharmacy or the small pharmacies that do compounds should be able to mix it up. Do you have any hospitals in your area that has outpatient pharmacies? This is your best bet. If your pharmacist is leary to do it have him go to www.sickkids.ca/pharmacy as this website gives him step by step instructions on how to mix the compounds. ## That is correct, if a regular pharmacy doesn't carry it in a suspension form, any compounding pharmacy should be able to fill the prescription for you. I've been trying to figure out what type of pill these are. I was told they are Soma from Mexico but can't find anything to back it up. It's a round white pill with a fancy capital R on one side and nothing on the other side. Please help. ## Did you ever figure this out? I have this same pill. Can’t find anything on it ## I've probably identified your "R" and it could be Xanax, according to a Nigerian website. However, pills with no # on it means they are either not from the U.S., or possibly counterfeit. I'm currently taking the R 131 1 mg from Activas/Teva. The ones you have sound fake as they are embossed with the company logo with no NDA #? I'd toss it.

what drugs are compatable with soma ? I have been told not to take tramadol with it , What about lyrica? ## No one here is qualified to answer your question(s) with absolute certainty. Why not check with a Medical doctor? ## Hello, Cathy! How are you? I didn't find any interactions listed between Soma and Lyrica, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. The main issue is that Soma has an effect on serotonin levels in the brain, so it may be dangerous to combine it with other medications that also have an effect on it, such as Tramadol, because it creates the risk of Serotonin Syndrome, which could be fatal. Lyrica, however, does not affect serotonin, it works on different brain chemicals. Where there other drugs that you wanted you to check? ## Sorry to ...

Hi. I'm looking for a pain management doctor in New Orleans/Westbank/etc area. I'm 27 and some places I called only accepts 35+. My Doc of 6yrs has cancer, so he transferred his patients. I recently found a Doc, but he doesn't prescribe soma, and reduced my pain meds. I rather just find a Doc in my area, than drive to BR each month for less meds. Thanks. ## Many Doctors do not like to prescribe Soma. You are also taking Pain Meds too? As you know pain medicine and Soma go together. Doctors know this too. Now that Soma a Schedule IV medication, you will find it harder to obtain. Still possible. ## Hi, Honey! I'm very sorry about the problems you're having. Unfortunately, even if I researched doctors for you in that area, I have no way of knowing what age or type of pa...
white oval pill w/ west ward on it along with the number 252 at bottom of pill. it's a caplet ## white oval shape pill says west ward 252 on it what is it? ## I am sorry, this is not listed in any of the US prescription drug databases, it is possibly something available over the counter, or perhaps something that has been discontinued so it is no longer actively listed. ## white oblong tablet imprinted with west-ward 252 on one side. Can anyone ID? ## It Is Robaxin, used to treat skeletal muscle conditions such as pain or injury aka Methocarbamol. Pretty strong and prescription only. ## this is a terrible muscle relaxer unless you have a very low tolerance to medications. For true relief try soma (the generic carisopridol works just as well) but be careful as they will relax ALL of ...
Round white pill no imprint? HAB pharmaceutical licence #48/ua 2006 ## Looks like a cheap generic of Soma (Carisoprodol), possibly produced semi-legally in response to rising demand on account of an increasing number from international orders to Indian pharmacies. Doesn't seem to be effective much. ## Pain-O-Soma is a very minimal substitute for Watson brand Soma at best. Even though it is plainly marked Carisprodol 350mg tablets they are placeboes in comparison. My advice is find a nice family dr that will prescribe it from a US pharmacy. There have recently been several states added as no ship states for Soma only in many cases. ## And if there are no markings on the tablets, there is no way to establish whether or not the medication you received actually contains Carisoprodol or ...
Was taking soma till my insurance put me on tizanadine 4mg once a day which does nothing is that a comparison choice? ## Hello, Annie! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. No, none of the others are really as good as the Soma. The closest might be Skelaxin, which contains the active ingredient Metaxalone, so you may want to ask your doctor about trying it. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I WAS TAKING SOMA 3 AT BEDTIME INSURANCE DOES NOT WANT TO PAY FOR SOMA NO MORE THEY GAVEME TIZANIDINE 4MG HOW MUCH TIZADINE I SHOULD TAKE AT BEDTIME ## Hi I saw your thead and if your ins does want to oay for your soma, be aware that soma is an inexpensive medication. Can you take this muscle relaxer with a pain pill? A Vicodin 5/500? ## Sure no problem if you want to get really messed up. ## Yes you can take Baclofen with Vicodin. I take Baclofen with Norco 10/325. Have been on this cocktail of these two meds for quiet sometime now. May make you a little drowsy at first but once your system gets used to it there is no problem. Hope this helps, God Bless, and you will be in my prayers. I am on these due to a spinal birth defect from birth. ## These medications are often prescribed together to treat pain, and the muscle spasms that can contribute to pain. However, they should only be taken together with a doctor's approval, and under a doctor's regular supervision of the patient, because both of them can cause depression of the central nervous...
i have recently been prescribed zanaflex. I was told it's a mix of xanax and flexirl. I was just wondering if anyone else has taken the drug and does food really effect it. ## Hi. I just had back surgery 10 days ago. Because of the length and sverity of my condition (a double herniaton of the L-5 disc) I have had severe muscle spasms all up and down both legs and in my back. It just so happens that I have just completed my certivicate in drug and alcohol rehab counseling., and am finishing up a course in PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY. I've just started taking this drug, since I told my doctor that I can't handle FLEXERIL, which is NOT an anti-inflamitory or a muscle relaxer. Flexeril is a benzodiazapine - a sedative, which is why it is sometimes prescribed for muscle pain. There is NO ...
I start a new muscle relaxer tonight called Baclofen. I'd been taking Soma fit years and it's just not helping with the terrible spasms anymore. I'm hoping the Baclofen does the trick. Does anyone know if it's stronger than Soma? I hate taking new meds. I'll make my husband stay up awhile to make sure I don't have a bad reaction. ## Hello, Donna! How are you? No, it is not as strong as Soma. Soma is actually the strongest muscle relaxant available. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Baclofen as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Have you taken it, yet? If so, did you experience any problems? ## Hi Donna, how's it going? I take High-Dose Baclofen (currently 150mg a day titrating up to 350mg a day) for alcoholism. I do get some...
